Marjorie. Nobody in history has ever wanted to be Speaker than Kevin McCarthy and it is the height of joyous schadenfreude to see that sniveling weasel get his just desserts. Still, miracles could happen and Kevin could hold out but he surrendered to Paul Ryan before so he might have to eat his pride and let Jim or Marjorie become Speaker and hope for another day that will never come. I love the absolute agony and torment poor Kevin is going through right now and I am sure Hillary is sipping tea enjoying the bastard's misfortune with a salient joy we can hardly imagine. Politics hasn't been this interesting since Napoleon arrived at Waterloo.

    Dh went back to work today after a 10 day vacation over the holidays. I took my Christmas tree down today. The holidays were fun, but I'm glad things are getting back to a more normal routine.

    Great memes and I really enjoy them. While I have found it amusing to watch the 'floundering' of McCarthy and the Reps. I do also worry about how it all looks to others. We had a democracy that was envied, but we have gone to the dogs for the last 20 yrs. and the last few of that have been VERY miserable. I also find it irritating that we have HAD to fix so much that the other side has ruined and that is so true on this go around. I do hope that what is happening with them now and after a speaker is chosen will keep a huge layer of tarnish and rot there because most of these peope do not belong where they are. Too many are imposters. They are not at all what America needs and certainly doesn't want.
