The Washington Post report concludes, “Digital World needs 65 percent of the shares held by its nearly 400,000 investorsto vote 'yes' on the deadline extension; unvoted shares are counted as 'no' votes. If the extension fails, Digital World said in a filing in July that it would 'cease all operations except for the purpose of winding up' and repay investors at a price of about $10.24 per share — far below what many shareholders paid. Trump, who would retain his 90 percent ownership of Trump Media if the deal falls apart, has yet to make mention of the shareholder vote on his own Truth Social account. Truth Social has attracted a relatively meager following. Though Trump Media projected in a 2021 investor presentation that the site would have 41 million total users by the end of this year, usage estimates suggest that it is a long way from reaching that goal."That’s right. Dh hates how often people around here speak in favor of DT. He does not engage in the conversation, staying silent. Today he had enough. He was at the pool and another frequent pool-goer guy made a favorable DT comment, and dh calmly and firmly said, “Trump’s a dick. He’s a dick.” and he said, “all the stuff that comes out of Trump’s mouth and the way he was complicit in the attack on the Capital, he’s a dick”. Dh said a few more things about how he did not like Trump.
Well, I wasn’t there. Calling Trump a dick is the strongest word dh will use in public, but I was proud of him for finally speaking up. He said the other guy was surprised but did not argue. I told dh he needs to speak up like that more often.

Good for your Dh, Divine. For a variety of reasons many of us get stuck having to listen to things we know are NOT the case at all about Trump. Just yesterday my bil said that Trump was a nice man. My Dh was talking to him at the time and basically let him get away with it.
I would have said, if that is your idea of a nice man, then all the people I know are horrible lousy people w/o any redeeming qualities and your one of them. Nice men don't talk about injecting bleach because they've let so many people die they feel they have to do or say something. Nice people don't start and condone insurrections. Nice men don't con people out of money to pay for their legal fees and nice men don't throw their kids under the bus to save themselves. But if you want to think that Trump is nice — go ahead but do me the favor of never saying a stupid thing like that around me again.
