Today, veterans across America are taking a powerful stand against the Trump administration's selfish policies that are putting their livelihoods and healthcare at risk. Republicans only seem to care about vets as political props, touting their support in speeches and campaigns, but when it comes to actual legislation they always seem to slash critical benefits and services to those who have served.

The cuts to Social Security, federal job losses, and reductions in VA services feel like a betrayal of the promise our country made to support those who have served. Progressive groups like Fourteenth Now are leading the charge, emphasizing the need to hold Trump accountable for his alleged role in the January 6 insurrection and to uphold the Constitution.

The biggest protest happened in Washington, D.C., where thousands of veterans and their supporters came together to demand justice and better support for their community. Similar rallies took place in cities like Salem, Oregon, and St. Paul, Minnesota, showing that this is a nationwide movement against the Trump administration's austerity measures. Unsurprisingly, the mainstream media hasn't given these events the attention they deserve. Seriously, how often do vets march against the Republicans?

These protests are the just start of a percolating anger across the nation about the disastrous and destructive policies of this maga movement that is driving America over a cliff. It's time for our country to step up and ensure that those who have served are treated with the respect and care they deserve.

The life of the individual has meaning only insofar as it aids in making the life of every living thing nobler and more beautiful. Life is sacred, that is to say, it is the supreme value, to which all other values are subordinate. Albert Einstein

I'm still a bit ambivalent. Saying that though, I pretty much highly respect all the Democrats listed here and feel if they voted for funding — then they have solid reasoning and likely should have done it. I'm pretty much okay with them. I've never been able to argue my point well at all in politics and this is definitely one where I'm sure I'd do terrible if I had to do so.

Compliments of RFK. and the current WH. Forgive them Lord, they know not what they do — but I'm warning in advance. I'm not forgiving any of them.

And this is how it goes. And we Democrats will have to FIX it again.

And it seems though we may not be hearing just how many, that plenty are upset and many complaints to the tune that tele conferences rather than town hall meetings are taking place. Easier to obfuscate and dodge full throated questions when you don't have to look someone one directly in the eye — face to face — in full flesh person.
