so.... Just had my dumbass survivorship meeting. I think I taught her more than she taught me. Went on a total rant about the the Look Good Feel Better program that our hospital partnerswith the ACS.

75% of the products given to me that day had known carcinogens in them. I threw them out. Pinktober makes me sick. Pink washing makes me sick.

In other news, turns out my MO does do tumor markers. Glad I didn't know before. They were ok, as well as the rest of my labs. Looking around suspiciously for the next target for my CRAZY 👀🎪🎪

Katy I f'ing HATE so HARD the pink and I ALWAYS have. It's not new to my current situation.

And you may wonder why I have the luxury of posting while the mothership is here. Let's set the scene:

Mother arrives at 4 pm ( she was to arrive around 1pm). Ok that's par for the course.

Arrives in her vehicle/general store. We truck right back out to get some more food supplies.

Land back at 5pm. Unpack. ( Joan Armatrading- Gold in the background) She is now busy helping me deep clean in the kitchen, on her hands and knees and just said ( and you can not make this up)

" I'm glad we didn't get pedicures today, I would much rather be doing this" YUP

Katy OH YES SHE DID and I should edit to say-

I am directing her with a nice glass of wine in hand ( don't worry she has one too) and regarding the pedicures- we never were really pedicure girls. She gets them more frequently than me. I had just 'suggested' that maybe we we could get them as a change of course. But here we are.

haha- I was never much of a pedicure girl either and to my knowledge my mom NEVER had one.

Thinking on it, my toenails are the most medically naive part of my body. Maybe the ONLY part. Teehee

I've been sprung from solitary in the asylum anyway....the surgeon said he was 95% sure it wasn't cancer and if it was still there in a month he'd take it out. He didn't want to do surgery while I was doing radiation. So back to the suburbs of crazy town I go....

Geez Jen- I wish I was there to hold your hand (with the Ativan and Middleton's in the other).

This sux the big weenie! The only thing that's going to change in a month is your stomach lining, because that.is.not.c. Have you had a PT work on your scar tissue? That might help you feel a bit proactive while you are chewing away at aforementioned stomach lining. I am feeling you big time on this one.

Lucy, Your grandson is beautiful. That dark curly hair and those light eyes - wow!! I'm sure he will be breaking some hearts in the years to come.

sunshine, Where do your grands live???

eggroll, I bookmarked your blog and will read it tonight when it's quiet. Thanks for sharing the link!!

Katy, Don't get me started on the pink. Each year I seem to get more angry about the whole pink machine. So happy to hear your tests were within range!! I think I will join you in that glass of wine and drink to my mom as well!! Love the pictures of your parents!! Fundraiser at the Del....very FANCY!!

I can't do without my pedicures. Not because I love them so much, I just can't reach my toes!! haha....Ok....scratch thatt....I guess I do like them.

littleblueflowers!! My surgeon said the same thing about the second lump I found. They never did a biopsy - just an US. I was good with that and proceeded to rads. I hope you're able to find a bit of peace with that conclusion. If it keeps you awake at night, I would let them know. I know if I pushed my surgeon, she would have done another biopsy. In the end, I trusted her judgment.

Good grief. Chile had an 8.3 earthquake. How terrifying that must have been.

Beppy- I actually had my high school prom at the Hotel Del many years after that photo was taken.

And yes. I lived in Peru, just north of Chile, prominently on the Ring of Fire. Not only is the size of that earthquake scary, but building codes are so poor there it is many times more dangerous than one of equivalent size here. Not to mention the generally higher concentrations of people. I am directing my thoughts towardsthose poor people tonight, now also on tsunami watch.

I'm in the center of Crazy Town, driving around and around the Round-a-bout. US tomorrow to find out what is going on with my thyroid nodules. Clear sign that I'm stressed: I ate 2 pieces of chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, peanut butter crème between the layers and chocolate and peanut butter chips on top. I licked the plate, too.

    littleblue,

So glad to hear that... Glad you're able to move to the suburbs of CrazyTown for a while. That's a relief.

    Gaia,

Sounds like you have a great mom. Lucky to have that support. My mom was a mani pedi girl and I've never had either... Though I'm now considering it. Hope you guys get to spend some great fun time together.

    Lucy,

Very cute little grand guy you've got there.

    Slow, Jack,

We're ramping up for Pinktober... I hate the Pink, never liked it even before bc. Those pics of your mom and dad are amazing from sporty to glamorous!

As to the dog killer they know who he is and they're looking for him.. I keep trying to post the link but somehow it won't take.

    Anyway,

Hope everyone is doing well , I'm still recovering from the dental work . I have a situation that every time I have dental stuff done I develope mouth sores and so that's what I'm dealing with. I have a prescription from the dentist but it still takes a while to heal.

I'll post the Salmon chowder recipe tomorrow meanwhile sweet and sour eggplant with tamarind, jaggery,

and cilantro. Meanwhile here's the shelter link .http://laist.com/2015/09/16/shelter_break_in_suspe.........

    And the eggplant

Good Morning or almost afternoon...........................a tad tired right now........up at 7am........here's my story, true, and I'm st;ickin to it.

My grandson came last night, Phil (looking great) with my daughter, (his mentor), pizza in hand along with a big hug and kiss...................sooooooo

He is a "cleaner upper all the time".........he sees my trash bag in the can, and says "Nan, I am going to put this out for you".....I said "no Phil, I will do it tomorrow, don't want the animals to get it....................so why you say.....

Well in this town they do trash 2 times a week 'in the summer, and 1 time a week once we hit September...............I usually put just the bag out early in the morning (summer)...........in the (cooler weather) I use the can because its a whole weeks trash............

Well Phil decides he is going to do what Phil wants, so the trash goes out into the can.............at 2am I hear a noise and think.....................ok, I am either being robbed...............or there is a critter in the driveway...................I look out the bedroom window (ranch home, 1 floor).........to see right beneath my BR window my can layingon its side, and the bag 1/2 way out..........................lid was locked.......but of course this little bastard is a lot smarter then I am so he is inside having a buffet late snack..................

I decide there i more then one way to "skin whatever the hell is in that can", so I raise the window, .........go to the closet........get a broom............and proceed to beat the shit out of the trash can while hanging out the window leaning into the driveway...............gonna scare the shit out of that little sucker...............................

This is war, and I plan on winning..............think again "oh great warrior"..............lights went on in several houses.......I quickly pulled my broom and head back in the window.............fearing the thought of the enclosure the police would take me to if someone called them, ........so I surrendered to the critter.......................

Nowthis morning at 7am....in my robe......I went outside and cleaned the driveway pissed off as hell.........drug the trash can to the curb, came back inside .....only to realize trash day is Friday...........today is Thursday.....and you get fined for putting trash cans out earlier.............................

Wen;t outside cursing the little bastard who ate my trash, and pulled the can back into the driveway.........................when my neighbor saw me and said...............HEY DID YOU HEAR ALL THAT RACKET AROUND 2AM THIS MORNING...........................

My answer.......NOPE MUST HAVE SLEPT RIGHT THROUGH IT...............LOL

So now I am headed to the $1.00 store to buy a gallon of Amonia............stop laughing they said if you spray your cans they won't go near them...................I'm on a mission.........................

So seriously................HOW IS YOUR DAY GOING........................LOL
