Like many families, some of the issues they have faced are somewhat normal. I think there were difficulties for all the Bidens when the mother was lost so early on. That Hunter, the youngest, seemed to have struggled the most. is understandable. and I do commend him for getting a hold of himself. I don't agree with most of what he did, and I think he actually looks the worst for it, but he has done a good job in staying 'clean' and trying to be a credit to his dad and keep his actions as separate from his Dad's as possible.
Unfortunately, it does give the Reps. something they can use ALL the time. I hope Hunter continues to make it through the treachery.

The Loon should look within his own family before he casts stones. I think that Jr has an issue with drugs as well but has been able to keep it from being capitalized on. Only this could explain how he acts and the choices he makes including his choice of what appears to be a perpetual engagement to another radical being.
Surprised he hasn't suggested that Melania be considered for the former first lady Barbie.

Cardplayer,t he Loon and saying that January 6 a government staged riot. Indeed, and you were the head of it then. I think lately there have been other inexplicable oral mishaps with the Loon. I've heard a number of times that some of his people have tried to be so careful letting him 'out' because he is now prone to these mistakes.
As well I've read that his deep narcissism actually cases him to defend himself although the defense statements only tend to make it more evident that he has been up to no good. It is why I presume that he often tells on himself with nary an instance what-so-ever of doubt about his statements being effective at exoneration when they do the opposite.
I keep thinking due to these things that ultimately, he won't even make it to the primaries. He is a loose cannon who has incredibly bad lawyers and the missteps between now and the primaries is a huge amt. of space full of potential land mines.

I hope they are correct, and it does happen. The suspense is getting to me. OTOH, I do realize that it will set off another way too long spell of great speculation where every one of the anchors on cable news will take their turns at presentations. All that will come before there is even an un-sealing which will further set off another chain reaction.
Still, I'm anxious to get it on the Loon's side. I still feel like he has been allowed such levity for the myriad crimes he has committed and the mayhem he has perpetrated on Americans. He needs several more coats of tarnish on his way to the hoosegow.

It’s been a busy summer, my dh retired in May and while it’s nice, it’s a change in my routine and I always need time to adjust when that happens. Our two grandkids, ages 12 and 14, just spent the week with us. It was wonderful and now I’m playing catch up on other things. I keep up to date on this thread even if I don’t always post. I’m glad to read Ron Howard’s comments. I wish more people would pay attention to him than DT. I’d love to see Trump get his just dues, but like you said Jackie, he seems to be given a lot of leeway for all his crimes. Republicans just look the other way.
I’m hoping to go see Oppenheimer with ds if we can fit it into our schedules. Would love to hear what you liked about it, Ruth. And can you elaborate on the Ted Cruz/Barbie comment? Despite tons of marketing before it came out, I had no idea the Barbie movie takes on the patriarchy. I had actually thought it had a totally opposite storyline! I probably won’t go to the theater to see it but now definitely plan to watch it when it comes to one of the streaming platforms.

It is always good to hear from you Divine. I love to hear how you see things. I think most of us here are pretty much in nearly full agreement on everything.
That has been made easier and easier for us by likes of the Loon and all his Reps. worshipers and I looking directly right now of those who are currently in government. Just this morning I'm hearing (once more) impeachment talk for Pres. Biden. How small and vindictive the Reps. have become — and since nothing seems to be working for them, it appears to be time, and this time it's actually McCarthy putting the possibility of impeachment forward.
So far, nothing much has been found and what is said to have been not backed up by honest verifiable people and information. Some whistle blowers have fallen off the side of the Earth and can't be found and another is a known criminal with who knows what odd motive. Yet, it wouldn't be a big surprise to me if they attempt to put something together. I will say this: it certainly would take some of the focus off of the Loon which is why in part, but I'm sure many have come to believe the possibility exists of un-known wrong-doing.
I'm sure you can hear my sigh — all the way to your house and beyond.
