A BAD DAY FOR DONALD:Donald's lawsuit against the judge in his fraud case has been REJECTED by the Appeals Court.Donald's lawyers accused Justice Arthur F. Engoron of ignoring an earlier decision that could have barred evidence from the case. There are a few reasons this is a big deal. Donald will, of course, attempt to appeal the NY decision, so it's great to see his first attempt nuked from orbit. Looks like it’s time to hide the ketchup at Mar-a-Lago which may very shortly be for sale at the very reasonable price of $18 to $27.6 million.

Got his ass whooped by Democrats and on social media for this statement and quickly reversed course. Meanwhile if "not independently wealthy" is having less than the 3 to 8 million he is estimated to be worth, that would include me. He is a former Silicon Valley tech and then into Wall Street investments, how can he claim to be poor? He will now forego his $174, 000 salary which most middle American wage earners would consider a wonderful salary. What a piece of inhumanity!

We can spend our lives letting the world tell us who we are.
Sane or insane. Saints or sex addicts. Heroes or victims.
Letting history tell us how good or bad we are. Letting our
past decide our future. Or we can decide for ourselves. And
maybe it's our job to invent something better.

Freedom does not mean the right to do whatever we please,
but rather to do as we ought. The right to do whatever we
please reduces freedom to a physical power and
forgets that freedom is a moral power.

The local news station just aired a clip about a homeowner’s Halloween display in Indiana. She put up two 12 foot skeletons dressed so one “resembles” Taylor Swift and the other, her alleged boyfriend, NFL football player Travis Kelce. The homeowner is a big fan of Taylor and wanted to pay tribute to her wildly popular Eras tour this year. What I totally loved was the big old flag the Travis skeleton is holding:
The homeowner, who puts up a different display every year, also said reaction has been very positive.
By the way, Travis Kelce made a terrific, humorous “get your Covid vaccine” commercial which I love (see below). I’m not often bowled over by celebrity status men, but Travis is hot! The ad is in direct contrast to entitled white male NFL player, quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who made headlines last year for misleading the public about his vaccine status saying he was immunized, but it was found he lied, turns out and a big controversy ensued.

We had a wonderful wedding weekend. Here's DS & his beautiful bride. The last of my company left late this afternoon, so I suppose it's time to get back to reality......

What a lovely picture Ruth. They look quite happy, and I hope it is one of their favorite "'love" in total bloom keepsake memory pictures.

The Lincoln Project Runs Ad At Manhattan Courthouse and Trump Tower Calling Trump A Broke LoserThe Lincoln Project has a new ad calling Trump a broke loser.
The Lincoln Project is running a new ad at the Manhattan courthouse and Trump Tower reminding the former president that he is a broke loser.
An announcer speaks directly to Trump and says:
Oh Donald, you’re broke and busted. A fraud, a con, a low rent rip-off artist. We’ve always known it, so have you. Now America knows it. The courts are shutting down your crooked shell companies in New York. Bank fraud, insurance fraud, you know those are crimes, right, Donald?
They’re dissolving the whole Trump Organization scam right from under you. Bankruptcy won’t save you this time. You’ll have to sell off everything. You might even lose control of that dump, Trump Tower. No one will lend you money, Donald. They won’t even let you hand it over to Junior or Eric. Nevermind Ivanka, she hates you. Everything you ever built was built on a lie. You were never rich, never successful. New York is laughing at you. Always has, always will. And now, everyone knows it. Broke, busted, the loser in chief.
According to a statement from The Lincoln Project provided to PoliticusUSA, the ad will run digitally at the courthouse in Manhattan and Trump Tower. It will also air later in the week on Fox in Mar-A-Lago.
Trump spent the first day of his trial fuming, raging, and going off on incoherent rants outside the courtroom. Trump didn’t have to show up for the civil case, but the fact that he did shows how much getting exposed as a fraud has gotten under his skin.
The Lincoln Project ad is the sort of political advertising that more Americans need to see.
Enough of the country fell for Trump’s con to get him barely elected once. The majority of the country needs to spread messages like this one to make sure that it doesn’t happen again.

The Most Devastating Thing To Happen To Trump Today Didn't Occur In Manhattan
While Trump's fraud trial is at the top of the news, it was a statement by his former chief of staff that was devastating for the former president.

Trump Fraud Gets Exposed, But Not In A Manhattan Courtroom
Trump was livid, and totally out of control outside of the Manhattan courtroom where his fraud trial got underway on Monday. Opening statements by the state of New York were kept simple. No new evidence was revealed, but Trump was literally physically nudging his lawyers and urging them to fight back in court. The idea that Trump missed out on a jury trial because his lawyers forgot to check a box was amusing, but not really surprising given that Trump hasn’t attracted top-tier lawyers to represent him. The trial obviously means the world to Trump, and it will get more intense as the state’s evidence is presented, but today was not that day.
The truly damaging political blow from Donald Trump came from former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly who confirmed a whole lot of stories in a statement to CNN when he was asked about Trump suggesting Gen. Milley should be killed.
What can I add that has not already been said? A person that thinks those who defend their country in uniform, or are shot down or seriously wounded in combat, or spend years being tortured as POWs are all ‘suckers’ because ‘there is nothing in it for them.’ A person that did not want to be seen in the presence of military amputees because ‘it doesn’t look good for me.’ A person who demonstrated open contempt for a Gold Star family – for all Gold Star families – on TV during the 2016 campaign, and rants that our most precious heroes who gave their lives in America’s defense are ‘losers’ and wouldn’t visit their graves in France.
A person who is not truthful regarding his position on the protection of unborn life, on women, on minorities, on evangelical Christians, on Jews, on working men and women. A person that has no idea what America stands for and has no idea what America is all about. A person who cavalierly suggests that a selfless warrior who has served his country for 40 years in peacetime and war should lose his life for treason – in expectation that someone will take action. A person who admires autocrats and murderous dictators. A person that has nothing but contempt for our democratic institutions, our Constitution, and the rule of law.
There is nothing more that can be said. God help us.
There is a lot to unpack in Kelly’s statement, so let’s discuss the relevant points.
Trump Really Does Hate The Troops
Let’s list the stories about Trump hating the troops that Kelly confirmed:
1). Trump did call the troops suckers.
2). Trump did not want to be seen with military amputees.
3). Trump refused to visit the graves of fallen soldiers in France.
4). Trump called those who died for their country losers.
Other members of the military have expressed the belief that Trump has no concept of sacrifice for one’s country and that he doesn’t respect the sacrifices of others.
The Republican Party likes to wave the flag and say they love the troops, but if they really loved the troops, they would not be able to support Donald Trump, because he clearly hates the troops and those who served.
Trump isn’t defending America. He is spitting on one of the most patriotic acts an American can do.
John Kelly confirmed these stories about Trump and troops and if any of the other Republicans running for president had a spine, they would pounce.

Wow. I want that ad to run all over the country before the 2024 general election. Maybe some of his gullible followers will finally see the light.
