Lisa, your bird pics are amazing! I love your garden, too.

Bandwoman, I am sitting here in a heatwave, 37c today, looking at your beautiful icy cold pictures!

Thanks ladies. Lisa you would love these workshops I am doing. They are very long sessions from 7-10pm. Tuesday night we went for three hours and forty minutes. I am learning so many things and hopefully filling in all of those gaps in my learning. This pro is a nature landscape photographer. We haven't covered birds but I have only had three sessions out of thirteen. Each workshop covers a different subject and some are four sessions or two or one. The teacher used to be a professional comedian so he can be quite entertaining. I love your birds pics too. I think you could give your own workshops.

Ariom, I must confess that I am not very good with the centigrade conversion but I am assuming it is HOT! It has been so terribly cold here but today we had a little warm up but back into the deep freeze tonight. I am so ready for spring. We haven't had all the snow that the East coast has gotten but I just heard from my sister who is downstate that they got 10 inches of snow and we hardly had any.

Hope you ladies are doing well.

Ariom, I guess your term is Celsius. I just looked it up because as soon as I typed centigrade I thought that isn't right. I see it is the old fashioned term for Celsius. I guess I am dating myself!

What lovely, visitors you have in your garden. I can't get a good picture, because the birds in my garden take off as soon as I walk out of the house, but my garden is full of beautiful, big, noisy, brash, colorful birds, gorging themselves on the fruit trees, throwing apples to the ground, half eaten and apple and pear peel, like snow on the ground, because they peel the fruit, before they eat it. I have pears stripped to the core, still hanging in the tree and partially eaten figs, still attached to the limbs of the tree. Ahhh Summer!

basically I leave my window or door open and take the pictures from inside.

Here's what some talented high schools students do in our town to help us all get through winter. They have done these sculptures for a few years now.

Bandwoman that is fantastic! I just showed your pics to a friend who is staying here from Canada, he's not missing the cold weather! LOL

I took your advice Lisa, these were taken from my window this morning. The pic at the bottom is to show what they do to the pears. They hang upside down and eat them all the way around the core, I am not sure this is right, but I was told it is because the seeds are toxic to them.

Ariom, I can only imagine that your friend from Canada is loving your hot weather! Great pics. I would love to have those birds come to my backyard anytime. They are so pretty! I have to take my backyard bird shots through the patio glass.

Bandwoman, our guest left today, with many pics of the birds in the Fig tree and even some of Koalas in the trees on the Island! He kept telling us that this place, is the best kept secret! Fortunately, it didn't get into the 40'sC while he was here, so he did manage to get around and enjoy the place.
