Rise in Tumor Marker

I’m about 1.5 years out of treatment with left IDC stage 1a triple positive.

Had a routine blood panel run and my CA 27.29, which had never been high, was 159. A bilateral diagnostic mammo a few weeks ago was BIRADS 2 with a lingering, but shrinking seroma. They’d finally moved me back to annual screening mammos and six month follow ups with oncologist.

The high tumor marker threw me for a loop. Onco wants a retest and I’m schedule for that in six days in case injury, infection, or inflammation set off my system.

I will let you know how it goes.

After the 2nd dx, my tumor markers stayed stable for about 4 years. Last June they started to go up. MO ordered pet/ ct. They had gone up to 150, and climbing. My bones lit up. The markers at around 250, am currently on TRUQAP, waiting on next lab tests to see if it’s working

Good news. The retest this morning dropped things back down into the normal range. 8 days later, dropped from 159.5 to 27.7.
