You know, I sit here reading these things and it is so amazing and in the very worst way. Then again, our dread of the orange one began long before he and Putin made sure to steal the 2016 election. I too have great hope that Biden will swear in on a camera somewhere in a VERY safe place and we can see it on the news or Internet later.
I'm also amazed at the amount of what I think may seem ( at any other time perhaps ) like nearly normal people are anything but. Reading Serenity and Trill's pieces just sends a chill down my spine. I just would like to know who is really nuts and do they need to be medicated and deprogrammed. It just astounds me.

Obviously many of these people are being found -- they made it pretty easy, but I think they possibly did much of what they did for some bragging rights and also with the idea that the end result would be more to Trump's liking. They have never gotten it !! Trump can't protect as many of them as there are and for the most part -- he doesn't care for them anymore then he cares about anyone he uses.

The insane part is, I’m not even being dramatic. It is a real possibility. Who saw the movie “The Dead Zone” with Martin Sheen and Christopher Walken? One of my very favorite films, but I well remember before the 2016 election thinking Trump was like Martin Sheen’s character. If you didn’t see it, I won’t spoil it for you, but there are chilling similarities between the real president and movie one running for president. And wasn’t the only person who thought that. There were others on the internet saying the same thing.

The reason social media can lawfully ban anyone they want? THE 1ST AMDMT. FORBIDS ONLY GOV'TS. FROM INTERFERING WITH SPEECH! Social media are PRIVATE enterprises and therefore not constrained by the 1st Amdmt. BUT it prohibits a gov't. from intefering with the free speech of private entities & individuals...unless that speech is intended to cause commission of a crime.
What I want to know is when the hell will Warnock & Ossoff be sworn in? They both won by margins twice as big as would rule out a recount. Both Loeffler & Perdue have conceded. GA is dragging its feet on certifying their elections (believe it or not, the deadline isn't even till 1/22, AFTER Biden's inauguration but could be done far sooner--is Raffensperger afraid of the MAGA mob)? It's outrageous that Moscow Mitch remains Maj. Leader. If a Mitch-led Senate sans Warner & Ossoff reconvenes 1/19, the trial could likely be rushed through without witnesses or even argument. I bet that's another reason why Raffensperger is dawdling--to prevent Trump from even the possibility of being convicted.
It is not true that an impeached Pres. loses his pension & lifelong Secret Svce. protection after leaving office. Were that true, since he's already been impeached once, he'd lose those benefits as of noon 1/20. But Bill Clinton was impeached--and still has both those lifetime benefits. No, an impeached and convicted Pres. (even if convicted after leaving office) not only loses those benefits but is forever barred from holding public office--elected or appointed.
And yes, even though he'd already be out of office and conviction wouldn't remove him, a President impeached before his term runs out CAN be convicted after he leaves office--because the "indictment" was handed down while he was still POTUS.
True that an ex-VP, even one never impeached, loses Secret Svce. protection once out of office. So you'd think that--facing multiple death threats from MAGA morons who think he's betrayed them--he'd be eager to invoke the 25th Amdmt. and become an ex-Pres. at noon on 1/20, entitled to such lifetime protection. But here's why he's willing to take that gamble by not "taking the 25th:" HE DOESN'T WANT THE GIG. He's terrified of and confused by what he's supposed to do should he be sworn in. And why those Cabinet resignations? They don't want to go on record as trying to eject Trump--because they fear for their lives. They wouldn't be eligible for Secret Svce. protection anyway, but they don't want to leave the WH with targets on their backs.

Derrick Evans, facing federal charges for entering the U.S. Capitol with a mob, has resigned from West Virginia's House of Delegates. "I hereby resign as a member of the House of Delegates, effective immediately," Evans said in a one-page letter submitted to Gov. Jim Justice and the House. The House released another statement from Evans expressing regret. "I take full responsibility for my actions, and deeply regret any hurt, pain or embarrassment I may have caused my family, friends, constituents and fellow West Virginians," Evans stated. "I hope this action I take today can remove any cloud of distraction from the state Legislature, so my colleagues can get to work in earnest building a brighter future for our state. And more importantly, I hope it helps to begin the healing process, so we can all move forward and come together as One Nation, Under God.'"Like the many others -- if you think you are going to be successful in an endeavor apparently you can just partake of this endeavor rather fully. You look on things as something being taken from you when it is a normal process which is in place to care for you and everyone else. Elections are never ( that is usually ) for just one side. They tend ( unless you elect a businessman who happens to be a lunatic ) to do something for everyone. A lot of times it is not enough, or in some cases, it favors a group that likely doesn't even need it, but it is not a one-sided thing. Nothing was stolen from you -- rather we chose someone we knew could do a much better job and not turn us into a dictatorship. If you really want to live that way -- there are several places on the globe that have dictators. Rather than disrupt what is working here -- pick out one of those. I'm sure since you want that, you and they could get along fine.
It is a little too late to offer such a nice mea culpa -- otherwise, go get your mugshot and we will all hope you may have learned something valuable. I will forgive but I'll never forget -- and it will actually take a bit more than your oops I got caught speech to help me get to that forgiveness -- which I will do for my own peace, and not necessarily yours.
