20 years of Stage 4 MBC de novo!!!

Yay me! Today is the start of my 20th year of Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer de novo! 20 years of chemo sure has been a challenge. And after 20 years of CT and PET scans, why don't I glow in the dark? Doing my best to hang in here and I sure have been Blessed!

Denny: you don't know how you lifted me up today. There is always hope. I remember you from when I got my initial DX and I thought -- wow - I am not going to die tomorrow. I am so happy for you.

Congratulations!!! Gives me hope -- although 20 years of MBC would put me at 97. This week is my one-month with MBC, hoping to be posting here for a long time.

Congratulations Denny!! Your wonderful news really lifted my spirits this morning!

    Here is 120 ๐Ÿฅ‚

  • This is just curiosity more than anything else but how do you know you are not cured.

Like do they still see cancer on the scan and its inactive or what do they see on the scans.

Thanks so much everyone! Love you all!

Sunnidays-there is no cure for Stage 4 since there will always be cancer cells circulating in our bodies. And I do have a spot in my liver, so it might be a liver recurrence.

No cure, but it is treated like a chronic disease with meds forever...like diabetes.

  • Long-term controls of the disease for those of us with MBC seemes to be the way things are going as opposed to there being a cure, diying with it and not of it.

congratulation on your long-term control long may it last.
