I certainly respect the differing views regarding the Rose Garden updates. As Sandy states, funding is earmarked specifically for upgrades, in this case, from a couple different groups which oversee all WH improvements, those being the private, nonprofit White House Historical Association through its White House Endowment Trust and the Committee for the Preservation of the White House.
The White House Endowment Trust is a private non-profit established to finance restoration and refurbishment at the White House, funded by private donation, through individual citizens and corporations.
The grounds of the White House are a National Park called the President's Park. The Rose Garden reno has the backing of the National Park Service. Upgrades include improved accessibility according to the American Disabilities Act guidelines.

Here is a copy of the cognitive test that Trump took. https://www.parkinsons.va.gov/resources/MOCA-Test-English.pdf

It's a dementia screening test. But we don't even know how he did on it. He's never stated his scores or presented a protocol showing his results.

Courage begins when we can admit that there is no life without some pain, some frustration; that there is no tragic accident to which we are immune; and that beyond the normal exercise of prudence we can do nothing about it. But courage goes on to see that the triumph of life is not in pains avoided, but in joys lived completely in the moment of their happening. Courage lies in never taking so much as a good meal or a day of health and fair weather for granted. It lies in learning to be aware of our moments of happiness as sharply as our moments of pain. We need not be afraid to weep when we have cause to weep, so long as we can really rejoice at every cause for rejoicing.

Hey, it's going on.

Well hoodie-hoo-hoo, look what happened to you.
I guess we are all glad that we recognize just shoving your nose up on Tromp actually won't give you much immunity no matter how proudly you claim that it will. Am I sorry for you, well only as much I would be toward anyone who acts like a box of rocks about important scientific information in the middle of a raging pandemic. In a word - nope.

There is this and there is also Pramilla Jayapal who later on hauled Barr to the woodshed and verbally took him apart a bit. She did an outstanding job and if no one else shines we will all be hearing about her later I would think. Barr ---- just looked like the fat stooge he is.

Jackie: Love your comments on Senator Jason Rapert. Sometimes the proof is in the pudding and it's his turn to have a "lived" experience that other Covid 19 patients have endured. Guess it would be really mean to make his first masked experience a ventilator one? It would leave a lasting impression. "Just desserts" (another one my mother used to say) when something we did came back to bite us.
Bill Barr needs to "stew in his own juices" as my mother used to say. He is a toady of the first order, has broken his oath to his profession and the oath of office he took when he became AG.

Pramilla Jayapal was great! She swept the floor with Barr.

OH DARN!!! Sooooooo sad, I DONT feel bad for him. Yes, a ventilator for a few weeks would be just desserts.

To all of the anti mask, anti virus, it's "all a hoax" morons, especially those in the public eye, it would behoove you to remember the old saying: "The wheels of justice turn ever so slowly, but they grind exceedingly fine".
Your turn is coming. It's just a matter of time. 😏

I feel it's only human nature to not feel sorry the Arkansas governor was hospitalized with Covid. He thought he was so smart. Well, there you go. (as my husband would say). So does he continue to say it’s a hoax? Will his supporters continue to claim it is?
And we find out Trump lied about being lined up to throw out the Yankee pitch on August 15. Lied! Because he was so jealous of Fauci! Oh, who the eff wants such a disgusting person as Trump to be leader of the U.S. That is such shit.

Herman Cain is still in the hospital with the "hoax" after attending the Tulsa rally sans mask. On oxygen. That's the consequence of ignoring science.

Um, no.

All the above fantastic -- and when did we ever need thanks ( though I'd be first to say it is nice to hear ) for doing the right thing. Yo-Yo of the orange face and gold mane never got that you were hired to do the right thing and you can barely exist if you don't get total recognition for what you do no mater how exceedingly wrong it may be. Your toadies do your work and you get to sign off on it -- no wonder you are always in trouble. You are not an original and you don't do much that is original and in my book you are an original creep that belongs in the dust bin of history after a long prison sentence.

Farther down in the article, he whines, guess they just don’t like me. Ya think

Divine, you mean AR Sen. Rapert, not the Gov. (Asa Hutchinson). AFAIK, Hutchinson instituted a mask mandate (about f-ing time) but it's the Sen. who got COVID. And I've said it before---schadenfreude is soooo temptingly delicious, but it always seems to make karma bite me in the arse. (Part of me still harbors the suspicion that my having developed ocular melanoma is small-d divine punishment for wishing Trump would drop dead).

Well, if wishing Trump were dead brings divine punishment, we're all screwed! Along with a lot of other people!

I feel pretty much the same way Ruth. If I get retribution it is usually for something I've done fairly directly and it is not divine. I also feel if I got in trouble for some or all of my wishes or if most of us did -- we would have little time for the other parts of life.
WATCH: Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal Tears Into William Barr
William Barr makes a lot of controversial decisions, but he is not frequently challenged on them. The Attorney General, like others in the Trump administration, tends to appear mostly on friendly news channels like Fox News. That changed on Tuesday when Barr was called to testify before the House Judiciary Committee. The Attorney General faced …

Sandy, thanks for the correction on state senator not governor!

Spookiesmom, here is a whole bunch of your story.
Trump Throws A Fit Because Fauci's Approval Rating Is Higher Than His
Trump threw a fit at the coronavirus briefing because Dr. Anthony Fauci has a higher approval rating on the pandemic than he does.
Read more »When people see themselves as the orange Trump does -- in the glow of intense mental and physical brilliance, I'm sure it is somewhat strange for some un-assuming Dr. ( though a wonderful scientist ) to be awarded the notice and attention. How perplexing, eh!!!

Life is a refining process. Our response to it determines whether we'll be ground down or polished up. On a piano, one person sits down and plays sonatas, while another merely bangs away at "Chopsticks." The piano is not responsible. It's how you touch the keys that makes the difference. It's how you play what life gives you that determines your joy and shine. -Barbara Johnson

Only someone as damaged as Trump could even come close to getting away with the things he often says. People in their right mind would never talk the way he does. He has gotten away with it all of his life but probably more important is that as time has gone on I feel as though he has related less and less to any real truth ( could he ever see or put a value on that ) and he has no idea of t huge amt. of feeling being generated over how he has responded to the Covid 19 pandemic. I think a recent poll described that 80% of the people in the U.S. fine his handling totally un-acceptable. He obviously doesn't see that he is NOT a likable person. He had bad habits -- like vindictiveness. A cheat and a con as well and while a number of groups have been able to ignore these things for their own gain sitting in the OO has magnified it to such a degree that it is impossible.
