I don't remember my %'s but was ER+/PR- and HER2-. In less than a month, I will 'hit' 8 yrs post DX and still NED (as far as I can know today and no reason to think otherwise). I've never been concerned about being only Stage IIIc but being IBC. So far I've beat the 'odds' and intend on "keepin' on keepin' on".

It's SO inspiring to hear from so many Stage III'er's who have been NED for so long!!!

I'm only 1 yr & 3 months from dx, but it seems like a lifetime ago!!!

My Stats: 90% ER, 50% PR and high K-67 (31%).

I’ve just found this post and it’s given me a real lift. Thanks everyone who’s commented. Having just passed my first cancerversary, I find the toughest thing to deal with is my head. Trying not to think about it all the time and worrying about recurrence. Lots of inspiration here has helped. Thank

KSil ~ Wow you have been through the ringer....and I hope you are doing well. I have a question for you and any one else who would like to answer.

Did you get yearly mamo's before and after your DCIS Dx?? I am asking because I had DCIS in 2000 and was just diagnosed in 2018 with IDC.  I have gotten my yearlys, and was amazed they found a1mm mass in the same breast as before. But because I had 6 weeks rads and the mass is in a little bit different spot, they are not calling it recurrent.(??)

They have not suggested I have an MRI. I found that odd being I have had it before even tho it was DCIS they said it was a cancer but not really a cancer...??? ok whatever the heck that means.

So glad I found this board.
