Woke up to Princess curled up beside me this morning. Hubby had already taken Jackson down with him.

Oh man - Dozer does that ALL the time - I have fallen a couple of times - he just loves to be underfoot.

Same with mine GMA. Since Baylee passed, Jax wants to be in the house with Murphy. Now I have two under foot.

Well Ladies - My DH and I did it..... We gave Dozer his 1st bath since we got him.. I coaxed him into the bathroom with a snack and shut the door behind him.. He gave me that look - you know the one - "Please mommy you aren't gonna do this are you?" DH wrestled with him and got him into our claw-foot tub. Once he was in he kinda gave up and gave me that same look again. I just kept hugging him saying he was a good boy and we all survived. DH lifted him out and he kept running circles around me while I was trying to dry him and shake, shake shake he went. Unfortunately, DH decided to let him out back - he ran - right through the dirt. I had to clean off his feet before he could come back in LOL - The total experience wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Here are before - during and after pictures for you.

Slow - he seems like a big mean watchdog but he is really a big baby... Whines and wants to be a lap dog LOL. But people are cautious once he starts barking with this deep bark..

Good morning all you wonderful dog lovers. I have a question and I'm hoping some of you may have some good advice. My dog Murphy is chewing through all of his toys. They last about a day, or two days tops. I've tried every kind of toy, and so far haven't found one he can't chew up. Do any of you have any suggestions??? I've never had a dog chew through toys so quickly.

Dozer does the same thing . Two toys he chews but are still useable - there is a dog version of a nerf (rubber) football - The old version I found at a marshalls and this monkey ball tug rope - It takes him about 4 months to actually get the squeek out of it - I also have a real marrow bone (White - large) and I throw peanut butter in the middle of it - Keeps him busy for hours.

my bigger dogs always ate their toys. Came out in poop. I think they thought it was a food group. Sorry I gave no advice:(

Have you tried Kongs - those things that kind of look like the Michelin man? They have a regular version and a Kong Extreme that's supposed to be for heavy duty chewers. The added bonus is that you can stuff peanut butter in the middle of it - as Gma says, it will keep them busy for hours. When I worked at the animal shelter the Kongs were the go-to chew toy for the pitties and other strong chewers. You may also try calling your local humane shelter and ask what chew toys they give the pitties - you can figure whatever they use is field tested to be tough enough for your chewer..

Kris can destroy a hard plastic toy in less than 30 seconds. Stuff toys, looks like it snowed inside.

I have the best luck with latex squeaky toys. They get slippery when wet, harder to chew up.

    KONGS !!

Edit to add: I also do the hollow marrow bone with peanut butter on the inside.

Thanks ladies! I will try some of the things you mentioned. I tried the Kong toys - they seemed pretty durable. Just takes him a couple of days to destroy those. He's a tough one. My dog toy budget has gone through the roof.

One place to find inexpensive dog toys (and other pet stuff) online is: www.petedge.com They are geared towards folks working in the grooming, pet care, etc fields,,, but you do not have to be in that line of work to order from them. Their shipping is a bit pricey, but if you order over a certain amount, I think it is free. (have not ordered from them in a while, as my current dog doesn't play with toys at all).. My last pit bull used to go thru toys like water,, and you can get really cheap stuffed toys here so you don't care if he rips it up in 10 mins cuz you only paid 99 cents for it. I used to really stock up for the best shipping prices and have a big supply of toys in the closet for him. Just a suggestion for a place to look for toys and stuff.
