I too love the memes. Sure does highlight the hard-headed and totally stupid Reps. Then again, if they did have the capacity to stand back and look at and hear what they are really saying they still wouldn't see how out of step they are because they just plain don't want too. They are determined to not let anyone get in the way of their quest for greed and power. So, like the Loon, if they are out of step they just keep moving. Sort of makes me wonder how they brush their teeth and comb their hair in the morning and manage not to see themselves in the mirror. Quite a trick.

spookie, thanks for thinking of me! I am good, the train derailment is about 45 minutes directly north of me in the next county. We aren’t getting any kind of air pollution downwind from it or anything. What a story, tho. East Palestine is a tiny, depressed town, and that the story made national headlines is pretty amazing. We heard the derailment was caused by a faulty axle though I am waiting to learn more to confirm that.
I still pop in and read here but have been a bit busy. Dh is fixing to retire in a couple months so we’re getting our ducks in order, and I’ve had some cardiology appts and tests due to high blood pressure. Heart issues run in the family so I’m glad to be getting it checked out. Medicine has the bp under control which is great, and since starting it, I seem to have more stamina which may be another reason I’m on the go a bit more.
I am looking forward to Biden’s state of the union address. I do wish our administration could do something to bring the high price of everything down as I think that might be one of the biggest things Dems will be up against in future elections.

Divine, my niece suffered a brain injury in a car accident and one of the rehab facilities she went to was in Lisbon, Ohio. It's now more of a nursing home, and I've been wondering if they've had to evacuate.

Glad to hear all is good. When a story from Ohio pops up I always read, and knew you were close. There was one last week from Wyoming Ohio. That’s where my mom grew up, and the article didn’t say it’s a suburb of Cincinnati.

Glad you ae okay Divine and not having direct problems from a railroad issue. It was close though, wasn't it. I keep my eye on a lot of the Ohio news but must have missed the derailment. I tend to see most the amt. of accidents, shootings and other events of that nature.
I'm looking forward to the State of the Union as well. It is going to remain somewhat difficult for us as long as prices are at too hefty a level. I hope that at every turn possible Biden makes it clear that the GOOD and POSITIVE things that have taken place have been done by the left and most any that were or remain problems are due to the right not doing anything. It needs to be front and center that the right is spending their time in foolish investigations that have pretty much long ago un-covered the facts thoroughly and the only reason to re-do is so you can present whatever slanted view you can dream up. Need to drive it home that we are working for the people not having vindictive investigations

Pingpong, my 94 year old mother in law lives in Lisbon with her daughter. At this point, they haven’t been affect by the derailment. Lisbon is about 20 minutes west of East Palestine. I hope your niece was able to recover from the brain injury.

Ruth, love the Sanders photo. Of course, I hated her rebuttal. She often lied when she worked at the WH because she worked for a very sick liar. I think Pres. Biden did quite a fantastic job. Made the Reps look and sound as bad as they are. Kevin McCarthy should be quite angry and MTG who helped him look the fool quite nicely.
Back to Sanders -- almost sounded to me like she was running for something herself. There again, mainly lies and I didn't quite get her anecdotal references. Sorry you had throat cancer and we will hope Arkansas is glad they didn't lose such a charming ( burp) female Governor to it.
I noted MTG making a show of it and Ted Cruz shaking his head several times. I hope there were at least a couple of Reps. who were embarrassed at how their party now thinks is a great way to behave at a SOTU address. They seem truly helpless.
