Pink, I didn’t know about waking helps RBC, that’s great, we should move around more. We can do 10 min walk several times a day.

Pink, I didn't know about the RBC and SOB and the link to walking. I've been trying to push myself just because "the more you do, the more you can do". Now there's some science to go with it. It gives me even more incentive, thanks.

I've been trying to push the SOB a bit, thinking maybe it's like anything else, if you push through and walk a little faster or longer, or fold clothes, you can eventually get less SOB. So I'll keep at it, but I'm being conservative, we're not in perfect health training for a marathon and our bodies have been beat up a bit. But I feel encouraged, yay.

I love having the time change in the Fall and gain that extra hour. I think we should gain an hour every Sat night. If I ran the world, that would be a thing. ;-)

Have a great day, enjoy your extra hour

I read up n it. What happens is that as you exercise you take in more oxygen. Whalen you’re short of breath you don’t get as much oxygen which tells you lungs and heart that you need more. That in turn tells your body it needs more oxygen which is carried in your RBC. That tells your bone marrow to get busy and get more RBC and send the oxygen to your lungs and heart. I’ve noticed since I’ve been doing more treadmill that my SOB has gone and my complexion is returning to normal.

Go easy at first but as each day passes you’ll notice that you can do a little longer and faster than the day before. I was never a big exercise fan but lately have noticed it sure helps. Do what you can each day. Every little bit helps. Even ten minutes. And remember it all takes time. Just when you think it’s never going to get better that’s when you’ll notice it s improving ever so slowly

Pink, just got back from my walk and added 10min extra. Thanks for sharing the science, I feel better just knowing I'm in control of this one aspect

well now you gave me encouragement, i did go out to check mail......short walk but gonna do another short walk around tge block, could hit the gym but.....thinking not

Proudtospin: I'd forget the gym for now. Too early. Short walk to get the mail and back is good. If you go each day to get the mail you'll find after a couple of days you can go a little bit further without huffing and puffing. Build yourself up slowly. Your leg muscles are the biggest muscles in your body. They will take time to build back up.

Teese: Way to go, you can do it. If you can do chemo you can do the exercise thing. That extra ten minutes will make a huge difference.

Remember; don't over do it. If you need to take the day off because you're not up to, then do that. If you can only do five minutes then that's what you do. Every little bit counts.

Proud just do it slowly and don’t push it.

I did my 40 min walk this morning, I nap after lunch and still tired. I might not able to walk that much tomorrow.

Be careful what you wish for....in my last post, I said I wanted IV fluids....well I am about toget some bc Ihad to go to urgent care. Won't get into why bc I have to type w my left hand, but we are being cautious so nothing interferes with my chemo schedule! Nothing super serious, though

Pingpong & Teese: How did you feel when you got up today?

Pingpong: I have no patience when it comes to being sick. I have places to go and things to do. I have to give myself the love that I need to heal.

Paulette: You'll start to feel better once your chemo is done. Until then you're doing pretty good with your walking.

Leatherette: Thoughts and sending lots of healing strength your way.

Pink, Ok so I kept busy all day and went to bed quite tired but slept really well. Then this morning I felt tired, but I've tried to keep busy. I'm determined to push through this, but at the same time not over do. Like you, I have no patience for this, I recognize I'm recovering, but I want to get through this as soon as possible.

    I like the challenge though.

Leatherette, a little worried, praying all is well.

Day 5 post final chemo today. Feeling good...a little tired. My hot flashes are always the first few days/nights after chemo. Has anyone else noticed this? I just keep telling myself, I will be feeling better on a few days.

Funny story for this Monday...was putting my essential oils for neuropathy on my feet this morning. I noticed some hair growth on my toes! At first I was like "hair growth ...AWESOME!!" Then I was like "EWWW....hair on my toes! Gross!!" Haha! Mad me laugh! My husband did say he noticed some growth on my head this weekend. I am anxious to get this hair growing.

I received a call from my radiologists nurse this morning. Have first appts the Friday after Thanksgiving and will begin rads the following week! My port will also be removed the Wed before Thanksgiving. Continuing to move along to the finish line!

Pink and Teese - I try to go with the flow (at least I think I am ), so I will try to be patience. I did my 40 minuets today again, since I live on the hill so there were ups and downs hill walking. I did fine and I will continue to walk unless it rains. I think walking is one way to build up our energy and sob.

Runnermum - my hot flashes stated in day 4 and I’m getting some this morning. Hopefully won’t last too many days. Still haven’t seen any hair grow .....

    Leatherette- thinking of you.

Proud- have fun wig shopping. That can be a good time. I ended up getting 4. 3 were not very expensive and the 4th was a gift from our cancer center. The wildest I went was a silver page boy.

    Leatherette, hoping all is well.

I found a time limited good deal on countertops, so I decided to do a minor kitchen remodel now, in the middle of chemo. I thought, what the hey. It might be good to have something really distracting these last weeks of taxol. Today I had to have the counters cleared by 10, so by the time the worker bees got here I was exhausted. Just a little more to do before tomorrow and then I can crash on the couch and eat off paper plates. Seems fitting since nothing tastes like food anymore anyway.

You gals got some energy, I wait for next year to remodel my bathroom. I can’t take up any project for now, not until I get my radiation finished.

Sorry, I wasn't meaning to worry anyone! I thought I had sinusitis, and was worried my chemo would get delayed. My temp wasn't 100.5, but they wanted me to come in. Multiple tests later, I am fine. So at least I know that I'm clear as of now.

Thank you for the well wishes and prayers

Leatherette, glad to hear it was "nothing" .... I'll be so happy to be back to a point where the littlest things don't set off some panic (in me, in my husband, in the MO office)....

Today is Taxol #9. I think they're going to reduce my dose by 10% because of the neuropathy. I wasn't going to call and say anything until next week's appointment, but after waking up through the night feeling like my arms were asleep (they weren't), I decided I better. That and seeing comments about it getting worse "quickly" ... and worrying about being able to walk in San Diego next weekend (the 3-Day for the Cure!) ... I'll go conservative and ask for the dose reduction.

    Hope everyone's having a good day ...

Jen, I thought about you this morning, knowing you have infusion on Tuesday, best of luck, send you good vibes and praying for you with no neuropathy this time. My hands are getting pretty numb also.

Proud, having a breakin between helps a lots isn’t it?

Wish everyone have a good Tuesday!
