    Mae,

I'm too claustrophobic for pockets but I am praying for you and your husband, the surgeon and all who are treating you this morning. May you feel complete peace of mind and be healed.

Good to see you Chicagoan! Lynnwood! Always miss the OG’s!

Hope both are well, just waiting to hear from Mae’s DH!! Pins and needles. This disease sucks! today, has been 4 years since my diagnosis. So I have roller coaster emotions already.

Some days I just don’t want to play anymore. Wish I could get out of the sand box. Hello to all

Oh Illimae! I don't usually follow this thread. I'm glad your surgery is over. You have been through so much and I've admired your resolve and humor since we were first diagnosed. Hope you heal up quickly! Heart

Edited to ask for some space in your pocket!!

A poem for Mae, stolen from Rod Stewart. Applicable to all the people I've come to know and care about on this journey. So Mae:

You're in my heart, your in my soul

I'll be your breath when you're not bold

You are my buddy, I call you friend

    You're in my heart.

(and now you're all humming it, aren't you?) Godspeed Mae.

That was great runor! I love that song even more now!

Mae I woke up thinking of you this morning. It's not weird to have anesthesia issues. Just wait it out and let the staff there take of you. So good to hear from you! <3 Gentle hug!

Good day everyone. Had a nice quiet day at home. Watched the new show Picard which I really did enjoy. My soap was preempted because of the impeachment but that is to be expected I guess. Did some sock darning and thread sewing today and of course the perennial laundry. Nice and lazy and enjoyable. Hope everyone else had a decent day too.

Mae, hope you are coming along and have had a chance to eat. Healing vibes coming your way.

Hello Mel yourself, you are right, we are very supportive of each other here. Welcome to any newcomers

Good day everyone! So much happening! Mae, my deepest hopes for a quick recovery. Anesthesia can be so difficult. Moomala, what an adventure. I hope your arm heals quickly and your potassium rebounds. Those pills are awful (had to take a couple during the summer for the same problem). Everyone--sending positive thoughts.

I have thought of you all this week, but have been focused on reorganizing our Christmas items to hopefully fit them all in one storage area, rather than two.

Some pictures to distract from our difficulties. The little tomato plants from a couple months ago are monsters, but its been a bit chilly for the fruit to set. DH has planted the front yard for me and I can't wait for it to develop (because we live in an extreme fire zone we are using rocks for mulch-white ones are in, brown is on its way). And lastly, baby hat and mittens for a colleague of DS, whose baby is due in February.

    Hey Lego and minus!

So here’s the deal. It was almost all cancer, not much radiation necrosis as expected but it went really well and the neurosurgeon is confident she get all she could see, probably follow up with more rads. My big problem is the incubation tube and being positioned on my right side. Throat is killing me and I can’t swallow, so this is my 2nd day of no sleep and no food. I’ve been very nauseous too and we’ve been battling so high blood pressure. I am able to walk some, grateful for that.

Mae, thanks for checking in. I am glad you are able to get some walking around done. I am sorry for the lack of sleep and sore throat from the intubation tube. Hopefully eating and drinking will follow once they take care of the nausea. I hope they are giving you something for that as well.

Mae, I hope you feel better soon, lack of nourishment and sleep is tough...have you tried taking an anti nausea medication and drinking an energy drink with a straw? If you can manage to purée and drink some fruits, the potassium will help lower the blood pressure naturally....Big hug!

Damn it Illimae! Sorry it was not as expected but the good thing is they took it out! Rads can do the clean up IF there are any remaining cells. Surgical recovery sucks but you will get better each day. I don't do well under anesthesia either-I wake up puking! Hope they get your nausea under control quick and your throat improves do you can drink and eat. That will make a big difference. Keeping you in my prayers!!! Rest and heal up my friendHeart

Mae, I am sorry you are having a rough time right now. It is hard to go through these early post-surgical days, especially when the results were not what you had expected. It is difficult to deal with everything on the best of days, but when you are overtired, undernourished, nauseated, and suffering from a sore throat, it is almost impossible to see that proverbial light at the end of the tunnel, even when you know it is there. Knowing what I do about you, I think it is safe to say you are feeling impatient and frustrated. I would be, too. You have many people here who care about you and are pulling for you. For my part, I am pulling just as hard as everyone else. I hope things turn around quickly and your recovery gets back on track.
    Hugs and prayers from, Lynne

Mae~ just checking in on you. I am sorry about the sore throat I hate that. How is DH doing? Know he hates not having control. I’m thinking of you and am making camp in the hospital drawer tonight. Much love coming your way.

Lynne~ welcome home friend. Miss you.

Mae, missed your op post but been keeping track. Those of us who have been through major surgery stuff will get it. Feeling crap, on a go slow and full of drugs. But well done you! Managed to clean your teeth yet? Huge! Showered? You are are star! Walked anywhere with drip/ drain attached ... massive! Hang in there.. and know the cancer stuff is a thing too. But first....recover from the op!
