Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announces more than 100 members of Mexico's courageous Fire Brigade to help Los Angeles. They have already crossed the border, by foot, by plane, and helicopter fleets. All this despite DJT trashing Mexico for the past few years. A truly deranged and violent ignorant man, the only people worse are those who voted for him. At this point, the only thing MAGA does is pray for the flames.
Let's pray for all the firefighters who risk their lives to save others. And another reminder why we don't need Don's wall

Ruth, you were so right about the Trumps showing up at the funeral. Watching the behaviors of such un-caring and un-loving people is the push-back that needs to be in place. All can be reminded of good and evil in a way that makes deep impressions and after so many years of the orange thing injecting himself (wanted or not) into our lives good reminders of how GOOD it use to be are more than ever needful. I'm now sorry that I said what I did.
I'm certainly not anxious for Pres. Biden to have to actually hand over the reins and I do think there are some limits to how long FG will actually inhabit the WH in his 'condition'. I won't be liking any of the alternatives, but I do entertain a tiny bit of hope that a lot will end up impossible — unforeseen right now by any of us — their side as well as ours. It sounds as well like GOP has much going on that could cause a lot of upset in the mix to possibly upset the accomplishments that side hopes for. Still going to be painful and disgusting and hard to take — but I hope we can keep our fight all the way through because I think we will see a change for the better at the end of this coming 4 years. I'd like to hope that plans are being put into place early on (no waiting please at all) to fix so much that has been broken, discarded, manipulated and I hope highly fixable with the right people in place. It's certainly time. Our system needs a lot of re-vamping. We could do it.

DH, the dog & I were on a car ride this morning. DH had some sports station on the radio, and who should come on during a commercial? Donald Trump "your favorite president" selling 'Trump Watches'! Can you imagine any other president doing that? Jimmy Carter selling peanuts from his farm? George Washington advertising dentures, "sink your teeth into my new brand"? John Kennedy selling Boston Cream Pies? Lincoln 'stand tall in my new line of stove pipe hats'? The possibilities would have been endless…… if they had been con men!

Everything that comes out of his mouth is so hateful. Never one damn nice thing to say about anyone or anything.
That is such a bad disease. Just think of this man's life — so futile and wasted. He has had so much more than most men and has enjoyed none of it for long if at all. If he is the envy of anyone, they are truly foolish beings. He has no true feeling, only very mean and vengeful impulses. Does he appreciate a little gentle rain or the great rays of sunshine that warm us and frankly I doubt he barely notices and thinks only of the possible inconvenience to himself.
I so appreciate having a soul and along with it a conscience that hurts if I do wrong because if I hurt I am inspired to fix the hurt and change. I can't imagine any other way — but for someone like Trump — no feeling. Empty and barren is all there ever was or will be. No wonder he is like he is — a man who is living who has never experienced real life and never will. Almost beyond comprehension.

I would say of the above that it is a good fit for most people. Doesn't fit the orange one as his soul is un-recognized or felt by him — but I do believe that we learn and grow (hopefully much better in the end) by that which happens to us and around us.
So, we learn, whether pain or pleasure comes of life's lessons.
