It has been an interesting evening. As J am getting ready to go to bed, I see my three younger seats surrounding the kitty condo. It appears the found a mouse. I would stay up and watch this adventure to see who wins. Sometimes the mice get away. Rocky is to cool for this type of adventure so he will lay back and watch from a far or guard the food bowls just in case. 😆 I will have some tired kitties tomorrow. I had an Aussie and a rat terrier that would team up on mice but they did not torcher the mice. The Aussie would round him up and the rat terrier would kill it. The first picture it is hard to see the three of them. The second picture is Zorro stalking the mouse

Even the cats don't like our weather.

I’ve always wondered if black cats feel the heat more.

Midnight Louie loves the heat, but he is a Florida cat.

Think my cats have found a way to keep cool in the heat. They’ve begun laying under our bed during the day.

Cats are adaptive creatures. My 2 boys Zorro and Rocky are just big lazy cats that spraw wherever they can find.

Hello, cat lovers. Just returned from Key West and saw a couple 6 toe Hemmingway cats.

Here is Midnight Louie. He has 5 toes. LOL

The girls are doing okay since we sold the house and moved across country and staying in a hotel until we get a place, think they will get back to normal once we get a rental place.

Midnight Louie would probably just stay under the bed, after meowing across the county.

Imagine finding this uninvited guest in the bathroom with you. She has a plush bed that she refuses to use, preferring this instead. She inhabits it during the day and especially at night so I have to warn people she may be there with them.

It is difficult to see but this is a scratch box located behind the powder room door. Misty is a little over 2 years old, weighs about 8.5 lb and has untamed long hair which she insists gets brushed daily. Her other sleep spot is the former garden window in the powder room which is now occupied by her towel and one large jade plant she permits.

Well the girls have decided today since we got a place to rent to stay in the closet in our bedroom today, they were very restless last night.

They will probably settle down after they feel this is my new place.

They’re starting to venture out more and explore the upstairs a little. I put a few toys up there for them.

My cats are quite relaxed tonight, at least the boys are. Not sure what the girls are up to and I am not sure I want to know.😆

On Monday my hospice dog suddenly went down hill. Within an a couple of hours it was obvious he wasn't going to make it. We made the decision to free him from any more pain and suffering and took him to the vet. One of his quirks, was he loved to lay on shoes. Almost every night before bed he would come over and lay on my shoes and sometimes my feet. Last night my cat Rockey climb out of his box where he likes to nap, came over, and laid down on my shoes and put his head on my feet. This is that cat that invited himself home with me 3 years ago. I will never understand how someone can turn a cat out that is this sensitive to people.

@brutersmom, I am so sorry about your hospice dog. It is hard being a responsible pet owner. They are part of the family. As I write my 17 year old rescue kitty is sitting on my desk letting me know that she is the queen of this household. In your pocket.

Brutersmom, condolences for your hospice pup. Know he was loved to the end. Rocky is an amazing cat. I’m happy he chose a family that appreciates him

Cats know. One of my cats came from a long term care facility and would provide comfort to hospice patients. She seemed to know when the end was near and stay with that patient until they passed. Her name was Muffin. I adopted her when there was a change in management. She was with me for about 8 years. She died in 2008.

My cats are always up to mischief when they are not sleeping. This is from a video of Zorro when he found an ice cube in the fountain water bowl. The video is to large to share.

I put a water bowl (Corelle soup bowl) in my bedroom for Leo since he spends most of his time there. I am never sure where I am going to find it since he drags it around the room. Love the above.

Betrayal if I used a corrected soup bowl with my crew, who knows where the bowls would be. Two of my cats play in the water and like to stick their paws in the bowl, click their paws and do it again. I have fountains now. They like that much better.
