It definitely makes sense. I have had so much time in between things that I feel like I get comfortable in life then I move on the the next thing. 2 months between diagnosis and surgery and then 7 weeks before starting radiation. But I have been monitored by doctors during that time. I think it will be super scary to go a month without a doctor appointment but I seem to have a bunch already scheduled after radiation. Plastic surgeon , breast surgeon and the survivorship nurse practitioner in May . So June, nothing ... Yike

(Tried to post this earlier but lost the internet at chemo center). Better late than never!

    Bevmomduck...you look great!

My TEs are losing some air, of course my PS won't fill me until chemo is done...he's going to swap the air for saline at the beginning of May so at least I have foobs for my May 21 cruise. I may go flat before then LOL

fightingirl: I know just what you mean. It still feels false to say "cancer-free"... I make myself say it so I will believe it.

PugsMama, hope you find the saline as comfy as the air! Can't wait to be rid of the TEs... I'm in for another fill on friday

dcbc - I am debating over 3D tattoo or Origami nipple + tattoo. I hate to be cut again for the origami but .... I may.

my 2 cents are that we are not done until every last one of us has finished treatment. This was a team effort, and this group has helped every step along the way and we know each other quite well. I have learned more here than at certain appts. So we stay a team until the last girl crosses the finish line. Doesn't matter what phase you are in - we all want to hear how everyone is doing.

Bevmomduck - that is the cutest photo I just want to squish you!!

Pugsmama- yay 2 down!!! Get out that marker and X it off the calendar. Rest up and recover. Don't let the pugsies jump on you to deflate you more!

3 bears, hope you escaped a hospital admission this week.

I can't wait to hear about the grand baby - hope everything goes ok for mama and baby.

    Xxoo

For those of you of who had a mastectomy, has your PS discussed implants with you?

Mine mentioned at my last fill to be thinking about how I feel about my current size but he hasn't discussed implant styles, types, etc.

I am going to ask him on Monday at my next fill.

DCBC & Farmdream: Personally, I would never opt for headlights, one of the plusses for me of having foobs isat least I won't have to wear a bra. (Isn't it ironic I'm still in a bra 24/7 bc of these TEs!!!!) Maybe it's me, but I think I'm too old to have the foobs standing at attention when I'm braless! I vascillate between 3D nips and artwork, the only thing that makes me think the artwork won't get old is that the foobs won't get old. When I look in the mirror, the foobs will grab my attention and I won't have to look at what's going on with my body south of the boobs! LOLOL

You'll all be deciding this before me and I can't wait to hear what you choose!

Leftcoastie: speaking of nipples, hope your surgery went well today!!

Elem: After chemo, I'm headed for the Aromatase Inhibitor decision too!

Cowboy-Up: Hugs for tomorrow & Happy Birthday!!!

Fightingirl: If this cycle is like the first one, I'll be OK today & tomorrow because I'm still on steroids, Saturday I'll crash & basically be in bed weak & fatigued until next Thursday, at which time I'll feel fine until the next one. It will be so much easier this time because I'll know what to expect and I won't have to work from home. It sounds dreadful but so many of the gals on the heavier regimens have much worse side effects. I'm going to embrace my prescription for laziness this time with the knowledge that eventually the fatigue passes and I'll feel like myself for a couple of weeks until the next one...

pugsmama and 3bears, shellyb - you are never far from my thoughts as you chug your way through chemo (oh dear, did I miss anyone else ?). The post about eating whatever the heck tastes good! ✔( My friend who just finished chemo only wanted smoothies). I love you so much for standing tall and riding this through because it's worth it.

Radiation ppl - love to you, hope you stay strong until the end and then take a well deserved lazy rest time. I feel 'ya!

Farmdream- I'm starting to think about TE switchout, too and all I know is I don't want what looks like two jelly donuts stuck on my front! I had that whacky look for 13 years after first implants from another lifetime and do not want that again. The TE thread talks about 'fluff and settle' - that's what I'm looking for

question: how long did any BMX'ers (I think that makes us sound athletic and daring, right? [Sorry, rabbit trail] ) with blue dye injection still see the dye? My cancer side still has a large matt dark cobalt blue area after 3 weeks 😳. Both surgeons and wound care (hyperbaric) say they rarely see it stay so vivid so long...... guess I'm just a colorful person 🔵

    Baby watch still on.......❤

{Looks like a got a little carried away with punctuation symbols tonight} 😂

Bevmomduck: don't make me laugh! I've been peeing all day! Lololol.

My dye stuck around for about 3-4 weeks. Looked like a huge bruise. I was afraid it was necrosis at first!!

Dcbc: I'm sure the saline will be much heavier than the air. Not sure how that's gonna feel, it'll be an adjustment getting used to heavier boobs, that's for sure! No hope for ditching the bra when that happens.. I'm in bra purgatory for the foreseeable future! Lol

Ok ladies....no baby yet. Last call she was at 5cm. I want to be there so bad! Grandson is content with his grandfather (Daddy's) and big sister (10) staying at the hospitality house for the hospital. His daddy can run back and forth and check on him. It's a few blocks from the hospital and super nice!

Bevmomduc- love it you look great!

Figthingirl - I miss your post! Glad you popped in and shared with us.

Pugsmama - sure hope you did ok today and enjoyed bevmomduc picture of the pug...to funny!

Annoyingboob - I love your idea. Together until we are done! I'm like cowboyup, I'm dragging with my whole plan. I haven't even had my first radiation appointment!

Cowboyup -happy birthday! If I didn't tell you already. ..no memory lately. I will have my appointment on the 21st. Seems weeks and weeks aways!

Elem- glad you are close to finish!

Now let's wait by the phone. ...and wait....and wish I was at labor and delivery birthing a baby!

    Love to you all!

Hey girls! Everyone seems to be marching forward in good spirits. However, that donut dog .... LOL

I had my "teaching" appointment for Tamoxifen, so I will start tonight. They pretty much made it sound like the worst drug on the planet. Then I had to sign a release that said that they told me all of hte awful things that can happen. I was left wondering why I should even take it. But, I will .... and hopefully I am in the majority of women who find it "no big deal". If it is a big deal, the bottle of tamoxifen can just go right down the drain.

Repeat oncotype came back - they wouldn't redo the whole thing (so no new number) they just said that the results were concordant with the initial test. I am officially off the chemo train waiting station.

First pill tonight. Eyes wide open as I watch for hot flashes, crampy muscles, blood clots, uterine cancer, and vision changes.

pyrrh: I knew you wouldn't be joining us on the train! Cribriform is the least aggressive BC of them all....Congratulations! Great news!! Take some time to celebrate no chemo before worrying about the Tamoxifen. Hope your SEs turn out to be no big deal..

Heard from Win-chimed on the chemo board. She's doing OK & sending her shuga!

Pugsmama - I in fact 100% agreed with you, but my MO must be new and nervous or something; she didn't want to believe any of the labs that so strongly screamed "no chemo!" and had everything retested. Even my RO, and my surgeon were pretty darn sure I'd be not doing chemo. We just had to convince her I guess. Better safe than sorry? I have a second opinion service as a part of work benefits, and those docs also agreed.

The only reason I even know the cribriform part is that my initial labs (done at another practice in another state) were MUCH more thorough. Even the 2nd opinion docs commented that the lab report from them was very thorough and well explained.

Baby girl weighedin at 8.2 and is 19 and 3/4 inches. She had a high heart rate but is doing well. She is getting bottled breast milk from the breast bank so she doesn't get her heart rate up trying to nurse. DD is breast feeding some. They sound so tired but are doing well. SIL said she has the most beautiful round face. No name yet. DD said she's getting her tubes tied most painful birth ever. .bless her. I'm kind of glad I wasnt there. It's hard for the momma to watch her daughter in pain! It's easier to give birth than watch!

Thank you ladies for letting me share here. We aren't posting on FB so the little family can get some rest

Much love to you each and everyone!

oOh congratulations Vargadoll, that is one beautiful granddaughter!!! Such kissable little cheeks!! Happy birthday Cowboy-up, was it the same day as Vargas' new granddaughter?

Bevmomduck, great picture!! You look great, if I didn't know better I would say you look ready to run a marathon!! I guess we are running marathons, all of us, and we are going to WIN!!!

I do feel a little lost too though. As my DCIS was we/PR neg, no hormone therapy for me. Nodes were clear, so no rads. The PS doesn't do my fills, his PA does them. And lastly, I sent an email to my nurse nav re my stereotactic biopsy showed microinvasion, but my surgical Pathology from BMX showed NO microinvasion. I WAS all happy about that, but on another thread a member told me I must get the biopsy reexamined if possible. She said just because they didn't see microinvasion in BMX pathology, doesn't negate the fact they saw it in biopsy. NOW I am a bit nervous, and I got an autoreply email from nurse nav that she is out of the office til the 13th, and if I need immediate assistance call the office. There are more Navs there. Well I didn't call, I forwarded the email to another nav, but no response. I am wondering if I should have been on chemo.

As for Nips, my PS team does not do the reconstruction, they said they usually flatten out anyway. The PA for the PS has been trained in 3D tattoos. I need to ask her if she uses medical ink or actual tattoo ink. Apparently the medical ink needs to be retouched more, I guess it fades quicker than regular tattoo ink. That famous nip tattoo artist Vinnie Meyers has a studio less than 2 hours away, but I don't think my insurance would cover it not being in a medical setting.

PugsMama, I'm with you. I don't want permanent headlights. I always got self conscious when I was cold and it was obvious lol.

Congrats to everyone getting through the treatments like true warrior princesses.

    Blessings and hugs!!!
