And this is what passes for Trump's legal eagle now. God help them both:

I didn't cry back then -- I was too shocked. But yes -- no one now seems to come even close to remembering how easy to put the get over it sentiment out ther for us. Not so easy for them to hear now. There are times when even a Donald Trump is incapable to making things happen. He is trying to act as if he is NOT a loser but it just won't find its way out of him.

Haha, Trill! Love that meme comparing sex to watching Trump losing Georgia twice! Touché!

Glad you were successful with that shot, too.

And Jackie, how true that insanity is counting the same ballots twice and thinking you’ll come up with a different answer.

I had to look up that word, hoosegow, never heard it before, love it! Sounds British “oh, toss him into the hoosegow,” I will find ways to use the word now.

Well who’s with me hoping Rick Scott has a terrible case of covid. My husband learned his supervisor, who’s based two hours away, has been hospitalized ten days with covid. The supervisor said earlier this year he thought covid was a hoax. Why are people still holding on to this false narrative?

I read that Trump knows he lost but is pulling the shit he’s pulling to use as leverage to bargain out of trouble when he’s removed gone from office. Makes sense.

I think you’re right, Jackie. Trump probably thought the election would be much closer and somehow he could more successfully question discrepancies.

I do wonder how much of the recount it is media hype. It’s a suspenseful story that keeps people tuning in, and now that Trump is taking up less of our lives, they’re scrambling to retain viewership.

Maybe he & Rick can share the same hallway when the hospital is overrun.

Unfortunately Ricky is in Naples now. Wonder if he would use his private jet to get to Walter Teed, or call Marine One.

Couldn’t happen to a better guy, Jr. Hope it’s a nasty case.

Jr and Rick Scott. What karma. And yet, people still think it is a hoax. After all the shit that Scott pulled with HCA, it would be karma if he had a bad case, and ended up in one of the HCA hospitals.

Sadly, I just found out that my Rabbi's son, who is also a Rabbi, has been in the hospital for a week with Covid. His wife is also positive, but well enough to be home with the girls, ages 3 and 4 months! Yikes. My Rabbi reports that his son is improving, so hopefully he will be out of the hospital soon. They live in Tulsa, OK, so of course, family can't be with them,,,,

    61 days to go,,,,

glennie: Sorry to hear about your rabbi's son's family. Speedy recovery to them.

The above meme on the forest service really hit my funny bone. I'm all for it. He could be the next rogue alligator on one of his golf courses and it wouldn't cost the taxpayers a red cent.

I say to Geraldo: Yes, we should name the vaccine after a mass murderer who caused the deaths of over 250,000 people due to his concern about "scaring us" (and total lack of empathy)? Are you out of your frigging mind, Geraldo (the answer is yes)? To really cause the drumpf to seizure, I recommend we name it after Dr. Anthony Fauci!

What is scaring us is the fact that we still do not have a handle on this virus, the nutters are still defending their rights by refusing to wear a mask or social distance, and drumpf will try to destroy as much as he can between now and January 19th because the repugnicans are still afraid to cross him to preserve their miserable political futures. What they are forgetting is that we know what they have done or failed to do in the past and do not suffer from short term memory loss. I sent money to the political campaigns for both democratic senator candidates in GA and hope we can unseat the horrible incumbents especially Loeffler. Funny but every time I hear Perdue's name, I see chicken and am not sure if I met him face to face, if I could maintain a sober demeanor, it would be hard not to laugh: Senator Chicken. I apologize if anyone on here is named Perdue, I just have a warped sense of humor at times.

What the eff is with men needing shit named after them? Who goes around saying “I got the Salk vaccine"? Nope, you got a chicken pox vaccine. And how and why is Geraldo still relevant? He's another one needing to retire and go live on an island or something.

So many reasons Trump is delaying transition, obstructing it I should say. One is to take the Dems joy away. No two+ months of celebrating for yinz guys. And here's the twitter post from actor Ed Norton, Yale graduate, which has gone viral.

The simplification of life is one of the steps to inner peace. A persistent simplification will create an inner and outer well-being that places harmony in one's life. For me this began with the discovery of the meaninglessness of possessions beyond my actual and immediate needs. -Peace Pilgrim

Divine, many thanks for putting that in. I didn't look today, but could not open that up before -- I think something I wasn't subscribed to or something. So was wondering. I do hope we call the bluff. I am hearing things said on ( I think mainly CNN ) that if we don't hold Trump accountable for this last four yrs. we really will set the stage for likely losing our democracy. We seem to keep allowing pardons etc. and those who would ordinarily be forced to be accountable end up not having to be. Most of the time this is Reps. at fault -- and they learn nothing. Other than a slight bit of pain but otherwise getting off the hook and they continue to get away with it. That is whatever IT is at the time. So, I'm with Ed Norton.

Whether it happens -- who knows, but someone has to finally let it be known that NO man or President or person is ABOVE the law, ever. I know J. Biden would prefer to toss Trump in the ashbin and go on, but the USAG or SDNY or maybe both in turn need to wipe up the floor with this orange thing. Also, I certainly think it would act as something of a deterrent for others. Hopefully some laws will end up on the books.

Would be nice if we had some laws re-written to reflect the Constitution for a bit more modern day times.

So much that needs doing and that likely speaks more to our needing to hold onto a Democratic presidency for some time in the future to get things more appropriate for a much more modern world. Above all we definitely need to fix this letting anyone apply for the highest office in the land. This last four yrs. is hopefully a hell no one else will have to go through. At my age, I don't think I'll have to but my grands and great grands are in the future.

Just decided a small chat was in order as I looked at some of the Menes out today. Was just looking forward to the time when Donald Trump won't be getting all the news space day in and out. I do watch a variety of news but mainly CNN and MSNBC and some local news. The local news has less, but the cable news is mainly Trump, Trump, Trump and more Trump.

There are a lot of things I want to stay informed about for the next couple of months -- mainly those things that will affect Pres. elect Biden and VP elect Harris getting what they need as transition day comes. Trump is ( this according to most of the news I read as well as cable news ) making a play for a soft and hopefully better landing than he might otherwise get. He is clearly nuts and has been for a long time, but he has never been so far gone that he can't see some of the writing in big black sharpie letters on the wall. He always knew that things could go wrong and was indeed quite nervous about that. Also why plans were made early on to make his message one of fraudulent voting etc. Just ground work that he needed to lay down long before the election.

He did have great hope that it would be a close election so that he could convert the "fraud" to a win for himself. Not to be and while I sigh with such relief, it is tiresome that he still garners about 98% or more of the news. WE all want to forget him, but even though he is pretty much avoiding the public ( golfing today I think ) the news is still hovering around with story lines in high detail about the states that are set to certify, and the lawsuits that are still on but also abruptly being thrown out or terminated right before court opens. I could do with a lot less than that. Trump is following a script about what to do so he can get as many of his needs met as he can -- and as said -- he gets to steal our joy and make us sort of sweat a bit more in case something he does should work. It won't, but he stays relevant in ways that he should not because there is a little part of us that still can feel a tiny little ripple of upset/chaos/fear when we wanted to feel and enjoy our freedom from the chain that bound us to this wreck of a person who had no business in the WH. I do worry as time goes on what he MIGHT do, and hope that by that time there may be those around him ( knowing how horrid it could be ) that won't let him. That is one I'll have to just hope for. So we wait.

Ms Harris is getting security briefings that Joe can’t have right now, so she can tell him in a secure space. That’s comforting.

Jackie - It should be news that Trump, Rudy, and the GOP keep trying to coup. Their tweets and press conferences need to be countered with the truth that their lawsuits are getting thrown out or withdrawn for lack of evidence. Trump is raising money from his remaining foolish supporters on his false claims. They should read the fine print. Their money isn't going where they think it is.
