This is beautiful Nina Cat she died in August 2011 at the age of 18. She looks a bit grumpy in this photo but she was not. She was an utter sweetheart.

This was Tyler, my big boy. He is the one that lived so long. Hard to take a picture of an old picture.

I would love for my cats to live that long! When I was young and single and on my own is when I got my first cat - my family had never had a cat, so I knew nothing. I thought cats lived three years!! I don't know why I thought that, needless to say it seemed overwhelming to realize they usually go way over three years, but so happy they do!

I shall report kitty's weight after the vet Tuesday. He was right at 19 pounds three years ago and has grown much more since then, I will not be shocked if he's 25 pounds. He's almost seven years old I think. He's so happy though!

hefty cat is a mere 24.84 pounds. The vet wants him to be on only prescription wet food and his glucose was fine! Here's to a skinny kitty soon!

    LOL big chonker!

My manager enjoyed seeing the kittens playing on the cat tree behind me (we do video conferences) -- although she's a dog person, she was cracking up.

Who else's kitties like to forehead bump? Simone is the first one I've had who does that - I love it.

Oh yes, Wally head butts. He esp loves to head butt my chest which was horrible after a biopsy and after the lumpectomy.

We have had kitties at the shelter who will bump your hand if you stop petting. They're asking for more.

My cat Charlie would reach out his paw to "pet" you after you stopped petting him. No claws, just a gentle pat requesting more skritches as we call them.

Neither Louie or Felix head bump, but Louie likes to reach out and touch someone.

It was really funny how alarmed the kitty looked, sideways glancing....

There's a great one of a cat at night in the bedroom on the Nest that is hilarious but need to find a link

Good morning, cat lovers. Those of you with more than one cat, how do cats play? I have thought Felix was just mean to Louie, but I wonder if it is all play. She growls and bats at him, but as soon as she wakes up, she is looking for him. He will hide around a corner and jumps out at her. He also will stand on his hind legs like a squirrel (which is strange looking). I read sometimes they do that to look bigger. Are they playing or she just hates him?

Unless they're screaming at each other, I think they're playing. It's very clear when Wally is angry with the other cats, and the other three don't do that with each other. They do the play puff ball thing, or leaping at each other and rolling around like maniacs as they wrestle.

You know the cats are in a good place when they have their own chairs

DDs 2 aren’t playing. He knows she is afraid of him. He goes out of his way to find her, and beat up on her. She spends most of the time hiding. He goes in kitty jail, so she can eat, use litter box in peace. Or maybe have a nap with her boy. image

FF that's wonderful that they both have their own chairs! Love it!

Spookiesmom what a great picture. Love that she is reaching towards him just to get a little closer.

I love the 2 chairs. My cats each have a scratching pad and they sleep on them. They did want to fight over 1, so now they each have their own. Love the sleeping picture. So loving.

I have a cardboard scratching box that two of my cats sometimes use as a sleeping chamber. They each have a cat bed as well but sometimes prefer what I refer to as the "bed of nails" as the spot to nap. Go figure. LOL

Good morning, cat lovers. Miss Felix found a puddle on the porch after last night's storm. After getting soaking wet, the first place she goes is the cat pot. Now she has cat litter clumped all over her legs and paws. What a mess.

People here posted their cats reaction to the snow. The majority were dubious but a Norwegian Forrest cat looked absolutely delighted. It looked like a ball and I'll bet there was an ordinary sized cat in there.
