Hey KiwiMum, my free TRAM recovery is going well. I have been going once a week to the physio and at our appt this week he judged that my arm movement is back to normal :-)

Recovery going back a bit this week as I had an ovarian cyst removed laproscopically yesterday. I have 3 incisions, one top left abdo, one centre right, and one they opened up right in the middle of my TRAM scar. Not much pain but it's definitely uncomfortable...

Hey Jenn. I'm glad your recovery has gone well. Gosh, on top of everything else, an ovarian cyst is the last thing you need. I hope you heal fast!

It's mighty hot and muggy tonight! It's a shame we are forecast for Xmas rain!

how far is the rain getting to kiwi mum, you guys up there or does it  cover most of island, that counts the beach picnic out if it raining, we not doing much, the boys want to sleep most of it, they have a had very hard road lately, with the  bussiness hassels, and the latest one of our truck drivers failed to show since wed and has not returned, and we had to abandon a truck run as hubby had to do his in levin, hubby did feilding normally and the company we contracted to had to get a temp. this guy has our company phone. if we have not heard after weekend, i am going to suspend the services of that number, meanwhile it is only contact we have of him and the police have that  as well, we have  reported him as missing from our employment. there  has been no contact from him, there were two texts made wed morning at 4am and 4.15, it is very weired as we dont know if he is inured anywhere. oh well just have to see. so sleep  and movies on christmas day if raining.  DAY OFF>

Midnight, it is an absolutely beautiful night here and so warm. Not sure that the rain will actually come as the forecasts are so general at times.

DH just wants fine weather until Monday so that they can pick as much fruit as possible before Christmas. The export stuff has to be out Sunday Night.

Have had a visitor for a couple of days then I recovered.

    Big hugs

Midnight it's hot and sunny today. If the forecast is right we are due to get the tail end of Cyclone Evan on Xmas Day. Lets hope it moves away!

We are off up north to Taupo Bay on the 28th so I want the storm gone by then!!

I hope your temp worker is OK. Hopefully he's not done a runner with your phone!

    Hi all.

Just popping in to say hi & Merry Christmas.

I hope everyone has a lovely time and that all things BC related can go on the back burner for a while!

Hi to all the new people. Nice to 'meet ' you... Smile

I think the rain is heading in here now, hopefully it will stop for Christmas day. I got lots of outside chores done and DH finished the deck (a few minutes ago!) so we are nearly set for the influx of family.

(I like your new avatar kiwimum- is that your real hair at last?)

Anyway, Happy Holidays & stay safe  *** Laughing ***

Had the most wonderful Christmas with all my family. Dinner on Christmas Eve. Wonderful turkey and ham, salads, a sweet potato bake and more followed by fresh berry fruit salad, pavlova and triflle as well as Christmas pudding.

This was after a cricket game on the back lawn - the big boys playing with the little ones cricket set until it got a bit more serious and some old bats were found.

Yesterday we had a light lunch - just added salmon and bread to the left overs. Took MiL home and then watched five hours of Pride and Prejudice. Had a sandwich at some point.

So I hope your day was as good as ours. The grandchildren were wonderful (Sam did have a trantrum when his mother tried to get him to draw on a write-on book. I suddenly realised what he was saying no book no book. He has been told so often you don't write on books, he was happy when I found paper and we sat a drew for ages).

I am sitting here feeling all content.

    Big hugs

Just heard Alastair was found about an hour ago. I am so relieved that I am in tears. His mother certainly didn't need that, she is one of us having had a dreadful year with BC and treatment and is not out of the woods yet with things.

Have a great New Year everyone.

    Big hugs

hey M not much, the streets were in full party swing last night and we did not get alot of sleep. did not arise til 11 lol.  there were  fire works and the darn dog would not  shut her gob, but neither did any other in street, so  until the fire works were over, she was not either. the boys went down to foxton to get 16 chooks, they are laying ones, so hopefully some nice poached eggs coming up lol, nothing like the fresh layed eggs aye. my little, baby inside, Heidi, little dog is taking  that cats death  quite badly, she follows us around to every room of house, cry and squeals  when we leave the inside of house, they were very good mates. slept, played heaps,, so going to have tp put some drastic measurers in and be cruel to be kind. we had it before with my other little dog like her when  her freind died, i was withn my mum then, her and prince were inseperable, and whn he got sick and died she got very  upset and i had to  ring  some professional to see what to do. this ones is a  long the same lines. this ones also has  lost our little dog  shadow on the dam road too, so its two mates she has lost in past few months. but i will have to ask my mum how we got  abbie thru, so that heidi will have to do the same. we go to bed, her head is on our shoulder, she follows us to the loo etc. she is  def grieving for little puss and only happened since that has. we need  to go out with out her having a melt down, anyway will go and feed bunnies now. was lovely for you to have lovely lunch with yr mum, she would of enjoyed it very much.

    Hey all,

Hey Midnight you enjoying these cooler days? I am. Blowed if I could get used to 30 and 31degrees. Too hot for me. Nice bit of rain we've been having too. A further 13mls in the rain gage this a.m. Good for the farmers here. Was getting a bit worried there early Dec. They were saying we're in  for a dry summer and I thought for once they might be right but NAH,  as usual they're wrong.
