    Trill, you are in no way a buzz kill or a Debbie Downer. I want to go into this election eyes wide open. We need to stay level headed. There’s no counting chickens before they’re hatched. I didn’t do that last election. I didn’t have a good feeling going in to that election day and was one of the few not surprised by the outcome. Yes, we want to have hope this election but we certainly don’t want to deceive ourselves into thinking the battle is won.

    Regarding the conservative’s comment on this thread earlier which I see has been removed by the Mods. What I don’t understand is why Trumpers feel a need to crush their opponents. They always seem to be in your face, nya, nya, na, na, na. Why does a person have to be like that? If Biden wins, I’m not the type to rub it in the face of Trumpers. So that's a main reason they are such a turn off. If they could come to the table with respect and consideration and discuss issues in a reasonable manner, it would be one thing. But to be crass and aggressive, to me it is their leader’s example they follow, thinking since they support him, they can be bullies because he is. They likeTrump as president because it gives them license to be rude and mean.

    Divine, thanks for that! Unlike you, I was certain Hillary would win. What nation could vote in the joke that was--and is--Donald Trump? Well, we sure found out...... our own!

    Thank God for small favors: Just heard on the news that our governor, who is Republican, is NOT going to vote for Trump. Gov. Hogan is well-liked and has done a great job. Soon after taking office he was diagnosed with lymphoma and went through chemo as he was just beginning governorship--and did so in a strong, totally un-self-pitying way. Nor did he wave his own flag. Really like him. But I thought that, that being said, he'd stick with his party. So happy he's breaking ranks.....

    You are not a downer Trill. The people I consider downers are the one that constantly point out what we all know. That there are pitfalls all along the way. I too thought Hillary had it sewed up in 2016 -- and gag -- even Trump thought it. So, I get upset now and then with the thought of what COULD happen, but since I know -- I'm going to act as though it won't. That is what saves my sanity -- believing that evil won't prevail and so trying my best to stay in the light of truth and justice . Trump and co., do not make it easy, and so once in awhile when the struggle gets to ya -- if you need to share it, no problem. It is the everyday DD that starts to annoy me with the things I'm aware of and trying not to give them an overt amt. of space in my head. Act as though Trump can't possibly win -- and really, this I'm thinking that is a big possibility.

    If I were a true conservative and/or a true Christian, I would be the FIRST in line to vote Trump out; in hopes of shaking my party and/or religion from it's Trump hypnosis and reclaim it back to decent, humane people who actually practice what they preach before its too late.

    Love those memes and Spookie -- I'll chip in with the biggest smile and glass of champagne. Heard on Rachel Maddow tonight that a judge is asking for Trump to clarify his thoughts on tweet that he wanted the whole Russia probe to be un-classified including the blocked out parts. The DOJ lawyers when asked, would not release it saying that Trump didn't mean it. So it is now before a judge who is saying Trump must clarify. Did he mean what he said ??

    My vision of this -- now Trump is bound to look at looney as he is perhaps. What do you say?? Yeah judge, I was running my mouth and didn't hear what I said and I don't really want it all out in the open for the world at large to see. So many times I've wondered about some people. If they heard some other person say what they just said -- what would they think ??? Then again if Trump thinks ( and he likely does ) like he talks no wonder he is in trouble. I also think -- what if he were held to account for everything he has said and done just since the first day in the OO, the payback would take yrs. and yrs.

    Kind of a weird thing happened today. I was leaving a comment on a story in the Washington Post, when I noticed a username I recognized from here. I asked and she said yes, she had the same username here. Very strange to encounter a virtual acquaintance in two completely unrelated forums.

    Based on her comment, I think she would enjoy the thread. Is it okay to tell others about it and invite them here? I found it by accident, but there are a couple of others I think would love to know this thread exists.
