Nancy, I am so sorry you are having such a rough time. I hope things improve soon and you can get to take more photos. It's horrible feeling dizzy. I have had some dizzy spells so may try your instructions Lisa. It looks weird but whatever helps.

I was upset this morning as I took my pictures to the gallery and waited for the woman who runs it to turn up.The lady on reception loved them so I gave her a small print of one that I had spare. When she turned up she said a couple were a bit small. They were 8.5 by 11 and she specified minimum of 8 by 10. Then she said they had to be on wires due to the hanging system they have. Mine all had integrated hanging thingys on the back She did not even comment on them or offer to try to see if they would hang which I think they would have, just said those were the rules so I just said " Oh well, I'm done", took them all and walked out without looking back. I will find another club. It should be fun and there is one that sounds more upbeat that is a long way but is on my way home from work Guess I am on a short fuse. It was very disappointing as I have had very positive feedback on my egret pic.Don't want to sound arrogant but I think it was one of the most popular at the one day exhibition when she was not around (they had displayed it on a stand). I walked into the exhibition twice to find little groups of people around it saying how nice it was, This has been the one thing that has given me real pleasure lately too. Got back home today and DH has not even asked me how it went yet so I have gone to bed.

Thanks Lisa. I know with BPV you can do some tricks like that. Mine hasn't really been diagnosed. Just some things eliminated. I had two really bad spells of dizziness that went on for months after two different surgeries involving the head and neck. I had to have dizziness therapy and learned more than I ever cared to about all of that. Of course I don't remember much of any of it now! I tried to copy and paste this and it didn't work. I will try it though. Thank you. I had a gas leak that was discovered the day after Easter by a routine check. I started getting really sick six days after that. None of my doctors think my symptoms at this point have anything to do with it but none have been willing to do the simple blood test to check on carbon monoxide because they are so sure it is not relevant. So hopefully it will disappear. Got it to print. Going to try the exercises now.

    Lizzysmom,

That is all you needed when you went to the trouble of getting your pictures framed. I am sure the lady doesn't realize all the stuff you have been going through. That is a shame. I'm sorry it didn't work out. Maybe this other club might be a better fit for you in the long run. I sure hope so. I loved your egret picture and I can see how that would be very popular. Hang in there. You will get better.

Nancy, that is annoying that they won't do the test to rule it out as some of the carbon monoxide has a longer half life apparently and can take a while to get out of the system and you don't know how long you were exposed if the gas leak had been there for a while. Its insidious. I do hope it clears up soon.

Thank you!! I told DH and as is his way said %$&! them. He suggested I take some to the library or local coffee shop as I have all these framed pics and nowhere to put them now. Feel better anyway after his rant. Normally he doesn't comment on my photography but he saw me getting everything ready yesterday. Anyway I should not complain. I had my 1 year mammo and check up with my surgeon on17th and it was all clear so she does not need to see me next time! Its interesting that they do routine mammos on the 2nd floor and patients on the 4th (diagnostic) so I guess its more thorough. I actually met one of the ladies from here in person so we were chatting while we were waiting to see the surgeon!

    Lizzysmom,

I guess dealing with disappointing situations and unrealized expectations is a bummer for both of us but we move forward. I am glad your DH was supportive. Maybe you could sell your framed photos. Maybe you can use them for your next photo club. Things happen for a reason and hopefully there will be some good things that will come out of this. I hope so. You need some positive things in your life.

Lisa, I tried your exercises and I have felt pretty good today. Thanks for sharing those.  I am planning on leaving tomorrow for three weeks for my moms.
Hopefully good health will follow. Hoping there will be some nice spring photo opps too. Our spring has just really blossomed out. The spring downstate is usually ahead of us so I hope there are still spring flowers left.

I'll be checking in when I can.

Nancy, I hope the weather is good while you are at your moms. With all the snow this winter spring seems to have been delayed here so hopefully you should find plenty of spring flowers still. Yes we roll with the punches and have to keep looking forward. Things do often seem to happen for a reason. I sent a photo to the gentleman who is organizing the night workshop and the next morning I thought, what was I thinking!! It really was horrible but he was very kind in his comments so I think they will be very nice up there.

Lizzy ironically I was bending over the bed putting mattes to photos for a local garden club show when my foot was caught in.the electric blanket cord. I.turned and flew into the door frame and fractured my humerus into 3 pieces. Here I still sit in my brace after 8 weeks and 4 to go at least. I have a few choice 4 letter words for the whole thing.

Lizzysmom, I forgot to say congratulations on your year check up. I got a clear scans in March too. You sound like I have become. The more I learn about photography the more I am so critical of my own photos. Some days I love some of them and then next I don't. I guess that is probably normal. I am sure your picture was just fine.

Lisa, my goodness. I am so sorry to hear about your accident. What a bummer. That is a long time to be in a brace. How can you type? Can you still take pictures? It sounds like we have all had our fair share of challenges lately. Hopefully with the dawn of spring things will look up for all of us. I did those dizziness exercises today. I have not felt dizzy. Could it be the answer. I won't question and just be grateful.

I will be leaving for my mom's tomorrow. The weather looks like rain almost every day this week so we'll see. She is so excited that I am finally going to make it there. Hopefully no back or leg pain or dizziness as I drive. Take care.

    Nancy

Love the flowers. We had such a cold and long winter everything is blooming quite later than normal. When I left for my moms the new growth was just beginning to appear on my rose bushes. They will have a long way to go before blooms. How's your arm? How many more weeks before you can be free of the cast or splint?

at least another month with the brace. It is strapped across my chest and very uncomfortable. I'm hoping it heals properly. Thanks for asking.

Lisa, I am sorry that you have had to deal with this for so long. Sounds very uncomfortable. I am amazed at how you have had a steady hand to shoot some pictures with one hand. That takes some talent. I don't know if I could do that.

Oh lord did not realize that it would take that long to heal. Pls be careful. The brace must be driving you nuts. 😢I have never actually broken a bone before. Hope it heals up and does not cause further discomfort.

Mum, I think it is taking so such a long time is that it is the second longest bone, and the fact that it was broken in two places...

Just got back from a month long road trip.  Started in Washington, then Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Nebraska, South Dakota, back to Wyoming, Montana, Idaho again and back to Washington.  this picture was at the start of the trip going over Snoqualmie Pass in Washington.
