Teka I always love to hear when u had a good time--sounds so good. Love Jazz and Jazzy.
Pictures perfect all of them and Ducky adorable HI FIVE PLAYDOUGH pic.--silly woman.
Blondie not only are u having a miserable time from this crap not having money actually makes it worse. I know money isn't everything but when u don't have it stress just hangs on u,--I know this--I don't have a car and even tho I might not want to use it often I still miss it and I can't afford another one either. It all sucks. All this chit totally destroyed me financially in many ways so I get it, but I do wish u felt better at least, it's so tough on you I hate that.
I did have a nice weekend with my DD1 overnite with Joey of course, cuz we sleep together and u know how he cuddles so I do have that joy and he's off all week so he tole me--Just think Mammaw u'll have me all week--yea right he'll be playing with his friends all week. But he'll make me my coffe in the morning and we'll talk. So there is a lot that I am thankful for.
Just thought I'd pop in to say Hey and hope everyone is doing OK.

blondie i dont understand the US health system but can you get disability? Would that help? I feel for you having had several years of financial struggle, ironically i took out a policy against cancer and within three months of diagnosis it paid out, not a fortune but takes some of the pressure off, still have two mortgages! I wish fir a solution fir you, i think you cope so elegantly

Cami, good to hear that D didn't keep you from visiting DD1.
Teka, your evening of music and friends sounded like a definite treat. Do you often go to events at the college?

Good morning Blondie and Lily.

To those who never actually met Blondie...........I did........she is a joy to be with.....you would never know she gets as sick as she does, or has the troubles she sometimes faces............I know of many who could take a lesson from her............Your a class act Sandy............I know......the smile never left your face......it was a pleasure to meet you..............and an even bigger pleasure to spend time with you..........

Thanks ducky my pleasure and Lily I do get disability but that is it no retirement and I am a single parent, my parents are deceased all I have is my kids older and 2 20 year olds that live with me with no job, they do check on me and do things NOW if I ask...My older ones will also if I ask, but I had relying on my kids...I have friends but again hate asking them for things, it is me.....as far as my car etc. it will work itself out somehow, no worries....still feeling horrible, the diverticulitis is flaring up again, ate tomatoes and lettuce which is a no no but hasn't made it flare up lately....I love that you all care about me...thank you for caring....back to lay down...I was checking to see if the person that died had his obit in the paper, yet...it wasn't....so sad..I have lost at least 6 people that I went to chemo with...depresssing....
luv you guys!!

LOL at the Issy pic. Kids are such cards!
((((((((((((((((((((Blondie))))))))))))))))))))))
Finally-spring has made an appearance and what a day to do it. Pirates opener and we won 1-0 in an extra inning.
I think I got some sun too! LOL! I parked in town and enjoyed a nice walk over to the park. They always close the Roberto Clemente Bridge for the games so I walked back and forth on that until I found a single ticket for the sold out game. I missed seeing my friend before the game, but met several people and one of my coworkers was sitting in front of me and we didn't realize it until the end of the game haha. Glad I treated myself to a day at the ball park.
The season finale of How I Met my Mother is on tonight. I don't know why, but I got into this show via Netflix and I am excited I am actually off to see it tonight. I am a dork!
Wishing everyone well and hoping for an uneventful week if not a pleasant one to all

Sandpiper, your afternoon at the ballpark with a walk built in sounded like fun, and it brought back old memories of Pirate games ... so,thanks for the memories ... when I say old I am referring to games with Bill Mazeroski at 2nd base.

OMG, Sally, Seriously?????
When they built the new PNC park, they paid tribute to the many who built the organization and made the team what they are today. Playersd, owners, reporters and so on.
Bill, of course, is amongst the many. When my son was in Boy Scouts we toured the Park and they explained the reasoning behind every room, fabric choice etc etc. As much as every one hates Barry Bonds (he gave Andrew McCutcheon his MVP award today), he did wonders for the organization before he, switched teams, did steroids and became a less than likable person. I remember seeing Willie Stargell when I was very young. Him and Franco Harris made me see stars....and years later when I was in my 20's my sissy and I saw Lynn Swan at a restaurant we were having dinner. Yowza, he really was all that. Now, that said, I am far from being a person who is "star struck" but when you cross paths with legends that you see on tv it is kind of surreal. Being from a town that is often still confused with steel manufacturing and grit, there really is so much more than sports..........I wanted to move away so bad and now I find I am often proud of what this city has to offer....on so many levels. Except better weather. LOL....but now is the time of year I love besides Fall.

Ducky that pic is certainly one of u'r GGD--who else???
Piper u really had a nice day today all the way around and gave Sally some good memories with you. Good for u.
my day was a little busy on the phones I wrote the Governor of IL (again) they ignore me--we had a window open today first time wow---well it supposed to get cold again, but one window leads to 2, then 3 then well u get the idea.
Have to stop at the hospital tomorrow for a quick test then Monday the scan. Fun just keeps on going.

Hi hermits- I wanted to pop in and say hi and also that I would likely be off line the next week. Going on my trip Thursday to Fort Worth, and lots to catch up on. And then the dumb client site threw some extra "to dos" my way this week. Of course they did.
Ducky- I have no doubt Blondie is just as lovely in person as she is here. I know Blondie is really struggling and not feeling well most every day. She is amazing to me, and I pray for her wellness.
And Blondie, I am sorry you have lost so many friends going through chemo with you. That is very hard to be witness to.
Piper- I saw the finale too of How I Met Your Mother. Really good and did not expect all that but loved the ending.
I saw the east coast was getting more snow today. I hope this crazy endless snow stops. Tomorrow is April (we can get snow here in NM until the end of May and have gotten snow as late as May 1st).
Wishing everyone a good week and will pop back in after I am back!

Jazzy, I am such a dork I cried, especially when they showed the scene of the wife in the hospital bed
and have seen enough of the series to know the significance of the blue horn.
I am probably PMS-ing too
A cry is always a sign
Wishing everyone a restful night and safe travels Jazzy-Enjoy!

Cami, hope your test goes well today.
Jazzy, have a great trip and sorry that work put pressure on this week.
Sandpiper, although I have lived elsewhere for many years, Pittsburgh remains a home city to me. I think it's beautiful, and I continue to root for its teams. I remember going "into town" on the bus to shop at Kauffman's, Hornes, and Gimbels. Of course, I wore my white gloves and probably a hat.

Sally....believe I told you before.....my grandson went to CMU, so I am very familiar with Pittsburgh every Saturday for 4 years to watch him play football...........and then back for a weekend stay for his graduation..........a lovely city........ate at Shiloh, and stood on the terrace that overlooks the city right where the 3 rivers meet........still have a picture I took of the skyline........really nice..........lots of good places to eat..........my grandson probably would have ended up living there had his girlfriend of 3 years not broke off with him....she was from Pittsburgh.............broke his heart...............is now married to a wonderful girl from Chicago, and they just bought a house............and so it goes........but they do love their sports and they are as bad as Philly fans when it comes to loyalty..........
Well maybe not quite as bad........our fans threw Snowballs at Santa.....at an Eagles game....even made the World News...........LOL.........

Sally............Wow a blast from the past..........Gimbels..........we had a Gimbels too........closed up years ago, and my mother used to go shopping there which we called Center City..........and yes she wore a hat and gloves........LOL.........always the lady...........now your lucky you can walk in downtown Philly ....so much has changed......none of the old "classy" stores......when you wanted the "best" that was where you shopped.
Sally have you seen DWTS........and the dancer with the artificial legs.........she is the most amazing person I have seen.....what a brave and beautiful girl....if you haven't you should just tune in one show to see her, and watch her dance.......I don't now how she does. it......she is the snowboarder from the Olympics this year who took the Bronze medal....that was awesome enough, but to see what she can do on a dance floor is amazing...........
Bill Mazeroski......another blast from the past...
Oh and Piper did you say Franco Harris......be still my heart, could that man play football or what, and Lynn Swann......you know your players girlie....................right now we are celebrating Nick Foles.....he is such a breath of fresh air.......so humble, and a real team leader........my son who owns his own company just bought a "box" in Lincoln Field....it seats 12, and you can sit either inside, or go outside if you want to a terrace like spot.....all the food and drinks are served to you, you don't ever have to leave the box.......and we just got Mark Sanchez.........let Lesean Jackson go......great player, but has some baggage that Chip Kelly doesn't like.......
Wow so nice talking to my Pa. buddies.............us Pa. girls have to stick together.......even though your in Reno, Sally........We always say "you can take the girl out of Pa., but you can't take Pa., out of the girl.............hugs ladies.......
That goes for you too Blondie.................We're actually neighbors.......LOL

you are so right ducky!!0 -
Ducky, when I left Pittsburgh it was because my dad was transferred to Chicago. I always root for Chicago teams as long as they are not playing a Pittsburgh team. Pittsburgh teams come first. I have never switched my alliances to any of the Bay Area teams.
Teka, we live near the University of Nevada, Reno, but never go to events except graduations and classes. I realize that we are missing some wonderful opportunities. DH and I are truly happy hermits.
