Tamoxifen after 5 years?

in Hormonal Therapy - Before, During, and After

Hi :) I am 54 years old and was on Arimidex for 1.5 years (side effects were too much for me) and Tamoxifen for 3.5 years. I was not menopausal when I started, but I am now. I assumed after five years that I would be done, but my oncologist has now said I should stay on for at least two more years. I'm seriously considering stopping. I just feel like my body needs to naturally finish menopause. I'm having such severe hot flashes that my husband can't get anywhere near me. Thoughts???
