If they took up a collection that would guarantee that the loon would retire from politics and made it legally binding, I would contribute in a heartbeat. What a whiny asshat who thinks the only news has to be about him. True journalism would not provide him with the platform he seeks. So as far as I am concerned the only fake news is what we read about him or hear about him on a nauseating daily basis. Makes me want to vomit.

How anyone, regardless of their political ideology can think how he treats people is okay is beyond me.

*I don't think 'under oath' means anything to him. I don't think he even understands the concept!

Trumpā€™s Lawyers Send Cryptic Letter to Merrick Garland to ā€˜Request a Meeting at Your Earliest Convenienceā€™

Story by Michael LucianoĀ ā€¢Ā 34m ago

Attorneys forĀ Donald TrumpĀ fired off a letter to Attorney GeneralĀ Merrick GarlandĀ to request a meeting to complain about how the Department of Justice has treated the former president and request a meeting.

The letter comes amid reports that Special CounselĀ Jack SmithĀ isĀ finishingĀ his investigation into Trumpā€™s retention of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago residence after he left the White House. Smith has also been probing the former presidentā€™s efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

TrumpĀ postedĀ the correspondence on his Truth Social platform on Tuesday night:

    Dear Attorney General Garland:

We represent Donald J. Trump, the 45th President of the United States, in the investigation currently being conducted by the Special Counselā€™s Office. Unlike President Biden, his son Hunter, and the Biden family, President Trump is being treated unfairly. No President of the United States has ever, in the history of our country, been baselessly investigated in such an outrageous and unlawful fashion. We request a meeting at your earliest convenience to discuss the ongoing injustice that is being perpetrated by your Special Counsel and his prosecutors.

Thank you for your attention to this matter

The letter is signed by Trumpā€™s lawyers, John Rowley and Jim Trusty, but given its tone, itā€™s likely the former president had a hand in drafting it.

Some notable lawyers claim there isĀ enough evidenceĀ in the documents case to charge Trump with obstruction,Ā includingĀ Ty Cobb, who served as an attorney in the Trump White House.

In June 2022, another attorney for TrumpĀ signedĀ a letter to the DOJ stating that to her knowledge, no government documents remained at Mar-a-Lago after officials retrieved some from the property earlier in the year. That turned out to be false, as Augustā€™s FBIĀ raidĀ of the property showed.

Well guys, it has the wacko whiner's fingerprints all over it. Of course, these lawyers (that would be the ones not yet smart enough to quit on the Loon) got put up to it. Were they to get the meeting they have requested bully for them but I think no matter what it is going to amt. to a zero ā€” even if the Loon thinks he scored.

At this point, his best chance to get treated all right(he doesn't know what fair is because he has never been up against it like this) would be to go somewhere, and wait until the trials and or further indictments come.

As to how he is treated as a former president we are all aware (even if a lg,. portion of people completely disregard it) that he was given magnificent leeway while he twisted our government agencies into something almost unrecognizable. He also took a heavy, heavy hand into an insurrection when other wild schemes to steal the election failed. Perhaps Garland will let the Loon's lawyers know that the DOJ's office likely would have spent little time on their client had he treated the office as the majority of other presidents have rather than disgrace and defile it.

As to Pres. Biden and family. They did not start out with the reputation of reality star/con artist and all the rest of Loon baggage. On what basis would the Biden's be investigated anyway. Client Loon goes on Truth Social rants or tv interviews admitting his guilt and then complains that he is being unlawfully investigated.

Shame on those lawyers ā€” who when they actually aren't able to exonerate their client are going to get stiffed for their earnings and will have ruined their reputations in the meantime. If you were to take a Democrats advice, I'd be telling you to run, don't walk to the nearest exit and head for the hills. Get as far away from the Loon as you can and stay there.

This one didn't hold back and I recognize a sentiment or two in there myself.

Why donā€™t the Trumpers ever get sick of his constant tirades? Why do people want to live in that constant kind of turmoil where youā€™re angry at everyone all the time?

A couple weeks ago while dh and I were sitting on the back porch, our Maga neighbor stopped over all in a huff. Heā€™d been at the police dept for an hour, filling them in on what he considered some suspicious person who visited their church during a Sunday service. Neighbor was all worked up, talking about how many people in their congregation carry a gun, yadda yadda yadda. We let him talk. There was nothing concrete whatsoever that this person in church was there to do any harm. But Neighborā€™s imagination along with his addiction to Fox news apparently likes to make up worst case scenarios in his mind and freak out about it. Anyway, after awhile the conversation finally shifted to lots of casual stuff because dh and I arenā€™t all wrapped up in guns and Fox news. By the time neighbor left he was all calmed down and in a good mood. Too bad he canā€™t make the connection that it was his two liberal agnostic neighbors who were the ones who led him in that direction and not any of the far right congregants of his church.

In our whole life melody the music is broken off here and there by rests, and we foolishly think we have come to the end of time. God sends a time of forced leisure, a time of sickness or disappointed plans, and makes a sudden pause in the hymns of our lives, and we lament that our voices must be silent and our part missing in the music which ever goes up to the ear of our Creator. Not without design does God write the music of our lives. Be it ours to learn the time and not be dismayed at the rests. If we look up, God will beat the time for us.Ā Ā Ā Ā  -John Ruskin

My dog Arlo is so obsessed about where all the other dogs go to the bathroom. He could be the governor of Florida.

Ruthbru: Did you get a second dog? I thought your dog's name was Bruno?

    Love the Wanda Sykes meme.

Elon Musk's mother is more masculine looking than he is. Love how Ron has insured he can collect a governor's salary as he collects campaign funds, too. Surprised that the citizens of FL think this is legal since they are inadvertently supporting his campaign. He must be super man if he thinks he can run the state and for president at the same time. He sounds more and more like Hitler on a daily basis for those who listen to his rhetoric. His plan to "reconstitutionalize" DC is scary. I am not sure he knows what the Constitution is all about but I guess he plans on passing his version.
