gumdoctor, your hydrangea is gorgeous!! I love this colour and the whole plant! I had it for my wedding, so there really is a special attachment. Yours is really a blessing to stay so beautifull and long living

Been pretty down lately. Tried to boost my spirits in the garden. Moved some pots on the front porch - trimmed and reprepped them. (left to right) - Celery and leeks, rosemary, ?, thyme. Wondering what to add to the third pot. My granddaughter told me to transplant her live basil plant in it.

We keep getting door to door solicitors who want to kill our ants and spiders. I haven't seen any ants, and spiders are beneficial as long as they're outside. We try to keep our yard pesticide free.

Gorgeous lilies. I don't have them because they're poisonous to cats.

Teka, there is quite a lot of milkweed there. I like that we are supporting the butterflies.

The squirrels or chipmunks dig up every asiatic lily at my house so they must not be poisonous to them! Those are beautiful. Ladies I had to laugh about this yucca among the wildflowers at the forest preserve. You wouldn’t expect to see one here in northern Illinois, but then anyone who has had a yucca knows how hardy they are. We had one for 8 or so years that never bloomed. DH dug it up, or so he thought but four came back where one was, and then they finally bloomed. I guess we have had enough heat to get this one to bloom.

I moved this from one flower bed to another but I'm not sure if it's a weed or not... do you know what it is? should I leave it or remove it? thank you!

By definition, a weed is an unwanted plant. If you like it enough to transplant it, it is not a weed.

It's pretty enough to keep. The leaves look like they could belong to a bulb. It would be worth showing a photo to a garden person to get an ID.

April,I think it could be Bachrlor Button. My mom used to have them. I love it.

Does anyone know what this green and white plant is that is now blooming little fuschia blooms(at the bottom)? I bought one of those pot fillers at Lowe’s or Walmart and it had 5 plants but didn’t list them. I thought it was so pretty with a spider plant and various green and white foliage plants and the yellow begonia. I’m really loving it with the surprise blooms on it.

TwoHobbies, I'm not sure, but that pretty plant with the fuschia flower might be a variegated baby rose plant.

Yes it’s a succulent. Super52, I think you may be correct. It sure looks like that. I will be bringing it infor winter and hoping I can keep it alive in my south bay window.

Teka, do the green beans do well in containers? Your flowers are beautiful. I love those speckled petunias. I saw them at the garden center this year.

Always have to watch where you plant things here. So far so good. I got a few wire baskets and turned them upside down over the plants that the deer like.
