    Wendy, great news! Yahoo!

Z, I hope you are getting to enjoy Japan. I can't wait to read all about this treatment. I believe I am losing the Ibrance train in Dec. My MRI was not good. For some reason, they did the whole pelvic area. Possible new tumor in left hip and probably in bone marrow in the right hip. I see Mo after pet scan in Dec. Good luck! I told Dh I wanted to go if this works for you. He is totally on-board. Thinking of you.

So very happy for you, Wendy! Fingers crossed for you, Babs, and for you Gracie as you navigate this dentist thing. And for you Z - you are a pioneer and we're all watching and cheering you on.

A small update after my day in the ER over the weekend due to blood clots. I saw my MO yesterday. It's so confusing, but at this point I don't know why I'm still surprised. He doesn't think the cancer is causing the blood clots as he can't find any clear evidence of cancer in me right now. That's obviously a big statement and we know it's a systemic thing, but still it left my head spinning. So we don't know what caused the clots - could have been as silly as my port, which has been very tempermental of late throwing off a clot while getting flushed. If my CT of the chest was scheduled differently, we may not have ever seen them. but, since we have, we have to treat them. I'll be on this eliquis drug for 6 months and then they'll evaluate whether I can get off of it.

Jen- I love that you have no cancer right now! That is so exciting! Hopefully it was something that will reverse and you can get off that medication in 6 months. All sorts of "fun" incidental findings while looking for cancer. I found out about one when it showed up on my problem list- they saw it on the PET so had to report it.

Wendy, great to hear the good news. Babs good luck with your scan. Gracie, I finally got the ok to even get my teeth cleaned after being on Xgeva now for one year. My MO is really strict about the dental thing. Jen, I know nothing about blood thinners but I always worry about clots especially when flying. I hope you can get it sorted out. What one more pill.? I feel like I’m a pharmacist with all the stuff I’m on. Thinking of everyone! Hugs to all,

Z, hope Japan is working out for you. My husband was traveling there once and said it’s difficult to travel, no American signs. Good luck and stay strong!

    Great updates Wendy and Jen!

I'm going on for a brain MRI this afternoon due to a headache that lasted almost a week. I do have a history of oddball migraines that range from temporary blindness in one eye to an earache but it's never lasted this long. Obviously, I hope this crap remains bone only, fingers crossed.

Here for you, Illimae. Hope it's NOT brain mets.

As I've written elsewhere, once they crash our little cancer party, it's a whole new ballgame.

Hoping for only good news, Illimae and Babs. Praying for you both!

Thrilled to see you've had such a great response to Taxol, Wendy! Hooray!!!!!!

Jen, so sorry about the ER and blood clot issue, but so glad it was caught and your docs are on top of things. Just curious, did your onc rule out Femara as being the possible culprit, assuming you're still on that? I'm asking because that crossed my mind, and then I found this... https://www.oncolink.org/cancer-treatment/chemothe... And wonderful news about no evidence of disease!!! That's absolutely wonderful!

Lindalou, I was hoping you'd be joining me on Xeloda, but sounds like your onc has decided on a different combo for you. Hopefully, it will be exactly what you need right now. And so disappointing that the RT didn't help your hip pain. I'm praying you fall into the percentage for which Gemzar + Carbo will ease your pain. How did your first infusion go?

Z, what's this about Japan? I must have missed something...

    Hi to everyone else.

Wendy- So happy for you on the scan news!!! Now you can relax a little :)

Jen- Yay Ned! He's a favorite date with this group...

Babs- Hope the scans are boring and show plain stable pix!

Z- Sending all good Zen for the new treatment!

    Fingers crossed for you Illimae!

Getting the results of my latest CT and bone scans Friday. The Brain MRI last week showed less definition on the lesion so we are back to wait and see mode. They are not thinking of LM right now and I'm grateful. This scan cycle is like a being sent through a haunted house every four months.

    Sending good vibes to everyone!

Deanna, i was thinking along the same lines as you as I am on Femara still. Dr Glaspy dismissed it saying it wasn't likely, If I still have them in 6 months maybe he'll revisit that idea.

Although I loved hearing him say he doesn't see any cancer in me, I know it's systemic and that it really could be the cancer. I'm so grateful to be stable right now.

The rollercoaster we ride with MBC is just too much for me sometimes.

iwrite, your haunted house analogy is great and this cancer sneaks up and scares us. Glad they aren't thinking LM. That's great news! Hope you get good results in the rest too

Just got a call from the nurse who won't tell me anything other than my MO wants to see me on Monday to discuss the results. This sucks :(

I told her I need to know something today, waiting on another call back.

Sorry, illimae. That's just cruel. I would call them back multiple times until I got an answer.

Good grief Illimae. Call the medical records department and tell them to fax you the damn scans. You need the COB. Lie and say you have other consulting physicians that need a copy, if they demand a reason. Monday? No.

Well, I've got 5 tiny lesions to the cerebellum suspicious for metastasis, more scans tomorrow.

Tiny is a good word, and suspicious is better than confirmed. Wishing you more clarity and good news through your scans tomorrow. I'm hopeful too that some of the new targeted therapies that cross the BBB like abelmiacib will kick butt on whatever may be there and keep anything new from taking root. Keep breathing and know that we're all here with you, Illimae.
