Glennie, the Idiot did indeed steal that from Reagan. CNN was discussing it earlier today.

Wow !! That is a huge bus. You're right -- the Reps protesters look small and pretty in-consequential around that bus. It also strikes me that since it is hard to be everywhere you'd like to be, having such an impressive presence with that bus ,which also says on the side " Battle for the Soul of the Nation ", is not bad as second choice.
I read earlier that Michael Steele ( on MJ this a.m. ) thinks the Reps, many of them are not as the news is saying,' coming ' home to Trump. Steele says there is nothing to come home too. What, too Covid, a flat-lined economy, people out of work, trade war still causing issues, and that is not even counting the current and prior past couple of weeks full of lies, name calling and wild conspiracy theories. There is nothing to point to that would make out proud -- it is mainly destructions of different kinds that have taken place all along.
So once again feeling like I need to be cautious but remember Trump has those who will never leave, but likely many have already and I thin you said Divine -- how many Reps. just won't vote period. The down ballot may get wiped out. I do know the Reps. are really looking at that in a very un-happy and negative way.

Me! Me! Ooh, ooh. Pick me. I'll help Lindsey pack, just before I give him a boot to the tush.
Maybe it's just me, but every time I see Lindsey Graham, I think of Despicable Me, and the litte yellow Minions. That's how I see him. As one of those minions. Was there a whiny one?
Edited for pathetic spelling.

Me. when do you want me to show up. I have become a master at organization especially in keeping, donating and purging. So I will gladly purge him.

glennie, your reporting from your volunteering as a poll greeter is very interesting. Did it surprise you that Republicans were in the line since it’s reported they will come out in force on Nov 3.? So why are they voting early? To avoid the hoax of Covid19 on election day? Because they don't trust the mail system? Because they are not working due to the coronavirus and they haven't anything better to do with their time? If any of the above, it is a direct result of how Trump is running his adminitration.
Yes, there are regulations in Ohio also about how far you must be from the polling site to share or put up campaign endorsements, 100 feet. Polling sites are supposed to put up small flags to designate where the 100 feet start. You’re not permitted to wear any campaign items, hat, shirt, button, ect. in to vote. Sadly, I saw an article stating this is not enforceable this year, similar to masks. They don’t want a big uproar at polling sites.

Darn, I don’t get CNN for the First Ladies series. Hopefully it will come on Hulu, Netflix or Prime which I have. That kind of show is right up my alley.

It's an interesting series. They devote an entire episode to one First Lady at a time so it's an in depth look at each woman.

Ruth: "It wouldn't be surprising in Trump stole his slogan from someone else.....actually it would be suprising if he hadn't!"
He has to spread out his plagiarism. He can't steal everything from Goebbels and Mussolini.

It's a long video (~30 minutes), but Sen. Whitehouse does an amazing job outlining and breaking down the Rep's dark money endeavors and goals. Very Orwellian.
Whitehouse Gives Extensive Presentation On Dark Money Behind Conservative Court Appointments

from the Huffington Post:
The White House has been aware for more than a month that coronavirus cases have been surging nationwide as President Donald Trump has publicly downplayed the virus and held crowded events, according to private documents obtained and released Tuesday by a key House committee.
Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.), chair of the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis, released six weekly White House coronavirus task force reports showing that the White House has known since just after Labor Day that COVID-19 cases are skyrocketing and that there is a serious need for more testing and mask mandates.
But the White House chose to hide these reports, according to Clyburn, as Trump publicly claimed in September the coronavirus "affects virtually nobody" and hosted potential superspreader events in states the task force warned had spikes in cases, including Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Carolina.
Until now, the task force reports were shared privately with state governments but were not disclosed to the public.
The reports show that White House officials watched as the number of states in the "red zone" ― a region with newly diagnosed COVID-19 case rates above 100 per 100,000 people over the previous week, and lab test positivity results above 10% ― jumped from 18 to 31 between Sept. 13 and Oct. 18.
The reports also show a dangerous disconnect between the task force's findings and Trump's actions. In its Sept. 20 report, the task force warned the number of states in the "red zone" had ticked up to 18. Wisconsin was seeing a particularly high increase in positive cases, at 145%. Yet, on Oct. 1, Trump held two more rallies in the state.
By Oct. 18, the task force reported that 31 states were in the "red zone." A day later, Trump told campaign staffers on a call, "People are tired of COVID. ... People are saying, 'Whatever. Just leave us alone.' They're tired of it. People are tired of hearing Fauci and all these idiots," referring to National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Anthony Fauci.
The task force calls for more testing in all 50 states, contradicting Trump's claim that he has "done too good a job" on testing. It also urges "red zone" states to put mask mandates in place, as governors in some of those states ignore the recommendations and embrace Trump's false claims that "there's a lot of problems with masks" and "85% of the people that wear masks catch it."
"The White House reports released today show that President Trump's contempt for science and refusal to lead during this crisis have allowed the coronavirus to surge," Clyburn said in a statement. "Contrary to his empty claims that the country is 'rounding the turn,' more states are now in the 'red zone' than ever before. ... It is long past time that the Administration implement a national plan to contain this crisis, which is still killing hundreds of Americans each day and could get even worse in the months ahead."
A White House spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment. Neither did a spokeswoman for Vice President Mike Pence, who leads the White House coronavirus task force.
More than 220,000 Americans have died from COVID-19 and more than 8.2 million have tested positive, according to Johns Hopkins' Coronavirus Resource Center.
Renowned infectious disease expert Michael Osterholm said Sunday that "the next six to 12 weeks are going to be the darkest of the entire pandemic" and raised concerns about the lack of leadership on the issue.
"When I was on this show last on Sept. 13, we had 33,000 cases reported that day," Osterholm said on NBC's "Meet the Press." "Friday, we had 70,000 cases, matching the largest number we had seen back during the really serious peak in July. That number, we're going to blow right through that."
"This is more than just science," he added. "This is bringing people together to understand, why are we doing this? This is an FDR fireside chat approach. And we're just not doing that."0 -
Damn, I hate those people. How can they justify deliberately killing their fellow Americans? It makes no sense. Don't they have family? Grandparents? Grandchildren? How callous and coldhearted do you have to be to work for that monster?
Rhetorical questions. I think we know the kind of people they are. We just have to vote them out and shove their craziest supporters back under the rocks from whence they came.
On that note, I'm heading out to drop my ballot into the closest really, truly official ballot drop box. Feels great to vote for Joe and Kamala.

pupmom: Wow, they were talking about tRump stealing MAGA from Reagan? **giggles gleefully** just another thing he has stolen!
It is a great series, I recommend it if you get a chance to see it. I LOVED the Michelle Obama episode, and while I'm not a fan of the Reagans, it was an interesting look at them.
Divine: you are not supposed to wear party/candidate info to vote here either, but I saw at least one person wearing a Trump mask. I did not offer him one of my handouts. I'm sure they are not trying to enforce that rule here either. My co-volunteer was wearing her Biden shirt to pass out leaflets, and someone told her she couldn't wear it. She's not in line to vote! Yet the idiots on the street waving huge tRump flags are OK? Go figure.
And I will also help Graham pack. We can get him packed up in no time at all.
And did you hear about the Proud Boys sending threatening emails to Democratic voters in my county? Geez,,,, https://www.wuft.org/news/2020/10/20/fbi-investiga...

Divine: meant to answer your question. The ones who were really nasty seemed like retirement age. But there were a few there who refused my handout who were definitely working age. Go figure.

Hi ladies-- Just wanted to vent for a minute...
Christiane Amanpour on her show tonight was interviewing a fellow who's done this documentary --think his last name is Gibney--about the Trump/ White House/Administration's way of dealing with Covid...and also with the fellow--last name Bright--who was let go after being on the WH Covid task force after being a part of it.....he was in the news a lot a while ago.....
It just made me ill!!! They had all this data for Trump's team to just pick up and use FOR THE VERY REASON IT WAS CREATED: TO HELP IN CASE OF A PANDEMIC! And Trump and Co dismissed, ignored, didn't even take it off the fucking shelf!!! It was POLITICS ABOVE ALL!
I do sincerely believe that Trump and Co should be held accountable for this CRIMINAL NEGLECT OF THE AMERCAN PEOPLE. I hope to God he does not get reelected. God knows what will happen if he is. They have no plan for taming this fucking virus--not then and not now.
I am furious after listening to this interview with these two men.......
We talk about Trump's insecurities and stupidities and vanity--but he's a murderer. At the least it's negligent homicide on a HUGE level.
