WOW....all the kids from the party just came trick-or-treating in one big bunch. Must have been 20-25 of them. SUCH CUTE costumes though, really neat seeing them all. Had to refill the candy bowl already!

Gail, that is waaaaaay tooo cool.....turned out so neat!!! And the feet turned out perfect. How did the "egg" car look? Love it! Feel sorta bad I did not do a cool costume this year...some of the kids (and parents) asked why I wasn't dressed up this year. My gawd we had lots of kids...finally turned the lights out at 8....now to get into what Scuby gave out.....LOL.

We had about 15 kids.....the numbers seem to get fewer and fewer every year!!  DS said we gave out the "crap" stuff!!!   Well I guess it depends if you like dipsy doodles or not!!!!

I talked to Mom tonight and shared the email from her counselor and then forwarded it to Mom...Mom said she wanted to wait till Thursday and see what her counselor said to her then....then mom said to me I don't know, I don't know, I don't know....Mom also doesn't think Dad is ready to be "placed" long term right now.....I know it has a lot to do with just figuring it all out and making a decision......Its so hard being so far....I just got home and ready to go back!!!

Feeling a little better so had a glass or 2 or Cabernet...but I'm soooo tired....going to watch the news then go to bed....DD#2 is still doing homework...working on a project for To Kill a Mocking bird

I missed the posts prior to my last one, ooops, foygot to refresh after reading and wuz multi-tasking. I am "watching" a direct TV tutorial and have missed what I am trying to figure out four times now. And I am not even dwunk! I am trying to rewind to watch the monologues on Leno and Letterman to hear what they have to say about the big Kardasian announcement. As much as I am over that annoying family, I want to hear what the comedians are saying about it.

Karen, so glad you are feeling better and able to down a little wine. You have had such a whirl wind week on top of everything else you have been going through. Girl, reading your posts makes me think a lot of my own parents.  And seeing you write the word "place" hits a very tender spot in my own heart. Praying for you and your parents too.

Tiedie, there is "no guilt" drinking here. I think I made a new rule! Not bragging, to say the least but I had to drink the night before every stressful day of my journey including the night before my BMX (mastectomy). I will say some special prayers for you. Come on in, grab a stool, I think there are a lot of hugz waiting for you here.

Chrissy, I am a rebel, I have never licensed my dogs. I figure if I get caught, the fee is much less than all the money I have saved over the years. I am glad that there are no fees to bwing our furbabies into the htl. Will you sit next to me for a bit?

Kathy, about my night, had a great time, I was impressed with everything. When I pulled up, a beautiful young gal was sitting outside playing guitar and singing Christian Folk music. They had her set up with a mike and lighting. She also had a heat lamp on her. I first thought it was lighting but the thing kicked out heat from a propane bottle! (I want one of these for outdoors). She had the most beautiful voice. There were bands earlier in the evening but I missed them. Behind the church, they had a mechancal bull, pony rides, henna tatoos (I got my first ever). They had great food and even great dwinks. I had best coffee, it really hit the spot....had whipped cream on my second cup. It was great in that it was an indoor/outdoor event. I got to know a few of the church members. The event is opened to the entire community, not just members. They did an awesome job.

Still trying to figure out this TV stuff, technology makes me nutS! (insert sarcasm here)....

I am glad to see ma' gals in the lounge dis late. I am wound like a top!! CHEERz!

Still learning the ropes on navigating this site and not sure this is the rite place to post this so please bear with me.  I was diagnosed a couple of weeks ago, will meet with the surgeon tomorrow.....have been doing GREAT...working, being mom and girlfriend etc....but today I CRASHED BIG TIME.  Stayed in bed till 11:00 and didn't even get the kid off to school.  I feel so guilty!!  I'm in such a funk and I was doing so well!  I'm discouraged and depressed. HELP!!

Hey Tiedy, don't beat yourself up about falling in the hole ....... we've all been there done that.  We, as women, have a tendancy to try to make everything right for everyone else when we are the ones that need it for ourselves.  Please don't be discouraged, the journey you are facing is a difficult one but one that can be navigated with good friends and family to help.  BCO is a great place to come to to learn and talk with others who have gone before you. Where you stand now, is the threshold of a journey none of us want to take but we are here when ever you want to talk, rant, rave, cry, laugh (and you will) and just plain make friends.  Come as often as you like we are here for you.

This particular thread is a happy one but we do know how to support someone when support is required.

Big (((HUGS))) for you, tiedyemom. Let us know how tomorrow goes. As Chrissy and DorK said, we have been in your shoes, and please realize it is normal to just crash and burn. You will be going through a lot of scary thoughts and emotions, and sometimes just need to curl up in a ball, stay in bed, and deal the best you can, with your recent dx. Lots of good information on the different threads here, and very supportive gals. Come here and drink with us (in reality, or in the cyberworld), and vent if you need to. We are a very caring group. Sorry you had the need for this site, but glad you stumbled into the lounge.
