    Ruth, I could not agree more. I am so tired of the disinformation channel -- and any news program set up solely for the same.

    We may think that happiness is a result of happy circumstances. A more mature view of happiness is that it is a by-product of sharing our good and serving others. It is a sense of doing a job well, honest communication with another, visiting someone who may be ill, or sharing a sense of humor. Happiness is a spiritual principle that we can lay hold of and use, regardless of outer conditions or circumstances.

    It isn't necessary to wait for circumstances to bring happiness. When we try to give it to others, it returns to us multiplied. We can make our own joy, and let it act upon circumstances! One of the great paradoxes of truth is that a happy heart draws to itself what it needs for happiness.

    Guess all are happy it is Friday and the news cycles will slow down. By that I mean more that I hope some of this week's stories can be let go. I am tired of the 24 hr. cable news more than anything. We still mainly only watch once in the morning and my Dh turns it on at night. Many times, I come to my computer and don't watch much at night save for Lawrence O'Donnell.

    Not sure how to feel about the Loon's grand jury. We have all waited so long for one of the crookedess of people ever alive to get not only caught but dealt with for the betterment of society as well as upholding ALL wrongdoers to their just deserts for it. He only got off so often in my mind because he was so stupidly brazen. Some might say because he was 'rich' even though he has never told the truth about that any more than anything else. I think it just happens to be a trait that seems to me to be common to sociopaths. I've known a couple of people who had no money at all and while they got caught up with -- it happened way later than it should have.

    I think I've been avoiding a lot of the news and likely will continue until the Loon gets some decent come-uppance. The wait is wearing and while I don't know what will happen for sure I'd like to think the news cycle will get a bit more informative and closer to how things really are instead of playing the ratings game so much.

    Spookie -- your so right. I have lost it. It is Thurs. and I hate to admit -- Thurs afternoon and Dh has turned the news back on early. So, I've come to the computer to get away from it. It's raining or I'd go out for a long walk. It is going to be a really lolng week-end for me now. I think tomorrow I may have to go take a long walk through Goodwill and Big Lots.
