Wirdgirl, I love the idea of that underwater equipment. That would be fantastic. I love water aerobics, and have had lots of Hydrotherapy for my Arthritis, but I have never heard of equipment under water.

Good morning Bobo, what's for breakfast? Lost post are a pain! I will lose bits or all of this one before I'm finished. User error I'm sure, in my case. Darn laptop. Yes take clean undies, left that out of the list, but I did take them, not sure if I wore them home, very drugged and not a happy camper that day. They had no bed on the post op floor so they put me on the cancer floor. The staff wasn't prepared and didn't know what to do with me, so I came home 22 hours after being admitted, much to the surgeons dismay. I was much happier at home. We kept the animals in different part of the house so they weren't a problem.

Wirdgirl, the underwater equipment sounds grand. Maybe a silly question but do you wear shoes on the underwater treadmill?

M, be careful on the ramps of death, that place is frightening! There is a gift certificate for a gym membership hiding in my desk drawer. The OG gave it to me for my birthday, I asked for it, but I've never used it. Guess I should call and see if its still valid. This is a nice place, its more for therapy really, so it would probably be of benefit if I would actually go there. You shopped on the way home from the hospital? You amaze me.

DD sent me a text after she was here on Friday, asking if she had left her belly button here. She said she had it on Thursday but by the time she got home Friday it had vanished and didn't even leave a lint trail. She can still see her feet at this point, any weight gain has been just in the tummy and she actually looks like there is a honeydew melon underneath her shirt.
I have 2 stories to share with you about her, both touched my heart and made me think that she has someone watching over her. On Thursday she stopped for gas after leaving job 1 and on her way to job 2. She sat in her little truck and counted her tips for the day deciding on how much gas she could actually buy. A lady at the next gas pump was watching her, and when she exited her truck the lady came over to her and said that she wanted to buy her gas that day. She looked at her astonished and not actually believing what the lady was saying. The lady repeated her offer, DD burst into tears. So the lady slid her credit card into the reader on the pump, told DD to put in what ever amount she felt she needed, then got into her car and drove away. I suppose some people would have taken that chance to fill up their vehicle, but she only put in $20.00 of gas the amount she had already decided she needed.
On Friday, before she lost her belly button. She was on her home from job 2, she phoned me in tears. She had been on a 2 lane road and met a car going at a high rate of speed, being chased by police cars. As soon as the speeding car passed her he went into her lane, running the car behind her off the road. The car behind her recovered, but less than a mile later the speeding car caused a horrible accident, the speeding driver passed away from his injuries yesterday.

Its windy, misting rain, a bit chilly, but I'm out the door to walk. Hugs to everyone.

Gramwe, what a nice story, there still is good people in this world. You should be proud that you raised such a kind thoughtful and so not selfish lady! and I am sure you are. sorry to hear about OG's surgery.. all kinds of trouble going around. Chuckling about the belly button.. good one!

Bike in pool sounds amazing! I wish I lived closer to a gym, would love it. We have a pool in town here but more winter than summer here...:(

gramwe, there is a Guardian Angel at work! I got goosebumps reading your post. I just love our girl and the Honey Dew melon! She's a credit to you and the OG. Isn't someone going to have the most wonderful Mommy!

Oh goodness, I'd all but forgotten the lost belly button! How funny is that!

Beautiful, still, sunny, morning here. Going to do the Rites and take Dex out for a walk. Yesterday I was worried towards the end of our walk that I might have a "Kite Dog" the winds were so strong I was afraid Dex may have lifted off.

Take care all, sleep tight...M x

gramwe, how funny about the missing belly button!! I can imagine how scared your DD was being that close to a major wreck all the while thinking it could so easily have been her! What a kind woman to pay for DD's gas! Wish we'd hear more about these acts of kindness on the news instead of all the bad things. And her good heartedness in only putting in the tank what she originally planned. As Moira said you have done a wonderful job and she in turn will be an amazing mommy too!

Kite dog! I will try to recreate some of my post now. Forgive brevity. I realize it's not going to be fresh.

M, cracking up at the story of your shopping on the way home from the mx, but not surprised. You must have been a beautiful Quasimodo with your broken toe! Thank you so much for your kind words. Thank you everyone, really, for your good advice, which I am going to follow to the letter. ND, so glad you made it out of babysitting alive! I think it was wirdgirl with that excellent advice about the pixie cut. Wirdgirl, right now I have the haircut of the blonde EF model, but not blonde. But I was thinking of growing it out so that when I'm rockin' the flatness people do not mistake me for a boy. Still, your pixie cut story was compelling. I'd love to wash my hair with a washcloth.

Granwe, I'd posted all these great tips for your BBQ!

    - I second Z. Have friends bring sides: mac and cheese, b beans, cole slaw, potato salad, and rolls. You do BBQ and iced tea. And beer: clean garbage can, ice, beer. Done.

    - You could do a great BBQ in the crock pot, if you like. Or two crock pots. Let me know ifyou want recipe.

    - I agree. Men should bring diapers, women whatever they want. I am not a fan of registries. Sometimes people can't afford what's on them. I think most of that baby stuff is easily gettable at consignment shops anyway.

    - decorations: yes! No need to do baby colors. What's DD's two fave colors? Grocery store, balloons in fave colors -- three bunches, helium balloons, and streamers. Done.

I reply to myself. Everyone has such good advice regarding keeping to myself. I am so sorry for everyone who has family somewhat like mine. I can't understand it at all. But if I can keep out of the way, I'm fine with it now. I don't want to revisit it if I can avoid it.

I'm going to replicate hospital list. It sounds nice and short. Going to PS tomorrow at the behest of the BS! Dressing up, feminine outfit, small talk, exhibiting sound mind, acting like the whole thing doesn't affect me, declining politely, etc etc. Working three jobs. Mothering.

Granwe, amazing story about DD. She is being protected! She is such a sweet darling. Send her here to live with me. Not the weasel, though. XXX

OMG! Of course I care!!!!!! Dead hairdryer, you don't have a spare? How I wish I lived closer, you could have one of mine! Before you all go whaaaaat, spare dryers...remember I worked at the airport International Concierge..up at 5am....I could not survive a bad hair day in that job..so I had everything covered!

I want to come with you tomorrow! Don't forget to mention extensive conversations with friends who have made the same decision and have absolutely no regrets! That has to count for something.

I definitely feel that there is a shift, even in the short time I have been coming here, more women are opting out of the recon, you see it on the other threads all the time, even deconstructing, because of the pain or disappointment!

I am so annoyed that you have justify yourself for a decision that is yours alone!

    Hugs for tomorrow! M x

I will be with you Bobo, but oh you might not like me to be there..Cause... I will be bringing beet pickles!! that is a food that people either love or hate!! and we love them! cloves and cinnamon make them the best! a friend told me to juice a beet, a carrot and an apple.. i tried it.. not too bad, but you better like beets! supposed to be very healthy and a bit of a cleanser too. It is getting cold here, raining all day, I need to get busy in our house because the mother and a sister of dil that passed away will be coming for a visit on Thursday and spending the night with us. The mom is 80 and always tries to get here at least once a year to visit her daughter's grave site... something no Mom should have to do. She is a wonderful lively, spirited woman and is such good company, I am looking forward to visit but just need to get rested a bit more! Hope things go well tomorrow Bobo.. we are all here for you.

I'm there. Apologizing in advance for runny nose (allergies), drooling from nap and maybe weepy. Love those hormones. Granwe mine is tamoxifen. We'll try to be quiet if Idesim will behave. She's still MIA.

Love pickled beets. So does the boy and DH. Who knows about the baby. She's so different. Some days she'll eat and others she won't.

The bag is going to be messy today. 9 a.m. I must say, these are difficult appts. PS. Psych. Good lord. And yes, I have a surgery date: it's December 6th. Pre-op appts all lined up. XX

Ok, I'm the odd person out. Hate beets in any form. One of my very few vegetable dislikes. The other is turnips. I think I don't like the sweetness of beets. I tend to prefer savory foods.

Kitty update: still throwing up overnight. Keeps it down during the day tho. Maybe we'll try sending her to bed hungry and see if that helps. She's gaining a little weight and growing enough fur to look gray rather than pink.

Just wanted to pop in and say I'm thinking of you all! *hugs*

Oh Zils, you're on Tami too. I hope it is nice to you... I don't really have SE's except for retaining SH1TLOADS of water and gaining SH1TLOADS of weight and of course I keep forgetting to take it which is annoying too!!

Sorry about your blowdryer Bobogirl, but I am not sympathetic (I'm grinning as I say this) because I TRIED to use mine for the first time in almost a year and almost burnt my scalp because my 1 1/2 inch hair is not long enough to BE blowdried. Do you know what my co-worker told me today... she told me I reminded her of the lunch lady when she was younger. Gotta love wise-asses.

Why am I pissy? Because I have to buy all new clothes and haven't really had time to shop.. so during my lunch hour I put in an online order to Macy's and I get an email saying my order was cancelled due to an security issue. Turns out my billing address was never changed from three years ago when I moved and I have been on hold trying to rectify it for the last 1/2 hour listening to BAD 80'S MUSIC that should never have been played again and I need these F'ing clothes because of F breast cancer and the fact I am now up 2 pant sizes since taking the F tamoxifen and NOW I AM GETTING A HOT FLASH which is going to cause sparse hair to now be sweaty laying on my head.

You all better not be laughing!!!!

Geezus, now we have moved on to horrible 70's soft rock.

Oh Zils, thought about you this morning and if I didn't have a piece of crap phone that is a million years old, I would have taken a picture. On the way to the subway this AM, a neighbor had big pots full of pink and orange mums and it made me think of you because I remembered you loving those colors.

    Bye!

In tears over the gas pump incident.. I'm glad I'm not the only one that bawls like a baby when somebody is nice to me... what a sweet thing to do.. it's so nice to hear there are kind ppl still in the world.

And as I am typing this my order from Macy's has been finished.. speaking of kind.. she gave me premium shipping for free even though it was my F up that caused her extra work. So sad about the accident.

Moira, I need to know how many hairdryers you have :)

Bobogirl you'll be fine tomorrow and I promise to behave... well.. as much as I possibly can with all these hormonal women around.

Oooooh! It's an Idesim Renaissance! L, F0ck Macy's and their stupid website! DON'T THEY KNOW YOU NEED PANTS. I swear -- whenever I get upset on the thread, my writing indents. Do you see it has indented?

Why do you have Herceptin again. I feel like you just had it. I thought it was every three weeks. Granwe, did you get my advisement on the BBQ? I so wish I was there to plan it with you. I am not kidding. And cook. I am a pretty good cook. I am sure you are better. I would make our lovely girl a cake. I make an excellent six-minute chocolate cake. With a mousse frosting. I use the good chocolate.

Birdie: excellent Celine update! Celine! Why do you throw up at night? Oh... I love her. I am lucky I have three cats already or I would be adopting her. Is she naughty? She is probably too weak to be naughty. Can you feed her lamb baby food? That is what my vet said to feed our girl kitty when she came home from the streets. She said to smear it on a plate and the kitty would lick it off slowly. You are an expert so you probably know even better advice than this.

ND -- December 6th! A day that will live in infamy! Except I just heard my date might change. Hopefully one day forward or back. I can't play around too much with the dates.

And now, I will shock everyone in our gang to the core. The PS flipped me. I'm having the recon.

Woops, child dinner is ready! More later! I feel I am disqualifying myself from the thread of my own making.

Wren, sorry to hear you have a sick kitty at night, I hope it works out soon. Great to hear the fur is coming in again!

ndgirl, Are the 5 yours? Did they just arrive for a feed? You just reminded me that I used to wrap beets in aluminum foil and bake in the oven. Haven't done that for years. Might try one in the Airfryer!

ldesim, so nice to have you back! I am so pissed for you at the mistake with your order, but how nice that the operator helped you out with the fast postage!

I also understand your feelings about the weight gain, I have been on bloody steroids so long now that I have steroid "gut"! Hate it with a passion.

OK, I have 4 hairdryers. One is a small travel one, for well, travel and one in Colin's bathroom, he has his hair washed and dried every day. One in my bathroom and a spare for if any break down:)

Now Bobo, my lovely. What happened? I need more details about the "Flip". You'll never disqualify yourself from here, but I need to know what changed your mind!

What color is the bedroom? All moved back in?

Welcome back Idesim. Herceptin tomorrow? I am confused about your schedule. Easily done. More weepy too. D@mn hormones. Cried watching tv today.

Wren do you hear her getting sick at night or just find it in the morning? Hope you sleep well.

Granwe. Awwwe. You should be so proud of your girl. When is the baby due?

GrammaB. Are squashes allowed in your diet? It's that time of year.

Ndgirl. Have you recovered? How many jars of pickled beets did you do?

I don't know what I thought. Four is about right if you think about it.

A little creepy. Is it full or will you be bringing it back? I have considered cremation but want my ashes scattered outside not sitting in someone's house but I guess it's more what they want or need.

I too, will be cremated, but I want to be scattered on my lake, right outside my house.

There are specific wishes about the scattering of Colin's Mother too, it's just that I feel creeped out about them being here and us taking them to the service.

We have a very sanitized view of funerals and death over here. Viewings, are not the norm and I've never even been to a funeral with an open casket. I guess that is why it is all a bit weird. Both my parents were buried, so I don't have any experience with an Urn. My rational side knows this is absolutely stupid, but I still feel weird. M x

ndirl, I love pickled beets, but sadly have had to give them up as way too many carbs. I can't tolerate any root veggies. :(( Enjoy your visit!

Zills, I've got a stupid runny nose that I can't seem to get rid of. Fall allergies I guess....

bobo, Dec 6 is a perfect date!! You'll be practically back to normal by Christmas. Did you have your psych eval today too?

wren, at least you are making some headway with the kitty. Hope she can keep the food down soon.

ldesim, I'm sorry you are having a rough time. And I am really sorry you are hung on the phone.... that can be so frustrating!! Glad you got it all sorted in the end.

We'd never laugh at you!! (((hugs)))

I can certainly appreciate the clothes frustration too. I lost 50 pounds since my diabetes dx last year and another 15 after F'n bc!! I bought new clothes last Winter and this Spring thinking my weight had stabilized. Wrong, and now with new bc body I have buy new again. My local Clothes Closet is liking all my donations!! :( I'm not liking having to spend the money all over again.
