Here is little bitty's "heart" on her toe. She was uncooperative getting her pic this morning.

Loved the tiny kitten. Felix is on my lap and thinks the Grand Cat looks like a calico. Similar marking to Miss Felix.

I think we would call her a tortoiseshell at the shelter. Torties have the colors run together and calicos have distinct spots and a lot of white. Torties are known for "tortitude" and want their own way. Grandcat is beautiful.

Wren44, I didn't know that. Interesting.

Mommy - I love that picture! I think that's what Snickers would like to do to Chloe. She's gotten better and hasn't been bullying Chloe the past few days but yesteray she did take a swipe at Chloe "just because."
Wren - I had no idea that's how you tell the difference between torti and calico!

Torties do not have any white. If there's any white, it's called a calico.

Shycat, You are right. I thought a little bit of white was ok on a tortie, but I stand corrected. In that case I've had 2 calico cats, one of which I thought was a tortie. In any case, she was my heart kitty and I miss her 10 years later.

Anyone else finding their cats are watching more TV than usual during the Lockdown?

Alannah watching TV, how cute. Our dear Ivy used to watch programs with animals & loved to "chase" them on screen, particularly birds.
Got a good laugh out of the "cat arm" sign. Cats do the darnedest things!

CeliaC thank goodness someone put up a sign !

CeliiaC. Felix likes looking in the refrigerator, but from the front. Good thing you put up a sign! Wow

Hi all. I was advised I should check out this Thread after I posted the post below on another Thread. -------
Do you guys ever think about what your pets think?? I have a cat. It is just me and him in our house. Today he was lying on the bed watching me. And I got to thinking about what he could be thinking. My cat's thoughts---- "Before mom (me) would get up early and rush around getting dressed in her uniform (when I worked I had a uniform I wore). Then she would leave and be gone all day-that was kind of lonely. Then suddenly she lost her fur (my hair loss with chemo). And she got skinny and pale. Then I noticed she looked different, she lost a body part (my boob). She doesn't wear that uniform anymore and she is home more (job loss). Then she would be gone for a few hours each day, not all day like before (volunteer activities after retirement). Now she is home ALL THE TIME and she wears her sweatpants everyday (COVID restrictions). Humans are weird." ----- I guess I am silly for thinking about this stuff.

I'll bet your cat has had those thoughts over time. I don't think they have attention spans long enough to think that all at once.
I wish I could read my cat's thoughts. He will come into the kitchen while I'm doing dishes and sit down. He's clearly waiting for me to 'do the right thing' but doesn't signal what that might be.

Wren44- Yes, I have read that cats have the brain capacity of a toddler. Yes, I think he thought those thoughts as we went along on this cancer journey--- the changes from working to not, my change in appearance over the months, etc.

We'd love to see a photo of your kitty if you'd like to post one.
