Miriandra. Quite a story and I'm glad you ( though a reeal pain in the petard ) hung in there so as to sequence things from the beginning. Really got what ???Betrayal said about workers not really being so much on the A-Team if the company decided that too much was being asked of it -- never mind that it was fair and according to stated standards and practises. Workers are expendable -- another one right around the corner. You even get to pay them less and if they are new give them less vacation. It can be win-win if you can pull it off.
Glad you and your co-workers chose to put up and not shut up. Here's hoping that you will get a re-instatement.

Seems to be neck deep in something now. I think as someone said -- now possible for the Reps. to lose the Senate twice in a row for hanging onto their their idiot non-president who can't pick much of anything -- unless its losers.

I read today that a lot of Reps. themselves are not that terrifically keen on banning abortion. Not good for what ails them on slimy occasions.

My DGD(24) told me there is a rumor in Texas that the GOP wants to require women to take a pregnancy test before being “allowed” to travel out of state. If that’s not true, it’s only because Texas Republicans haven’t yet thought of it yet! She is in an ASBN program at Baylor (a fairly religious school) but tells me all her classmates are appalled by the Dobbs ruling and the treatment of women’s issues in Texas.

jkl2017. I would not feel a moment's surprise if the rumor is true. Reps. have turned themselves inside out looking for rotten inroads that they feel they have lots of permission for, from their Orange God. I also hope that there are a lot of others like your DGD and clasmates in their upset over DOBBS. The Reps are doing their level best to push us back to the dark ages almost. Not sure they ( Reps. ) have ever felt more threatened by minorites and women. I do hope it continues to be the case that far more are opposed to what they are doing than the other way around.
Lastly, I think one of the biggest mistakes you can make is trying to push women in some quiet corner somewhere. Along the way in life as things began to take a modern turn -- so did we, and I just don't talk to anyone who wishes to EVER go back to having the head of household ( most of the time seen as the man of the family ) control everything we say and do. We knew we were equal long before most men starting hearing and understanding that message. No going back now.

Really on board with the decriminalizing of having a bit of pot on you. I think we are helping people learn how to be criminal perhaps in some cases. I'm not thrilled about drugs and in many cases, un-prescribed and or illegal drugs bring you to a bad end, even if you don't end up in jail. I do though think the time, efforts, and other aspects of arresting these people, especialy if they get a sentence take away from monies better spent and less opportunity to teach someone how to be a criminal or a better one.
