The comments about Holocaust deniers reminded me of an experience I had in 1974, while living in Germany. My ex and I were traveling with friends to Garmisch and detoured to stop in Dachau. As we neared the town, we stopped several people and asked for directions to the camp/memorial. We were met with shrugs and blank stares until we asked a young boy on his bicycle. He motioned for us to follow him and quickly led us to the camp. Seeing the facilities preserved there and the larger-than-life sized photographs of what the military found when they liberated Dachau was something I will never forget. Nor will I forget that the locals wanted to deny that anything had taken place there.

If y'all are looking for an interesting take on the American Jewish experience during WWII, my grandmother wrote her biography - more her "family story", as she put it. "On the Sidewalk of the War" is about her growing up and helping her father, Dick Gutstadt, with his efforts with B'nai B'rith to bring over Jewish refugees and with his founding of the Jewish Anti-Defamation League. (Just a heads up, the last chapter gets a bit esoteric, as Gramma believed she had an alien abduction experience. Other than that, it's a fascinating read.)

Claiming self-reliance represents one of the most significant turning points in a human being's evolution. It signals the crucial shift from dependence on outer authority to reliance on inner knowing.

Well, I hope this is true but obviously mainly about the full retraction. I'm taking by full they hopefully mean that Fox will be full-throated with their viewers. I actually think many of those people will somehow not believe it. Then again. I do have to wonder what might it do to Fox. Their whole reason for existence is to be able to re-publish news and views to skewer it far to the right and leaving honesty out of it. Also no qualms to use nebulous materials/conspiracies.

I hope this will happen but that trial won't come real soon.

I do think those that come after Dominion may all suffer a fate they might like to avoid. Here's hoping.

May be a graphic of text that says 'Middle Age Riot @middleageriot Six good reasons for imposing a binding code of ethics on the Supreme Court: Clarence Thomas John Roberts Samuel Alito Neil Gorsuch Brett Kavanaugh Amy Coney Barrett'

Should have been this way a long time ago. Why should only these few people get the privilege of no one checking up on ethics and morals. Especially in this day and age. I am also wondering again about life-time appts. We have come a lot way and seems to me some positive changes should come.

"Love is stronger than differences. We all live on the same planet. We walk on the same earth. We breathe the same air. No matter where I was born, no matter what color skin I have or what religion I was raised to believe in, everything and everyone is connected to this one life. I no longer choose to prejudge others, to feel either superior or inferior."

Ruth - love the color test. As you might imagine since I'm in Texas - I need a new governor. (although I expect the test was prepared for Florida).

I hope it will not stay in active topics. We are letting off steam (alot of it) and I can imagine if just anyone could go to OUR spot. I would certainly hope their is not a rel plan to leave it exposed like that.
