I have been a little AWOL myself after having lost my last post where I did my best to encourage Ruth to get well soon. Anyway, I'm still saying get well soon because we all look forward to your wisdoms shared with us.

I've so enjoyed ALL the entries since my last one and believe you me, I sooooo share in the joy that our nightmare of a daily sh*t show from the White House and the " it's all about me " person who got help from Comey and Putin so he could be there. That anyone could have allowed him to go a FULL four yrs. and have to be voted out just goes to show how degraded the Reps. have become. Someone did say how once Trump loses and given proper timing there will be great epiphanies from the Reps. That may be so, but I hope Graham gets maximum pressure ( even to the point of having to resign if that is possible ) as well as McConnell and others who made it through this time.

I'm not so vindictive, but just feel that any who couldn't see their way clear to do the ethical thing deserve a little wake from Lady Karma. I would like to think, since I very much doubt they ever had to feel the beat to pieces feelings that we went thru with Trump, the humiliations, and feeling as though we were being stripped bare of everything that had been worked for and earned over long stretches for those we felt needed to be brought forward to a rightful place. Like Dreamers, LGBTQ, ACA, etc.

It is nice and I do often now have thoughts when I awake that are not automatically troubled by a bit of dread for knowing that I will hear and see news of the Orange abomination that took over our WH and can't let one day go that he is not front and center. I look forward to people who I know will work hard, usually behind the scenes and will expect not applause from me, but just revel in the quiet dignity of knowing they are helping their fellow traveler the best that they can. There are good times on the rocky road ahead because there are good people leading the way again.

The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree was still having it's branches fall after being tied up for awhile in the picture posted above. It looks much better in this picture, even though they haven't all fallen yet. Once the lights are on I'm sure it will look beautiful..

    Rockefeller xmas tree

They also found a little owl that was caught in the tree and came all the way from upstate New York with it.

A Ravensbeard Wildlife Center worker swaddles a saw-whet owl, the smallest owl in the northeast, that was rescued from the tree that would become the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree.

Sawsome interesting articles about graham. He admitted his email acct had been hacked in 16. Those emails have never surfaced. Don’t know who has them, possible blackmail? To keep trump in DC? Plus, if he has the balls to call 3 states asking them to throw out ballots, who is to say he didn’t do that in his own state, and “won” his re election.

He's another nowhere man with no moral nor ethical compass. He needs to go and I am sure that John McCain is waiting to kick his ass when he does get to heaven, though I am sure his next address will really be hell.

Funny that this is trump's one and only Thanksgiving in the WH? Don't recall him being there before this. Can we call it his last supper? Does McDonald's cater Thanksgiving? Hope he doesn't schedule the turkey he pardon's as the main course.

Edited because I did not proofread and Chisandy pointed out my spelling error, LOL.

Actually, McCain will kick Graham's ass all the way down the infinite stairway to you-know-where. (I think you meant to say "kick," not "kiss").

Ruth, hope you continue to be on the mend!

The Saw-whet owl was spotted Monday by Jason Ramos (left) within the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, and brought upstate to Ravensbeard Wildlife Center in Saugerties.

Hi ladies, thank you for your continued good wishes. This was my first fever-free day, plus my husband made supper and dumped pepper all over it, which I could actually taste, so hopefully I am on the upswing.

I have had to mostly stay away from the news as it makes me too horrified and crazy. I did read a good article about a lapsed Catholic who said he is beginning to really hope that there IS a hell, as he has complied quite a list of Republicans who would benefit from spending some time there. I would volunteer to chase the lot of them around with a pitchfork!

I heard on the news that a little owl was found in that tree. Fortunately, it's ok and in a rehab center now.

Poor owl. Just minding its own business, evicted from home, and now caged. 2020 sucks!

They will let him go as soon as he's recovered from his ordeal. The rehab says they have hundreds of trees and he can have his pick. In the meantime he's feasting on mice.

The owl is so precious! What a sweet lil thing. It will be well taken care of.

Trump's refusal to concede is dragging the country down, down, down. It's frustrating. As the pandemic rages out of control, the only concern the pos has is recounting votes. That's his sole focus, he has nothing else on his schedule. He acts totally oblivious of the pandemic. How does his fan base justify their continuing support for him? He is a selfish, impotent leader. He may have been given the role as leader but is incapable of filling that role. History will not be kind to Donald Trump. He will go down as the biggest failure of a president of the USA ever.

That owl is the tiny Saw-whet owl......they are small but fierce and like some small--even teacup-sized--dogs, have no idea that they're not equal in size to others...I watch a bunch of eagle's nests and one on the Channel Islands (Santa Cruz, I think) has a nice eagle's nest and the tiny Saw-whets buzz it at night without a fear in the world...owls are incredible creatures.....
