There are some places where freedom of speech goes a bit far. I do think such disrespect should have a price. No one I know turned on their t.v. hoping to hear from the likes of Greene.

The Reps. are being the most amazing people. They have grudges and that is all they can focus on. Anything else is simply not worth their time. It still feels so difficult to understand THAT amount of cluelessness. They are having things explained to them like they are school children during their get-even and find out why you have chosen to lie and try to cheat us hearings. You know -- the ones Jim Jordan is master-minding. Well, so far, it turns out that they have actually been the TRUE culprit and they don't really know what to do and hope it looks like some sort of accident that it came out that way. They don't seem to get how much is likely to actually kewep coming out that way. They don't get that our focus has always been not to stop them on their way to being self destructive. They are doing a fine job.

"Ted Cruz and Marjorie Taylor Greene might not have liked it much, but President Joe Biden exceeded expectations with his State of the Union address. Hecklers tried but failed to knock him off his game. His signature empathy infused the hour-plus speech, and at the end there was little doubt this 80-year-old man isn't done yet," wrote Bailey. "As the celebratory afterparty rolled on in the U.S. House chamber, Gov. Sarah Sanders commandeered TV screens to darken the mood. Excerpts her office shared earlier in the day hinted Sanders' speech would include her standard snarling about wokeness and the radical left. No surprises there."
Among other things, Sanders claimed that a "woke mob" was taking over the United States, and under Biden, "we must partake in their rituals, salute their flags and worship their false idols." She even claimed that when Trump was president, she sort of felt like she was in the military, when she wasn't.
The speech, wrote Bailey, was "a word salad of talking points and name calling, with some attempts at folksy relatability thrown in," that was "light on policy, heavy on menace."

Bailey also criticized Sanders for claiming that Democrats started the culture wars when she "[launched a] skirmish against transgender people unprovoked," for championing the bravery of the Little Rock Nine while touting a school voucher program "all but guaranteed to worsen segregation in Arkansas schools along racial and socioeconomic lines," and for blaming Biden for drug crises around the country when "suffering families didn't seem to bother her before."
Sanders' speech has been largely panned around the country, with MSNBC's Joe Scarborough calling it "dystopian," and Lincoln Project co-founder Steve Schmidt accusing her of "abusing" America.

Republican Rep. Nancy Mace (S.C.) roasted prominent members of her own party Wednesday at the annual Washington Press Club Foundation Congressional Dinner.
The fundraising dinner was billed as an evening of "lighthearted quips," but Mace's digs were anything but. And she managed to bash House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and ex-President Donald Trump in the same one-liner about McCarthy's contortions to win the speakership last month.
"I haven't seen someone assume that many positions to appease the crazy Republicans since Stormy Daniels," said Mace, referring to the adult film actor who accused Trump of having an affair with her in 2006.
Mace later made a jab at Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), who she recently branded a "fraud." Gaetz helped lead Freedom Caucus radicals who opposed McCarthy's speakership until he promised concessions.
"Well, let's be honest. We all knew that Matt Gaetz would never let the vote get to 18," said Mace. The joke about Gaetz's alleged sexual relationship with a 17-year-old drew shocked reactions from the crowd.
"I do have a message for Matt this evening. He really, really wanted to be here tonight, but he couldn't find a babysitter — to be his date, I mean. Come on."
