Are all calicos little?! Mine is a runt and petite1 yours looks small too. I purposely sought out a runt cat from the shelter.

This is my calico who is definitely not petite. Her name is Smudge, but we also refer to her as Pudge. She weighs in around 13 lbs and has that floppy belly. Never met a meal she did not like and when you have two other cats, their meals are fare game if not eaten promptly. Although I rescued her, my husband always thanks me for getting him a cat since she likes his lap. This is her on his desk under the halogen lamp having a spa day. LOL

I have a runt calico, 7 pounds, were told she was a kitten but after an undisclosed expensive mouth issue (which theshelter clearly hid from us), no vet believes she is young at all, she could be 10 or 5 or in between. And I requested multiple times for her health records with no return calls or emails from the shelter . Shady shelter, won't use anymore. My kids super annoying cat seems normal sized at 11 pounds, but my sweetie cat is over 20 pounds! We have every size 😂

My boys are long and tall so already look big. Then Eddie adores every meal ever--we're careful about their food but even so he weighs 16 pounds (which is down from 19) and his brother Wally is about 12 pounds.

What great pics of the calicos! That was my dear mothers favorite cat, so sassy. Our calico is teeny (thus the name Little Bitty) but with a huge personality.

Betrayal that is too funny, Smudge whose nickname is Pudge haha

My cats are losing weight -- because my son discovered the joy of the laser pointer and gives them a good daily workout! I'd say they are both about 10-11 lbs. Nadia is very food-oriented and always alerting me that it's meal time. But she runs around more so they are about the same weight. I had my hedges trimmed the last few days, so the cats had been on patrol from window to window, and they were pretty pooped in that shot!

Thank you friends for your cat fun & photos. Makes me smile. Always.

I have two girls that run the house. My husband says I spend more time in the litter box and make more noise in the litter box than the cats do.

My one old timer is almost 19. Tough and cranky. You know the type. Love her dearly. She has soft moments too.

She loves to be petted on the back of her neck while she is eating her dry food. Anyone else have a kitty that does this?

I am hosting my friend's dog for 2 more weeks (already here for 2). Cats are very over it.

We see quite a few cats at the shelter who want petting while they eat. I think it helps them know we won't poison them or something. We describe them as a social eater. I've never had one personally. Mine just chow down and are hearty eaters.

Some like you to stand behind them. I think they feel protected -- like *you* are on predator watch?

Good morning, Cat Women. It is raining and Miss Felix and Louie are napping. Louie is probably under the bed. He hates the rain. Felix likes to be petted for about one second before eating. She loves to eat. Louie loves treats over "real" cat food. He is long and thin. When he was a kitten his legs looked twice as long as Felix's. He was about 3' long and 2" wide. He filled out, but still has long legs.

My hefty cat in all his splendor. He sleeps like a rock and has no reflexes - a ball can roll and hit him and he won't evenmove. image

The girls have been watching me sweep and mop my kitchen floor. Princess just tried to take a running pounce on Grace, she skidded on the wet floor and slammed side first into the stove! She shook it off and glared at me who was watching the whole thing doubled over in laughter. It was like she was saying “It isn’t funny Mommy!”
