Keeping you in prayer, Kandy. You are such an inspiration.

Let your body rest as much as it needs to. I fall asleep in the La-Z-Boy at the drop of a hat and don't even realize it while I'm trying to watch TV. Kind of irritating, but I have to cut myself some slack.

Thinking of you, Kandy, and praying things are looking up for you. I remember bruising so easily on Ibrance at 125mg dose. I never did a dose reduction but appears that many have and it has resolved some of their major issues. Definitely praying that is the case for you. Rest is good - I know it's frustrating but it takes such strength and energy for our bodies to heal. Praying for better days ahead and sending hugs to you tonight.

I am just about done with my week off of Ibrance. Wednesday I start back. I still don't feel like I have recovered at all. This morning, it was very difficult to get out of the bed. I seem short of breath, tired, and everything hurts. Still have swelling in my legs and left arm. If I stay on my feet for about 30 minutes, I get hot, flushed and throw up yellow bile. I feel like I'm a mess.

Lita, so sweet for you to post when you have enough to deal with, thank you. I also fall asleep while doing something else. I can be in the middle of crocheting and drop off. When I wake up, I continue on like I never stopped, lol. You take care of yourself, praying hard for you.

Artist, you can join us in the recliner sleeping club, but I'm not even in a recliner, lol. I fall asleep sitting straight up. I hope you are doing okay. I would be haressing the specialty pharmacy everyday as to what is the problem. I had trouble with mine too, I called everyday.

To everyone else, thank you so much for checking in on me and praying. Y'all are an awesome group. Praying for each and everyone of you. Enjoy the moment, it's all we are promised.

kandy, I'm so sorry you feel like crud. Have they reduced your dose??? It made a WORLD of difference for me. Feel better dear lady. Also, I called yesterday audibly upset and would not let them go without an explanation and ETA. I'm getting it tomorrow. Which starts a whole new anxiety right? How will the SE's be? Will it work? AAArrrrrgggghhhh!

Kandy - sleep is about all I accomplished when I started Ibrance! Let your body rest, however, the swelling in your legs has me very concerned. They check my legs, ankles and feet for swelling every month. Not to scare you, but it can be a symptom of pulmonary embolism. Please get it checked Asap. Also, if your are having such a rough time, please don't wait 5 months, like I did, to get a dose reduction. 26 cycles later, I'm still here, so obviously the lower dose works.

Now, sweet Kandy, you share all with us, the good, the bad and the ugly. We are here for you and for each other! Never, I repeat, never feel like you are a downer. You are always so thoughtful and kind to everyone who need a boost, it it only fair that we get to return the favor. Sending gentle hugs and prayers.

I start back on Ibrance tomorrow, going to take 75mg every other day. I had to go today just to get labs. Potassium has fell to 2.5. They talked about admitting me to start IV potassium. I did not want that again. So they gave me 2 horse pills while I was there, promised to get script and continue to take them and I would call immediately if my chest started hurting. Evidently when it drops that low it likes to stop your heart from beating. My hemoglobin was better but still at 8. Which is low knowing Ibrance will lower it. I have to go back on Thursday for recheck. They will decide then rather or not to give more blood. Maybe those 2 things are making me feel bad. Thanks again for all of the support and concern. Hope everyone is doing well. Prayers for all of you

Kandy, thanks so much for posting. So good to hear from you so we can pray for specifics! That IV potassium is so bad on your veins and hard in general. I had many problems when I was on the feeding tube and low potassium was a major one. Went to the hospital more than once due to low potassium. I ended up putting liquid potassium in my tube 2-3 times daily. Is this something you could drink? Much easier than those horse pills.

Wish you the best on the lower dose of Ibrance. Saying a prayer for you tonight!

When you mentioned the "horse pills" for potassium, I knew immediately what you meant. My Mom had tremendous difficulty taking those. So we got her switched to small white potassium capsules from TwinLab. Much easier to swallow. Thought I'd mention it in case they might help you too.

They have the same 99 mg as the horse pills they offered her, just no binders, etc. "Here's" a link to them on-line @ Walgreen's (still having a Cyber-Week 25% off, BTW), NAYY...you can also find them on-line at Amazon, etc.

You've been in my thoughts and prayers, and will stay there.

Kandy, I've had IV potassium, too. I know you need supplements for sure, but can you also eat bananas? I always feel like the nutrients from food get through faster and more deeply.

Feel better, friend. Pulling for you and praying for a lift.

Kandy, I think you will see a world of difference on the lower dose. Will they up that to every day if you are doing well? Hope things level out soon. We are all thinking of you.

I had to do IV potassium a number of times while on chemo. For me, it was an amazing pick me up. They have to infuse it rather slowly, so it meant a few hours in the infusion center, but I immediately felt better. The horse pills took longer to have effect in my case. I asked my doctor about eating high potassium foods, and she said I couldn't eat enough bananas to overcome the deficit the chemo was causing.

I'm still not feeling great but so much has been going on that who knows what's causing what. We did get my potassium up, the nursesaid we would continue the pills and slowly decrease them as my numbers come up. I started the lower dose of Ibrance on Wednesday so I've only taken 2 pills since it is every other day. My MO is thinking that my liver is swollen and is rubbing against my large intestine causing unbearable pain. He mentioned that he might image it again to see what's happening. If that is the case, he thinks they should radiate it to get it off the intestines. They got me in today for another blood transfusion so hopefully that will make me feel better soon. Love and hugs to all of you. Praying that a new treatment comes out soon that will kill all those nasty cells. Wishing you all the best.
