    PSA

Since the new platform was unveiled earlier this past spring, there has been a small problem with this thread. I do not know if this affects others . I have (had actually as I was asked to delete all my bookmarks for a separate issue) noticed that in bookmarks the date of most recent post is unchanged since 4/23/23 (date new site debuted) and the thread title does not highlight to indicate unread posts. I have brought this up with the mods, at least twice, and was informed today that they will not be fixing this issue 🤷🏻‍♀️. In the greater scheme of things it’s not major but indicates a certain lack of respect IMHO.

Hmmm exbrnxgrl, that is interesting. I haven't noticed your problem, but so far a problem I turned in has been ignored. It is that every time I open to the bookmarks page (guess it's the ? home page) I get a message that I need to update my signature/diagnosis. There is nothing wrong with my sig/dx. It shows up so is obviously there and nothing has changed about it.

That leads to the question — if they are not fixing these things — then what is being fixed. Far as I know I've seen no changes despite some pretty darn good 'change 'suggestions. Things that were in fact pretty standard and didn't seem like they would be so hard to do. Like making the avatars slightly bigger and doing something to delineate a bit better the ending of one and beginning of the next entry.

I wonder if we could ask for a list of items that will be addressed. That way we won't have to waste our time or theirs'.

Don Jr. Got Roasted Straight To Hell And Back After Late-Night Show Host Noticed Empty Picture Frames In The Background Of Jr.’s Unhinged Rant Video: “Those Are Pictures Of His Friends”

    Oof. That's embarrassing.

    by Andrea Thompson17 mins ago17 mins ago678ShareTweet

The scandal-ridden ex-president’s eldest son and namesake got roasted to Hell and back recently, after late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel noticed something rather peculiar in the background of one of Don Jr.’s recent unhinged rants on his little podcast-style show, “Triggered.”

On an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the popular late-night host played a clip of Donald Trump Jr.’s recent tirade, in which he did all the customary screaming and raving that puts you in mind of a literal drug addict, that we’ve come to expect from the ex-president’s oldest son. But there was one particular detail that Kimmel picked up on in the background of Junior’s rant that left him so tickled, he couldn’t help but point it out to his audience during the segment.

If you pay close attention to the clip, there are not one, but two empty picture frames sitting on the bookshelf behind Junior in the background of his podcast show episode.

Kimmel played a very small clip of Junior’s show before cutting back and quipping, “Those are pictures of his friends.”

“Showing off all the fun times he had with Dad when he was a kid,” the late-night talk show host added, for good measure.

From Balance of Power:“Nominating Donald Trump for the Republican Party is a lot like peeing in your pants, right? It’s gonna feel good for a couple of seconds, but then you wake up and realize the realities of what you just did.”-

    Conservatives Are Destroying Our Future

7h  · I'm calling it now. Trump will pull a Bill Cosby and all of a sudden have all these health problems so a jury won't send an old unhealthy man to prison. I'm extremely empathic, but if you do the crime, you do the time regardless of your age or health condition.–mk

This is a website I use for memes. I would find it interesting if he did do this since he doesn't want to admit anything and that may go for health issues as well. But then again, if he thought he would truly end up in prison who knows for sure.

    OPINION,REPORTED OPINION

SKINT: Trump NEEDS a refund from his own PAC to pay his legal bills

    BY JASON MICIAKJULY 31, 2023

Donald Trump, the billionaire who refuses to pay a measly $60 million in legal fees out of his own money, is now desperately trying to move money back from his old post-2021 PAC that gave his current campaign PAC $60 million.

The old PAC can pay his legal fees. (Maybe legally). The campaign PAC cannot.

Of course, all of these millions come from small-dollar donations often made by people who really cannot afford to spend the money.

The payments that come from the very same people are often fooled into donations to pay legal fees (thinking they are helping the campaign).

These tactics perfectly support Chris Christie’s accusation that Trump is the cheapest man he’s ever been around and that Trump is only good at spending other people’s money.

Trump has enough property and cash to pay for his own defense (and that of many others).

Moving the money from one PAC to another comes as an absolute necessity as Trump’s legal fees scream upward.

You would be glad then to keep your distance from the current batch of Reps. Especially those from Reagan on.

Jordan and Comer et'al (if I spelled that right) made giant breathless (since they thought they were about to get some great dirt on Biden and Hunter) asses of themselves again. They are wasting everyone's time and money —— and when they are found to be wrong they should have to fork over for the cost of those hearings. Wong since most people understand this is the Loon's vindictivitiveness at play anyway.

None of the threads I go on (which is, sadly, very few any more) are updated….at least on any sort of regular basis that I can figure out. I'm not happy that I can't log in on my phone either.

DH said if he were the boss of the world, he would be willing to drop all charges against Trump if he never was allowed to run for any office ever again, and if he were forced to keep his mouth completely shut on all issues. One can only dream!

I could even go along with that Ruth. I'd like to see the guy broke as well but guess we can't have it all. Not having to hear from him would indeed be a blessing.

Perhaps the Loon will use the flat feet problem that kept him out of Vietnam and the military in spite of the fact that he did not have this issue while a student at the military academy he attended. He actually led his school in a NYC parade.

Loved that Jimmy Kimmel nailed Don, Jr. the other family moron.

Loved all the memes but my top favorite was the cat one! That really sunk home with another cat lover.

Haha, I loved the cat meme, too! Your flat feet comment made me laugh as well, betrayal. The press seems to love the Florida gov candidate and imo, they’re trying to turn him into DT 2.0. They are only after ratings. I swear the media is owned by foreign enemy countries of the U.S.

The Hunter Biden story drags on. It’s all the Reps have to try to run Joe into the mud. Kinda like Hillary’s emails. Meanwhile, look at the Reps former leader. How can they even. I’d love to believe Ted Lieu that the House will flip, but I have my fears. Would love to see DT hit the fan but have my doubts.

Exbrnxgrl, I understand your frustration with the lack of corrections to the newest platform. I don’t use the bookmarks link but instead use the bell up in the top righthand corner which displays the number of replies to threads I have bookmarked. I open it to click on the threads. Occasionally it has a glitch but mostly it’s correct.

…However, I still have to sign in each and every single time I visit the forum. Even if I click off and want to get back on a couple seconds later, I must re-log on. It is beyond frustrating. I, too, reported it several times to no avail, no response. This log on issue started with the previous forum upgrade. With original platform, I could stay logged in for weeks at a time. I’d hoped the new upgrade would resolve the issue but no. It seems not everyone has this log in problem so I figure I am stuck with it. Oh joy

What happens to us on the journey of life is not nearly as important as how we handle what happens. Life sometimes takes unexpected twists and turns that can throw us off course for a time. We may have experienced an unhappy childhood in a broken home or with parents who were alcoholics. We may have been considered the "black sheep," the one who just never fit in with the others. Almost anyone can find reasons for not doing as well as he or she thinks they should have. The key to successful living, however, is to learn from our experiences, good and bad, and go on from there. If we choose, we can try to move forward and forge the kind of life we desire to live in spite of some of the falls we may have taken.

Love the shirt and had to laugh about the cursive because I once had a student who told me there was no need to ever learn cursive since he could print and type. Hope that works for him but to this day I relish receiving a handwritten message. Try asking a someone who has not learned to read a "hands" clock what quarter of the hour means in regards to time…they can't do it.

I can do math in my head faster than some can do it with a calculator and could calculate medication dosages this way much to the chagrin of the staff nurses on my floor. I would not let them use my calculations though and told them it was their responsibility to do their own calculations. They were amazed that I did not use a calculator. Couldn't be bothered with lugging one around and making sure it was within reach. They were always in search for one.

Exbrnxgrl- I experience the same issue intermittently, where I return to comments from 4/23/23 (release date). I haven’t figured out why it happens or the pattern, but it’s quite annoying.
