Thank you ladies. The thing now is that I know TOO much which five years ago I was clueless. I saw my surgeon today and he was NO help at all. He said I wish you would have called me as he would have preferred seeing me after the biopsy. The staff at this clinic told me to keep the apt with him. He would not give out one piece of info except after my questions he said he would not do a lumpectomy again and radiation is out since I have already had it. I pretty much knew those things anyway. I am to call him on Wed and he will have the results of the biopsy. This has been a loooooooooooooooong process since my mammogram was last Monday. I won't be able to go out with my camera this weekend which I would have liked because of the restrictions post biopsy. No swimming all next week too. Sigh. Knowing 90% of these things are benign is something. I will deal with whatever it takes.

bandwoman1234 Thanks for keeping us updated. We're all waiting right with you on the biopsy result. You are strong, and will get through whatever's next, and it might be nothing. I like the 90% benign statistic. My treatment and a foot surgery last year kept me out of the pool for a long time, and the water is my happy place. I can empathize with your frustration on that restriction. Sending you support and warm wishes.

Thanks Hiking. My surgeon said I know this is frustrating. I said that is not the word I would use! As far as the not being able to swim, yes that is frustrating but I hope I am in that 90%...........then I will be happy dancing for the remainder of next week!!!

Nancy, I'm sorry that your surgeon was no help at all and also that you won't be able to swim next week. If your results are good, we will do the happy dance with you!!

Thanks Lisa. It really does help to have a community who has been there and totally gets it. I find my friends and family really don't get it and I guess that is natural. How can one understand a world they have never lived. I think there is a perception that if your cancer was caught early then it is no biggy. They assume that you will naturally have a positive outcome and wouldn't that be nice if that were true.

Nancy, I'm sorry that your friends and family don't really get it. I don't have breast cancer myself but my twin sister does so I have been immersed in that world too. I think the important thing is to want to know how a person really feels rather than assume they will feel a certain way and not to even wonder. I always want to say that I hope for good things, but I agree with Lisa that we're here for you whatever your results say. Sending hugs.

Cathy that was a brave move to have the double mastectomy but I understand why you did. I am sorry your twin has it but hopefully you will NEVER get it.
Thanks Magic for the pretty desert photo. I long to photograph some of the Red Rock but I am not sure if I will ever get that opportunity but I love seeing pictures from out West I am assuming.
I just graduated from PT this evening so one less pressure to deal with. Of course the home exercises need to continue. It has helped my dizziness and balance so it was worth all the work both at PT and at home.
Now my computer is acting up. I will have to wait to deal with that later. My whole system was down today. My virus software is not working so I tried another thing that takes out malware and it removed some but my virus software is still not working.
So if you don't hear from me for a while know that it is probably my computer and not something happening with me.

Well friends, I survived the biopsy ordeal today. It was a much longer stay that I expected because they were having so much trouble identifying the area of concern on the ultrasound. Finally the radiologist who was a gem decided she would rather do a stereotactic biopsy guided my a mammogram so that sure shook things up for everyone who works in that area. So it was quite a long time in the waiting room but I am hopefully done and won't know results until Wed. I had my initial mammogram on March 18 so this has been a very long wait for sure. I had another apt out of town later today and my allergy nurse said what are you doing here! I am exhausted from this month but got through the day very well. I'll keep you posted. Keep those pics coming.

PS In the hallway in the breast area that had this huge pic of a Monarch butterfly. I would love to do some photography for cancer clinics but don't know how one goes about that. I asked before who did the photographs and of course no one seems to know. In the entry way they have these huge pics of orchids too. I used to be on the patient advisory council for this huge doctor network I am in and I knew the CFO pretty well who ran the meetings. I had plans of asking him how one gets their artwork in the new facilities but he left suddenly so I never got the chance. No more council either.

Nancy, Well done for surviving the biopsy ordeal but I'm sorry it took so long and you had another appointment afterwards. I pray you have peace as you wait for your results and they are good.

I look at those ships and think how much I would not want to be on one in a storm. I don/'t know if they were brave or just didn't have a choice.
