Good to read. HOPE it comes to pass.
BREAKING: MAGA Congressman Jim Jordan gets terrible news to start his week as it leaks that his grand scheme to seize the Speakership is likely doomed due to a secret plan within his own party.
According to a new report from CNN, one senior Republican Congressman has revealed that there are "approximately 20" members of the caucus who plotted over the weekend to take to the floor this week to derail Jordan's plans for the Speakership.
If true, Jordan won't even come within spitting distance of the 217 votes he will need to wrangle to seize the powerful position that was recently held by Kevin McCarthy. In fact, he's far from even breaking 200 votes. At least 40 Republicans refuse to fall in line behind him.
"The approximately 20 I’ve talked to know we must be prepared," the anonymous Republican told CNN. "We cannot let the small group dictate to the whole group. They want a minority of the majority to dictate and as a red-blooded American I refuse to be a victim."
"I know of many hard nos," they added. "We can’t reward this behavior. We can’t let a small group be dictators."
It can not be stressed enough just how ill-suited Jim Jordan is for a position of such great power. In addition to being an immoral coward who ignored rampant sexual abuse during his time at Ohio State University, he's a fanatical Trumper with no loyalty to our Constitution.
Jim Jordan must fail for America to succeed.1 -
But they do keep right on trying.

I'm here. Following all the busy days surrounding a wedding, we ended up in Wisconsin for a family funeral (for my dear, cool, totally still 'with it' 88 year old aunt). So, I ( probably thankfully considering all the horrible things going on in the country & world) have not had very much time to watch the news. I can not even believe the whole Jim Gordon mess….really, Republicans would actually pick someone who wanted to overthrow an election as the 3rd in line for the presidency…..just wow! And the news from the Middle East makes me ill.

Jackie, I’ve been having medical issues and currently hospitalized. I only have my phone with me, it’s small and it sucks to read and type on! So I’ve been reading this thread but this place is keeping me almost too busy to concentrate. Please know your posts are a bright spot in my day!
To explain the medical stuff briefly, I had a rod placed in my femur and now they’re checking my lungs for pulmonary embolism.
I wanted to mention Suzanne Somers death. I had mixed feelings about her. She was some what controversial about her approach to breast care/healthcare.
However, she made a major difference in my life years before she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She wrote a book about being an adult child of an alcoholic. I had never known that was even a thing. But it was definitely me. This was many years ago back in the 1980s. I was wondering why my life seemed to never move forward as a young adult and her book was the beginning of giving me insight into how years of living with an alcoholic father had shaped me and was now preventing me from living fully. Suzanne’s book gave me insight about unlearning old behaviors used to survive and learning new behaviors to go after the life I wanted. For that reason, I will always be grateful to Suzanne Somers. May she rest in peace

Btw, I’d love for Sarah Huckabee to have to leave office in disgrace for being part of a felony.
And I especially love the Obama meme mentioning his birth certificate. Love it!!

Service is closer to generosity than it is to duty. It connects us to one another and to life itself. When we experience our connectedness, serving others becomes the natural and joyful thing to do. Over the long run, fixing and helping are draining but service is renewing. When you serve, your work itself will sustain you, renew you, and bless you, often over many years. -Rachel Naomi Remen

Divine, Hugs and hope to you that all turns out well during your hospital stay. It's hard to be in a hospital and as you note can be busy for you as well. I do know trying to work on a phone when you are use to a "home" computer can give you a case of the 'buggies'. Thanks for letting us all know how and where you are at the moment.
I was not even sure at first that Suzanne Sommers had passed away. Then I saw a second article and knew then it was true. I had some of the same mis-giving feelings as you. I did not care at all for Suzanne's idea of how to treat breast cancer. I also hoped that others would not be too heavily influenced by her way. I do understand that we all get to choose whatever avenue we feel is best, but I worried because at the time I do think well known "stars" were more apt to be paid attention to more. It can be difficult to make the decision to poison yourself so to speak, to hopefully bring cancer to its knees and more. I struggled with it but glad I chose a VERY standard treatment that worked for me. I've been NED of breast cancer since 2007. I did though have cancer again (new primary) in my rt. ureter. Had to have that removed along with rt kidney although kidney was fine. If I had tried to keep the kidney I would have had to have been heavily sedated every 3 months for five yrs. to check on the kidney. Too much sedation for way too long for someone my age so I opted to have them take the kidney along with the ureter. Then, after the original surgery, I ended up showing cancer in the bladder three different times before we wiped it out. That was all about three yrs. ago. Fine now and praying to stay that way.

Uh, Trump,
Judge Chutkan hands Trump a BRUTAL loss: “This trial will not yield to the election cycle and we will not revisit the trial date.”

As always though, he will find someone else who will do what he wants done and say what he can't.
