Thank you for sharing your story…best of luck to you with your upcoming surgeries! I was fortunate in that my surgeon got excellent margins. I had asked that she take extra margins just to be sure and she absolutely did. When she called my sister out in the waiting area after the surgery she actually commented that I would be happy because she did the first margins sent that down to pathology and went back and took out extra. That is just so important with lobular cancer. I did five day hyper fractionated breast radiation which went well . I still find myself worrying about reoccurrences or metastasis but I’m working on trying to quiet those thoughts… guess I am still in shock that this even happened.I am confident with my decision not to take the aromatase inhibitors due to bone loss and my osteoarthritis also. I have researched everything online and feel I have made the best decision for myself. I am scheduled for my CEM mammography at Msk on October 20 so will be glad to get that over with. Six months later followed by MRI with contrast. I’m sure I will have that regiment for up to 10 years likely. Again, good luck with everything let me know how you make out with your surgery💕
