BREAKING: A nuclear bomb of bad news hits Donald Trump as his former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows is granted immunity by Special Counsel Jack Smith in exchange for testifying about what he knows.
This is how mafia bosses fall...
According to sources familiar with the proceedings, Meadows has spoken when Jack Smith's team at least three times this year — including at least one time in front of a federal grand jury. Meadows' meetings were facilitated by a historic immunity deal.
Meadows told Smith that he REPEATEDLY told Trump in the weeks following the 2020 election that the allegations of widespread voter fraud were utterly baseless. Meadows said to that investigators that Trump was "dishonest" with the public by pushing the Big Lie.
"Obviously we didn't win," Meadows told Smith's team.
This bodes exceptionally well for American democracy and extremely poorly for Donald Trump. With Meadows on board, it seems like Smith's team is ready to bring the hammer down on Trump.0 -

And second in line for the presidency……..great………

Ruth, I think it goes Pres. Biden, then Harris, then Speaker of the House, but he is second in line if you don't count the line with Biden in it.
I think that is hideous. I also wonder if the Reps. were hell-bent on getting someone of their own group and finally made a pact to stand behind Johnson when he fell in line as next. I think time will tell when some of the important items come up for vote — like keeping the U.S. open etc. I also think Johnson wants to deny any more aid of any kind to Ukraine. There are a number of Reps. who DO understand that we need to keep helping Ukraine — so when that comes up we will see.
Johnson's speech before he was sworn in was all pretty much hail fellow so I think we will see as time and necessary events that must get done come up. He may end up being about sorry an excuse and McCarthy was.

BREAKING: Donald Trump is dealt a humiliating blow in court as he's sworn in as a witness to answer for violating his gag order — immediately falls flat on his face — and gets slapped with a $10,000 fine.
This is just too good...
Trump was sworn in as a witness to respond to the obviously true allegations that he violated the gag order that prevents him from talking about court staff in his civil fraud case.
The disgraced former president took to the stand, straightened his wrinkled jacket, and sat down. He took the oath and then faced Judge Arthur Engoron.
The judge asked Trump if he had indeed said that he is a "very partisan judge with a person who is very partisan sitting alongside him, perhaps even more partisan than he is."
"Yes," said Trump with a nod.
"To whom were you referring?" Engoron asked.
“You and Cohen,” Trump replied.
"Are you sure that you didn’t mean the person on the other side, my principal law clerk?" Engoron asked.
"Yes I’m sure," Trump said.
Trump left the stand after testifying for a brief three minutes. The judge, unconvinced, then slapped him with a $10,000 fine.
Given Trump's mounting legal fees, this is not the kind of thing he can afford right now.0 -
BREAKING: Republican Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is slammed with ANOTHER corruption scandal as it's revealed that he failed to repay a "significant portion" of the money he borrowed from a "friend" for a $267,230 luxury motorhome.
This just keeps getting worse...
In other words, Thomas essentially accepted a hugely expensive gift without reporting it. The "loan" that wasn't really a loan changed hands in 1999.
The shocking revelation was included in a report from the Senate Finance Committee. It reveals that after nine years, and an unclear number of interest payments, the big loan was "forgiven" by Anthony Welter, a former healthcare executive.
"This was, in short, a sweetheart deal," a congressional expert witness told the The New York Times.
The RV in question was the highly coveted Prevost Le Mirage XL Marathon, described by the grandson of the previous owner as "superluxury, really bougie."
At this point, Clarence is taking everything short of giant cartoon bags with dollar signs on them.
The problem here is obvious. Anyone with a deep wallet can directly influence Thomas and his rulings.
He must resign and face legal consequences.1
