BREAKING: Donald Trump suffers a major court loss as a Colorado judge refuses his demand that he throw out the historic lawsuit that seeks to ban Trump him from the 2024 presidential ballot.

This could have HUGE implications for the election...

The lawsuit was brought by the watchdog group CREW and convincingly argues that Trump cannot be allowed on the ballot because the 14th Amendment explicitly prohibits insurrectionists from holding office.

Trump clearly engaged in insurrection on January 6th. One need only look at the footage of his speech before the attack and review his actions for the rest of the day to see that.

Colorado District Judge Sarah Wallace rejected Trump's desperate attempt to get the lawsuit dismissed on free-speech grounds. In her 22-page ruling, she said that she wasn't convinced by Trump's argument—

"The Court has no difficulty concluding that it is to the benefit of the general public that, regardless of political affiliation, only constitutionally qualified candidates are placed on the ballot," she wrote.

She went on to say that figuring out Trump’s eligibility is crucial because he wants "the highest office in the country" and "the disqualification sought is based on allegations of insurrection against the very government over which the candidate seeks to preside."

Trump and his supporters now have to hold out hope that one of his several pending challenges against the case succeed. Supporters of democracy must hope for the opposite.

A trial to determine whether or not Trump should be eligible for the ballot is set for October 30th, assuming it isn't foolishly dismissed before then. The hard deadline to resolve the issue is January 5th, because that's when the ballot processing begins for the March 5th Republican primary.

What choices are you making in your perception of the events around you?
We choose how we view our times.  There is a pinch of pessimism in our
culture now.  Counter it with small acts of optimism.
Pick up a piece of litter that isn't yours.  Show some extra grace on the
freeway.  Give to your food bank.  Smile at a child who is in your way.
Help someone you know.  Help someone you don't know.
The accumulation of small, optimistic acts produces quality in our culture
and in your life.  Our culture resonates in tense times to individual acts of
    grace.  What's your choice?

Wonderful if they would Bill but they will all be afraid of a Loon primary at election time for their errant behavior even if it is almost the only thing to do.

And yet the idiots keep cuddling up — like My Pillow and Guiliani. Even
Rony Jackson couldn't stay on as WH Doctor. They just don't seem to get it.

Does no one ever assess events from their past to try and possibly improve the present or future. You'd think surely someone would notice the correlations here but they just keep putting their hands in the door that slams on them.

BREAKING: Prominent Pro-Trump Republican activist shoots his wife multiple times and then turns the gun on himself in the parking lot of a Florida burger restaurant.

Police say that, after being shot, the wife of political activist Steven Alembik ran into the restaurant “bleeding profusely” and begging for someone to call paramedics. The activist stayed in his car, where he “took his own life” with his gun.

According to police, he shot his wife “in the back and arm” — and she is currently fighting for her life “in critical condition.”

Alembik was a major Republican donor, a die-hard supporter of Donald Trump, and stirred controversy by calling President Obama a “Muslim n*gger” and tweeting that “Ruth Bader Ginsburg can't die soon enough.”

He was a regular guest at Mar-a-Lago — and had close ties to President Trump and other Republican leaders like Florida Senator Rick Scott and Florida Governor DeSantis.

Shockingly, prominent Trumper Laura Loomer praised the murderous activist today, declaring that he was a “wonderful and kindhearted man” — despite the fact that he had just attempted to kill his wife.

    Simply deplorable
