danced almost all the songs.......almost 2 1/2 hours worth. FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!

What a great concert. I'm telling you these guys are aged from 67 to 75......and can rock like no body's business. Still sound strong, just like 40 years ago. A true joy to experience. heh heh so much fun to throw off the mundane and have a blast!

Only down side was I started with the sicky flu thing going around but I just powered through and ignored it. Also I have had a nasty flare of rosacea so I couldn't wear any thing but eye make-up (it makes your skin look very blotchy and red and dry and wrinkled) :P......AND you can't make 59 look 29...lol.  Oh well, I just let it go and had a really great time with Nate.

Alexandrea  I read the article you posted on FB. Very good. From the heart. Completely identify with the young woman and everything you ladies said. I wouldn't wish this whole process we have gone through on anyone, but it is rather comforting to know I am not alone with recovery. It is a bit of a surprise for me to still be in a funk. I usually am able to power through adversity...get on with it so to speak. Not this time. I am used to being the "rock" for everyone else. But I can't seem to be my own "rock" . My hubby is great and not pushing me to "get better". But I am tired, just plain tired.  Ah , the challenge....get up off my butt and get moving....I'll do it....just need to have some inspiration. Can only come from within... Or more concerts ;)

    I will post a pic....a bad pic...but oh well......it is me.

    love you all

Thanks, Mary. It has been an adventure getting familiar with the curly and darker hair. So funny that my eye brows didn't change color and look so much lighter now.

Beverly, hope your FG went well and you are recovering easily.

After I posted I thought of Eve...I am wearing an old Rolling Stones sweatshirt. Channelling my inner '70s, lol!

lol.....not a fan of the herb. but smoking it did help Rob live longer...he smoked it not me...;0 His neuro -oncologist said thc retards the growth of blood vessels to the tumor.

Mary...I do plan on rock'in and rolling as long as I am able. Actually throwing my head around a little....ok a lot...got rid of the pain in my neck...better than a chiropractor.

Diane..how ya doing lady? That sweater I had on is soooo pretty. The body of it has a sheen to it and it is trimmed in lace and a curly fringe. Looooove it. Unfortunately it attracts my WHITE dogs hair. I have pulled 12inch long tail hair out of it. Nate had to roll me with the lint roller before we left....seems he was having waaaaay too much fun with that.

Beverly how are you doing? Hope all is well.

The world is one crazy place right now...sigh.....prayers for peace and common sense...please!!!!!!

So glad I have this place to come to for hugs.

    (((((hugs))))) to all

    Eve,
I'm doing ok. I'm still sore on my breast , part of which has nothing or little to do w the FG. I have some scar tissue on the crease of my under arm that's sore and for whatever reason it feels like someone is pinching my nipple- problem is I don't have nipples! Lol my belly is still sore from FG. I've been laying around all week. It's been nice to just clear my head too. Gonna see how I do this weekend and make a decision if I'm going back to work on Monday. I was hoping to see my ps before going back but my appts not until april 7. This week we go to school mon- Thursday and then have fri and the following week off. April 7 I go to my ps for follow up and April 9 I go to the endocrinologist to discuss my osteopenia of the spine.

Nate finally received his raise..woot woot....its a big one......I am so proud of him.  So we are in the process of getting pre-approved for a house loan and I am prepping our house to sell. been here done this more than once....hate it...but here we go!

    Eve,

WOW, love the Jasmine! I won't post a pic of my backyard. It's snowing!!! I've said it before and I'll say it again - I hate MN!

Congrats to Nathan and you - how exciting to be movin' on up! :) That's awesome. I hope you find your dream home. You both so deserve it!

Snowing! wow.....I had forgotten, while experiencing my first year living in Iowa.....I planted my huge vegie garden in early May. I am pretty sure my neighbors were laughing at me. There was a deep freeze even in May that killed everything. lol. So had to redo the whole thing a few weeks later.  I hung clothes out to dry only to wake up the next morning to find them frozen solid. Oh well what can you expect from a girl raised on St Thomas.

It is 87 here today...way too hot for me.  Our "dream home" will likely be a fixer upper on 2+ acres or a new mobile home on acreage.  I want a couple of Alpacas to breed, a huge garden and chickens, my dog needs a place to run and chase something...anything...she is part Australian Shepard and Border Collie....so loves to herd animals...I think our cat is getting tired of being pushed around.

Anyhow our dream is to live at the base of the Smokey Mountains. Cooler weather and 4 seasons.....ahhhhhhhh.

Hope all is well with you.

    love,E

Actually....the snow has melted and the shine is shining! Maybe you heard our famous motto - "If you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes." So true!

The search for your dream home will be fun. I look forward to hearing about it.

Talking about dreams.....the person I interviewed with for my dream job called me this morning and left a message to call back. I was so excited!! I started practicing what I was going to say and how to accept the job. Turns out she just called to let me know that they decided to hire someone else! Can you imagine? I would have much preferred that she had just sent a letter. First rejection call I've ever gotten. I'm soooo bummed! Sad

Oh well. Tomorrow is another day.

I am so sorry Mary. What is your dream job?

I have pretty much always worked retail.  For many years I worked as my former husbands electricians helper. LOVED that! We had a ball together and built a very successful business. I am proud that I can wire a house from blueprints..heh heh. I do all of the fixing of appliances and painting and carpentry around here.....fun stuff. Plus make mini bears, paint paintings, make bird houses and bird baths...not to toot my own horn...NOW if I could figure out how to make a living at it.

At this point I would really like to have a car again and shuttle cancer patients to and fro for their appointments. It is very difficult for me to get where I need to go. I have plenty of people to help me but I just don't want to ask anymore.

Yes, tomorrow is another day.....thank goodness we have tomorrow.

    love you,

    E

Believe it or not I've always wanted to work in a library. It's not just the books - it's all the technology that goes along with that field nowadays. In the past I've worked as a hairstylist. I had my own salon and a loyal following of clients who were more like my friends than customers. Then my DH got his dream job and we moved to different cities several times. I've never been able to find my niche again. Worked mostly administrative assistant type jobs after that.

The interviewer said it was a difficult decision, blah blah blah and encouraged me to apply for other openings at the main library, so I guess that's a positive. I won't give up.

Love that you know how to do all the Handy Andy stuff. That is VERY impressive!! I can paint...that's about it!

hi ladies. So I had my fG april 23. I saw my pa and she said all looks good. I told her in the hospital prior to my surgery when the ps came in to mark me up she looked at me and said she thought the implant flipped. I asked the pa if t looks Ike it did and what would we need to do to fix it. She asked if she did any imaging. I said no. She said then I don't know why she would ask that. But if it were flipped, we would have to take it out. I was like wth?! She asked if it's bothering me. I said the pain I get is from the crease near my armpit. She said if it's not really bothering you we will leave it alone. I go back in January for follow up. Have any of you had an implant flip? How did they determine I it gad flipped? When they take an implants out do your start all over? Fills etc

Hi Ladies.  Finally feeling like sitting up for more than a few minutes. ;)

Mary - I'm sorry that things didn't work out with the job.  It must mean that something else is out there for you.  I feel certain that good things will be coming your way.  You certainly deserve it. :)

Eve - the garden is beautiful.  I was imagining how wonderful the jasmine must smell.  Thank you for sharing.  I'm so happy for you and Nate.  I just know that you will find the perfect place.  Happy hunting!

Beverly - Having the PS say your implant looked like it flipped would be disconcerting.  I would follow up with the doctor and ask.  I can tell you, since they removed both my implants for this surgery, and simply put in new ones, that it is just an exchange, even if they do pocket work, like they did with mine.  This is all very confusing to me, but maybe I just read your post wrong or am still loopy.  Why on earth do you have to rely on the PA (physician's assistant?) and not ask the PS (plastic surgeon?) who made the comment?  I would think that after making a statement like that, he would be available for an appointment to discuss things with you.  Maybe his response would be the same, but it's worth asking the question from an actual physician.  It just sounds a off to me.  I hope you get some answers, but most importantly...how do they look now that you have had the FG?

Love to all.  I read all the posts, but am getting tired. :)

    Diane.

Diane, Glad to hear you're doing better. Rest up and pamper yourself. Take your time healing and don't let anyone rush you.

Beverly, I thought the same thing about what your PA said. Why did they go ahead with the FG if there was a question about it being flipped or rotated? If she was concerned why didn't she alert your PS? Do you have anatomicals?

    Mary,

The first time it was mentioned to me was at the hospital while I was wIting for my fG. My ps is the one who mentioned it. I saw the pa at my follow up on April 7 and mentioned it to her. she questioned if the ps imaged it. I said no she just blurted out it looks like it flipped. I have allergen 20 rounds 750cc.

Beverly - That must have been kind of stressful. I think I would have wigged out. How does it look to you? I don't think rounds can flip, so not sure what she would mean by that. Anyway....Hope all's well.

Just did some research on "breast implant flipping" apparently it does happen. The implant can be manipulated to make it flip back. It seems to be a simple surgery to get it back into place.

    Beverly...does your breast look different?

    Just asking.

I hope you can get this straightened out...what a pain.

    Take care girl.

How's teaching going? did yu get the brats into line?

    hang in there

How ya doing Diane? Hope all is well and you are healing and happy with the results.

    love to all
