Hi all, Happy Birthday as think I missed JAzzy´s birthday, sorry......I have been missing as soo so exhausted, had another lot of scans as bad blood results for liver and even Doctor was worried but nothing found on ultrasound but I still have high liver enzymes and high virus load.....really tired of feeling tired, had an accident and was put on valium due to the physical trauma so sleeping a bit better at moment but on painkillers so the benefits are kind of negated!! Today is the third anniversary of the day the Doctor sat back in her chair. looked at me adn said "I told you so", I told you it was cancer before we did the tests...............so its my three year helliversary. I am still unreconstructed adn hating that......and aslo the whole area, up to my throat, gets tighter adn feels more crushed almmost every day where I had radiotherapy and that is getting me down, I have no energy to exercise which kept me going before, and no income....living on savings or credit cards.....working hard to try and get some of my plans to generate income come to fruition but its so not easy.....I think I should feel grateful but actually I just feel worn down and some days I wonder if survival was worth it as I struggle so much some days, mentally, physically (they are getting more frequent) and emotionally............

Anyway hope everyone is having a good Easter.....

I miss my grandma too at every holiday! Sometimes, the memories are bittersweet because she was my best friend and supporter and I miss her so much!

Teka- ugh, winter is holding on.

It got windy here yesterday and cold last night, which can still happen into April. No snow though.....

Two photos for you, the first is something called a Belgian Hybrid Orange Bush Lily. I bought it for my Easter flower and more on the tropical side, so it will be outside for the warmer months in a pot and come in for the winter. One of my friend's mom has them back east and said they bloom beautifully every year if kept away from too cold weather.

Second is an outstanding wisteria I saw last weekend across from my friends house I visited on Easter evening. The aroma standing next to this bush was amazing.

Ha- mommy, what is he doing?

I got some sad news late yesterday. A good friend from days gone by passed at age 52 this week and left a young daughter. We used to be good friends when she lived here and we worked together at a job. She moved to TX about six years ago and we kept in touch for awhile but then I stopped hearing back from her about three years ago. I called a mutual friend/colleague and heard it was complications from cancer. I had a good cry about it this morning. Cancer sucks.

I am going to play some music this morning. Good for the soul, especially after all this.

Just being a total butthead this morning. I was doing something at the time he was making coffee for himself and breakfast and I said "aren't you going to get me a cup?" He got crabby with me over it and I came back with "Hey, I make yours 5 days a week. Today you can wait on me for a change!" I ended up getting my coffee without having to get it by myself!

he also helped me bring in my late sister's stand for my fish tank so I could clean it up and get it ready for me to transfer the tank over to it from where it is now. I'll get that done by the end of the weekend.

Hi hermits- I played music and saw some friends today. Did some errands after. Going to nap and then work on the yard and walk tonight. That will be it for this Saturday.

    Blondie- no Chad today.....

    Hi everyone!

Bippy those are lovely memories.  My mom was like that too and I miss her so.  I was able to decorate for Easter, hide eggs for my 7 year old and do up baskets for both kids.  Luckily my sister did the dinner at her house so I could just enjoy myself.

I've been fighting a bad cough for 3 weeks and nothing seems to help.  Now my GP has me on a stronger antibiotic as the first one did nothing and she can hear fluid in my lungs.  I made them do a chest xray as I was never sick just started coughing. I kept thinking about lung Mets.  She thinks it could be a reaction to the herceptin so I'll have to talk to MO Wed when I have my next treatment.  I never knew cough and CHF can be side effects of this drug.  Needless to say I have been more of a hermit than ever.

The weather here in Wisconsin finally turned to spring!  My tulips are poking up and its in the 60's now during the day.  It snowed a couple days ago, go figure.

    Wishing you all the best.

jazzy, sorry about your friend. Cancer is an absolute scourge. My niece is 32 and stage 4 colon cancer. A rare kind that only 1% get. It has defied chemo and surgery, just continues to grow. Sad.

start a new job tomorrow. It is permanent and full time, doing estate planning instead of litigation and family law. So it is going to be very slow paced and no deadlines or awful stress. Not sure if I am ready or can pull it off. Gonna try it....if it aint good I will have to quit! Will be weird to have to work with others, my old place only had 3 people.

Buying plane tickets soon for trip to Maine in September. Looking forward to that.

Love the flower pics, so happy spring is arriving. It is hot here, and humid already.

Bippy- congrats on the new job. I think the pace will be perfect for you. Many of us have had to change how we work or who we work for after all that has been. I opt for simpler and less stressful work too. I hope it goes well and that you enjoy the new job!

I am very sorry about your niece. I remember a biology teacher telling me back in high school biology class in the 1970s that cancer is a disease of old age. Not true anymore. So many younger people getting it, and it is always so much worse for them too. Hugs to you and your family around this.

    thanks jazzy

It is heartbreaking. At least I can better understand it in older folks. She has a 12 year old son

I appreciate your thoughts on working. I had paralyzing anxiety about it a few days ago, lol, hilarious for this former stress/work junkie to be now AFRAID of my new venture! Funny how life changes. Not so long ago I could handle anything. Well, nothing lasts forever......

    Spring to all my Hermettes!!!

Bippy- I think we are all fearful about work situations after going through this. I took a contract right after surgery and was working during rads and after for a year or so. I did not think I could handle any of it, but had to work as a single woman and got through it. I found working gave structure to my life, along with income and helped me to focus less on the whole messy ride. I am now trying to do some bigger and better work and still looking to let go of the anxiety of the what ifs. I have to remind myself constantly I am not sick anymore, but also seeking more balance and to not OVER DO in my work like I used to.

You just go and take it one day at a time at this new job and know they will love you and it will help you to move on from all this. Let us know how things go as you get grounded. Time to start enjoying life again!

Heartbreaking about your niece and her young child too. My best friend growing up lost her mom at a young age and it was so hard for her. She is doing well now, and has a daughter of her own. May your family and that of your neice be infused with love and support.

    hi all!

My first day was great! My new coworkers are so nice and very helpful. They asked me to lunch, and we had a nice time. It is so laid back compared to litigation and family law. Looking forward to learning lots and getting in a new routine. Barely thought of BC today, wooohooo!
