What a wonderful thread. I love looking at these beautiful pictures and can feel my body doing the "out goes the bad air" breath. Here's my girl...my comfort dog, work out buddy and spiritual advisor.

4paws, she looks like a very wise girl. Grew up with dogs and would love to talk to them when things seemed out of whack. They knew exactly when to cock their heads in that, "I know exactly what you're saying" kind of way. That would always send me back on the right track.

This was one of the most peaceful moments in my life. Feeding a baby Bengal tiger with my granddaughter. This was the year before I found my BC.

So sweet!

I've held a baby tiger, but not fed it...they're not soft are they!! I was surprised at how coarse their fur was.

I just now stumbled onto this thread and loved all these photographs. Ruth, how is it that you get the photos you post to actually be 'snowing'. They are mesmerizing, like watching a campfire.

Clear skies so no snow falling...

I love seeing the snow fall! We don't get much snow here in Seattle, usually.

I didn't take this but I like it. Unfortunately fog clouded the New Year's fireworks!

I don't know how I made it snow....I was fiddling around on Picasa & all of the sudden it was snowing!!!

I was always taking photos until this little hiccup in my life happened. So GmaF, thanks for starting this thread. Because of you, I took my camera on our hike today. It was a balmy 26 degrees and just beautiful. Here's my girl waiting patiently for me to catch up.
RhodyMMM, this is an east coast pic too, not far from you.

OK, I give. I'm trying to post a photo here from Flickr, but I'm unsuccessful. I am a computer failure. Any hints?

Marple, thanks! The avatar pic is my sweet 13-year old Lab Rhode, put too sleep in October. Haven"t changed picture yet Part of this terrible journey. I put her down and ended up in the hospital the next day with neutropenia. Miss her so much!
4paws, where are you? My picture was taken in RI but we live near Pittsburgh, PA.

kathindc, you are right. It blows me away how intuitive animals are.
Hbcheryl, thank you. She is gorgeous inside and out.
Marple - wet, muddy or rolling in something good = one happy dog!
Rhody, this is one of my favorites. Taken more than 5 years ago just before we had to put our old Lab to sleep. I understand why you haven't changed your avatar. I live in RI.
