Divine, perhaps these people prefer the scantily clad, former, fake FLOTUS who did nothing but tear things down like the Loon she is married too. She was not able to temper the disaster that he was and only added to it from her end. She ended up being Mrs. Loon more than anything else. Certainly, did not ADD anything of class or value to the title she did not and could not earn. Some people seem to insist on being stupid. and people like M. Kelly is at the top of the list along with so many others on the right. I do see them as jealous types who the last few yrs. feel it appropriate to bull shit their way along rather then work for it like Dr. Biden did from thel beginning.

Sure looks that way, huh, Ruth?? I do think he is closer than he has ever been to NOT being above the law, and I try not to think of the lines I've read that indicate that maybe Garland is moving slow so that someone else (think Fani Willis here) can indict the Loon first and take the heat and fallout from actually being the first. I don't care so much who is first, as long as we don't have to wait too much longer. I just hope any case that is brought results in whatever penalties can be given and that they are ALL the maximum amounts. It is I think, more difficult to watch people like the Loon and now George Santos walk around enjoying all that we do, when it is clear and has been (especially in the Loon's case) that the breaking of norms and laws has been going on forever in their existences. The rest of us have to wrestle with our consciences. while the Loon walks around and desn't even have one.

I am posting a second entry since it was far afield of the one just above. Was just going to say I haven't avoided the news as such but am only mainly watching in the morning a bit, and in the late evenings. So -- just mainly going with MSNBC. For many reasons, but the biggest one is the Nichols case. The couple of times I saw the video of his beating just was a hideous, horrible thing. Just to begin with, in most cases I would never condone a fight with one being against several like this ( and it is not the first time) was. What happens inside of people in a group who seem to get pleasure and satisfaction out of administering an intense beating to anyone? How is it that some police agencies appear to make monsters out of some of their officers while others are not affected apparently. Is something being missed when these people are accepted as recruits/rookie officers. It always sounds like a great deal of things need to be changed, but somehow these changes don't seem to materialize.
So I have been avoiding the news. I'm sick to the nth degree of people like the Loon and Soros in particular, and a whole lot of the Reps. in general and it seems it might be easier just not to involve myself in as much news as I was taking in, with the side benefit of not having so much repetition.

Jackie, you raise good questions when it comes to group mentality of police officers. I guess so many of are raised wanting to believe that in the worst moments, at least one person will do the right thing when everyone else is doing wrong, but that simply isn’t the case.
What gets me about the Republicans trying to discredit Dr. Jill Biden is they were always touting Melania as knowing a bunch of languages, but she actually didn’t. And she plagiarized and copied speeches and event themes and almost never seemed to have one single stinkin’ original idea of her own.

The meme about "the system did more to stop people from protesting" has good intent and makes a true statement about the laissez-faire attitude of "peace keepers" at the Capitol, but diminishes the movement in honor of Tyre's murder. The Nichols family called for peaceful responses, and that's exactly what protestors did. Vigils and protests were held in almost every major city. But you didn't hear much about them because no fighting broke out. The level of restraint and higher ground that has been shown in response to yet another horrific display of systemic brutality is awe inspiring.

I’m not sure why the Tucker, Megyn Kelly and other conservative media are going after Dr. Biden. She was Dr. Biden while President Biden was VP and had been Dr. Biden since earning her PHD in 2007. Not sure why this has become a hot button for the faux news. Maybe M&Ms isn’t riling up the base enough?
